Dr Babineau was a wonder. Before my surgery I was taking several pills a day for diabtes, blood pressure, cholesterol. I was on a CPAP machine for my sleep apena. Since my surgery the only pills I take are the vitamins and Tums and the CPAP is history. I feel much better and so happy I chose to do the surgery.

When I met Dr.B. at the group meeting and then a one on one meeting I was alittle unsure about the weight loss Surgery. Before Surgery He came to see me and was concerned with my Fatty Liver and did a Biopsy before he did the Surgery. I felt like he checks all the risk. After Surgery before I left the Hospitol he wanted to make sure I was ready to leave and not to leave until I thought I was ready. He made sure I was free of pain. My visit to the Office was with his Staff. Who are great. He and they make sure they know what is going on with you. Dr.B. and his Staff are great. They want you to call the Office if you have any problems or you don't understand what to do. I beleive Dr. B. is a GREAT Surgeon and Freda, Kathy, and Lisa are SUPER too!!

I really enjoy Dr. Babineau's office staff-as for him I have only seen him 1 time in the 6 months I had to wait to get approved. I usually just saw his ofc nurse or the Nurse Practitioner. I saw his surgical asst before my surgery..and him too briefly..and then the NP after my surgery, but I've really enjoyed his staff--couldn't ask for any better!!

I loved the way his web site gave you a lot of information regarding the surgery and his procedures.

I first met Dr. Babineau at the orientation class at his office. He saw me for the first consultation and came off as very shy. The next time I saw him was the day of my surgery. He was very confident and wanted to get to work. His office staff is GREAT! Everyone is so, so nice and ready to celebrate with you at every chance. His website gives a ton of information and his aftercare is very strict. He is very adament about certain things like \"protein first\" and drinking enough fluids. Overall I have had a very pleasant experience with him and his office.

Dr. B has been awesome. I was a little bothered by the fact that I never seen him after surgery. BUT I do know he was on the phone with the nurses as they needed to speak with him. The nurses were very well prepared for me as a patient of DR. B's. All the things I needed were available. I really enjoyed ALL the nurses. I would give Dr.B. a great rating. All his staff have been well prepared to deal with any problem that I have had. Thanks to them all.

Dr. Babineau has been great so far. When you go to your first meeting with him he really lays it all on the line to you. I am not worried at all being under his care, as i am positive he is more than capable of performing the surgery. The staff in his office is great and Freda is like an angel to us all. She works so very hard for your approvement and I am so thankful for her help. i have heard great things about having the surgery at ETMC in Tyler.

Dr. Babineau was very professional, concerned, and listened to my problems with interest. His staff was very friendly and caring. He seems a bit shy, but answered all my questions and spent quality time with me. He seemed very concerned with my care in the hospital, as did Cathy, his Pa. All my needs were met at the hospital with care and concern. He went over the risk of the surgery with me in great detail, and explained every detail of the surgery, so that there were no surprises. I think he is an excellant surgeon, and genuinely concerned with each patient as an individual. His aftercare seems excellant, and the ladies that work for him are all sweet and kind. I would recommend him to anyone considering surgery or lap band. My experience at ETMC was also excellant, and I was kept comfortable, and attended to well. The only negative thing I would add is, I was moved the last night of my stay at the hospital, and the nurses at the new floor and room, although very caring and attenttive, seemed to not be as informed as to the care of a bariatric patient, as were the ones on my original floor.

The first time I met Dr.Babineau was during a group consultation in his outer office. His nurse spoke first and then he came in and gave a brief discussion with models of both lapband and RNY procedures. He was wearing cowboy boots and sat down and crossed his legs kinda matter of factly. He appeared very competent but extremely shy. Later each of us was called in one on one with him. I had already been told that if you had any questions, you needed to have them prepared and ask. He told me that I was definitely a candidate and asked why I had chosen the RNY over the lapband. Our entire meeting lasted only 15 minutes tops. rnHIS STAFFrnHe has absolutely the best staff with each person having a specialized job and they do it well. Catherine made all appointments. Frieda gathered all necessary insurance information. She is outstanding at getting you approved. The nutritionist (sorry forgot her name)met with me after hours because I could not get over any oter time. Cathi met with me one week prior to surgery to go over details. Lisa met with me at the hospital to detail what would be happening. rnONLY CONCERNrnMy only concern which was really not a concern, was that I only met with Dr. Babineau for 15 minutes before he walked into the surgical room. I thought that very odd. He visited once the next day for about 4 minutes in the hospital room and told me that I would be seeing Cathi when I came in for my 6 weeks checkup and would see him in 6 months. rnI WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE IN THE EAST TEXAS AREA. I WAS TOLD THAT HOSPITAL STAFF CHOOSE HIM AS THEIR SURGEON. THAT SPEAKS HIGHLY RIGHT THERE. AND I HAVE ONLY 5 LITTLE PUNCTURE HOLES THAT WILL NOT SHOW AT ALL IN A YEAR.
