I fell in love with Dr. W. and his staff immediately. He was attentive, informative, professional yet not condescending. He understood what I was going through and was supportive.. He remains that way even post op. HIs staff were patient with my need for knowledge and information IMMEDIATELY!
Dr. Weber has a very structured after care program. He wants us on liquids for 8 weeks-first 4:see through; second 4: what will go through a straw. Then you gradually add foods. He gives you some handouts. He is also available by phone and is online. He has a really wonderful presence in his office-he comes out in the waiting room and schmoozes with the patients and introduces them to each other. HE also educates the nurses at the hospitals he operates out of about bariatric patients. He doesn't just do WLS.
Dr. Weber is top notch in my book. Not only did everything he predict happen but he initially helped me set realistic expectations. He is big on patient self education. I agree because this makes us active in our "recovery". Aside from his excellent surgical skills, he is a genuinely caring individual. I would want him in my heaven! :)
I met for the first time with Dr. Weber Nov 2
I was impressed. He seemed experienced and
confident in what he does. He answered all
of my questions. I have a couple more appoint-
ments and tests and then will scedule for VGB
Hoping to have surgery in Jan.
He talked about aftercare being cruical and
about this being a drastic change. I am comforable
with having him for my surgeon.
