Giselle Hamad Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.
I was a little intimidated initially, due to her businesslike demeanor, but once you have talked with her for several minutes, you can see that she is really a caring person and very concerned for your well-being. Her office staff is great too, and I had no problems at all with them...rnrnShe is quite strict about weight gain, however. If you gain weight, your operation will be cancelled. (I was quite nervous about going in for my final pre-op, but all was well!)rnrnDr. Hamad is very thorough and makes sure that you know what you're getting yourself into. She utilizes short videos to detail everything you should expect at all phases of your relationship with her.
She was a fantaastic Surgeon and I would recommend her to anyone I know. She was very knowledgeable and I felt very informed before I even got close to having the Surgery. She is also very strict, but that is the way it should be.rnrnAftercare is VERY important to both her and her staff and they make sure you are comfortable with calling them about even the smallest thing.rnrnShe was veryupfront about all of the risks involved with the Surgery and afterwards.rnrnBoth Surgical Competence and Bedside Manner were terrific!rnrnA++++++++++++ for Dr. Hamad & her team!
Dr. Hamad is very professional and means business. This is a very big life changing decision and all vital information is laid out in a very detailed format. Gina as well as the rest of her staff were helpful and answered any question I had. Although they provided an abundance of information, it is very important to do you own home work and be prepared. I had surgery 10 days ago and the key is to follow the structured program Dr. Hamad has laid out and keep a positive attitude. As this journey continues I am very confident in Dr. Hamad , myself and her staff to a very successful weight loss. rnrnDr. Hamad thank you sooo much and showing me there is a tool to help in this battle.rnrnAny future patient should consider Dr. Hamad for this bypass surgery......Make an appointment...... Ask questions... Be prepared.... and I am very confident this will be the surgeron you choose.

Dr. Hamad was fantastic to deal with... being a female I really connected with her from go. She has a sweet but firm disposition. I appreciated her honesty and loved how she was very thorough. This was steady through the entire process. The follow up seemed almost too breif though and although she does have a support group, she does not allow us to chat freely, we HAVE to stay on topic. The office staff was more than kind and answered any questions or concerns I might have at any time through the process, although it can be difficult to actually talk to someone. I also have to mention the she had an assistant Dr. Ward who was WONDERFUL! I highly recommend Dr. Hamad!
I have only met Dr Hamad one time but she appears to be very professional. puts your safety first. Her office help are so wonderful. Any questions i had or have they are patient and assist any way they can. rnrnok now i'm post op and i can say that i'd never choose another dr for the surgery. she was great all the way!!!!!!!!
I loved Dr Hamad. She will make sure you are fully informed about the risks that you are taking. rnrnHowever, her office staff is just horrible! I've had the worse experience ever with the people who handle insurance in that office. I sometimes wonder if they even care! They dont return my phone calls. I've had Blue Cross & Blue Shield tell me one thing and then the office tell me another thing. It's pretty sad for once I can say that I am not fighting with my insurance company but I am fighting with my surgeons office staff! At first I thought that maybe it was just they were having a bad day. But its always happening. I am actually thinking about filing a formal complaint with the hospital.
