I MEET DR. VENINGA ON FEB. 23,2000 MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF HIM WAS THAT HE WAS VERY SINCERE AND THAT HE CARES ABOUT THE SEVERE OBESE AND THAT HE IS HONEST. HE HAS A WONDERFUL OFFICE STAFF I GOT TO MEET BARBARA AND SHE WAS VERY HELPFUL AND POLITE. SHE SEEMS TO CARE ABOUT THE PATIENTS AS WELL. I WOULD TELL ANYONE THAT HE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING AND THAT HE SEEMS SINCERE. HE OFFERS A AFTERCARE PROGRAM THAT HE RECOMMENDS AFTER SURGER. HE MENTIONED THE RISKS OF THE SURGERY AND ALSO THE GOOD THINGS AS WELL. I WOULD GIVE DR. VENINGA A 10 SO FAR, I LIKE HIM HE HAS GOOD BEDSIDE MANNERS AND A GOOD SINCE OF SURGICAL COMPETENCE BOTH ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO ME.I'M EXCITED ABOUT THE ENTIRE HEALTHY GOOD FELLING IDEA!!!!! THIS IS MY SECOND CHANCE TO LIVE MY LIFE HEALTHY AND TO BE WITH MY FAMILY ALOT LONGER AND TO BE ABLE TO DO THINGS WITH MY CHILDREN LIKE OTHER MOTHERS THAT ARE HEALTHY.. I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU JESUS FOR MAKING A WAY FOR SO MANY PEOPLE TO GET A SECOND CHANCE AT A HEALTHY LIFE...THANK YOU JESUS (SMILE)!!!!! THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING I WOULD SAY IS THAT I WOULD RATHER THE DR. HAVE A PROGRAM THAT WOULD ALLOW THE DR. A SPEEDY DICTATION PERIOD SO THAT IT MAY GET TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY QUICKER...THAT'S NOT TOO BAD,BUT IT WOULD BE NICE.

I had my appointment with Dr. V. on 4/11/01. He made me feel very comfortable and answered any questions that I had. I am looking forward to having him as my surgeon. 06/04/01 - I have heard many different stories about my dr. Many love him, and there are even the few that hate him. I still believe in his ability and I am still looking forward to having him perform my surgery.

I had my 1st consultation with Dr. V yesterday. I really like him and he seemed really nice. He is very personable and funny. Everyone in Dr. V's office was very nice. My appointment was at 3pm and he was waiting on me to finish filling out my paperwork. I was in with him by 3:05 and didn't leave his office until 4:30. He went over everything in detail, and we went over my medical history and diet history. I asked several questions and he answered them in detail.

I liked Dr. Veninga as soon as I met him. He was very understanding of the life the obese live. He is very empathetic to our emotional, mental and physical needs. I was made to feel totally comfortable in a doctor's office for the first time in years. He was very upfront and stated the facts without insulting me or hurting my feelings. I trust him. He told me that the doctor who did my Gall Bladder surgery had left me with a hernia. I didn't realize that. Talk about being in touch with your body! He said he would fix it.
What I disliked the most was the drive to his office. It was very long, but worth every minute and toll charge. He spent an hour and a half talking to me and anwered all of my questions. He did get technical, but I have read alot and understood what he was saying. They say that Surgeons rarely have a bed side manner, but that is not true of Dr. Veninga. He was wonderful.
His office staff was very nice and helpful. They went out of their way to help and make me feel comfortable.
I rate Dr. Veninga as a 9 so far.

Dr.Veninga seems to be real nice. He answered all of the questions that my husband and I had. I've read that he can take a wile to send the letter to the insurance companies but with in a week he had sent me a copy of mine. His office staff are very nice and helpful as well. They tried to help answer and questions that we had reguarging insurance and a payment plan for the portion that was not covered. With what I know of him so far I would recommend him to others. The only thing I did not like was waiting for an hour and a half to see him on the day of my consultation but we will see if its that way all the time. He is willing to go over an aftercare program with you but as of now he only intends on seeing you 5 or 6 times after surgery. He is very clear on the risks with out scaring you to death. I would rate him at a 9 for now.

My first impression of Dr Veninga is that he cares about his patients and wants to make sure they have all their questions asked. He spends as much time with each patient as they need to ensure they are comfortable with the surgery.

My famiily went with me to my first appointment. They figured this is going to affect all our lives. Dr Veninga's staff was wonderful. They were very nice and there was always a smile on their faces. Dr Veninga is wonderful. He spent 1.5 hrs with us explaining and answering all our questions. My husband was concerned for my health and wanted the risks explained in detail. My daughter is a pre-med major in college and Dr Veninga took the time to explain the surgery in details so that she could understand.I was just very happy with the potential results and the fact that this man truely seems to care about my health now and in the future. I am waiting for approval.

I was very pleased with Dr. Veninga and his staff, they have all been great! He was very thorough and very honest about the good aspects of the surgery and also the complications and negative aspects. He has a great support group that meets once a month.

My first impression of Dr. Veninga was a very good one. He was very patient, and answered all of my questions. His office staff is very friendly, professional, and informative. It was the first time in a long time that I actually felt good about going to see a doctor. He holds a support group for pre op and post op every third Thursday of the month, and he encourages everyone to attend. He actually runs these support groups himself. I am currently waiting for insurance approval, and I hope to hear something soon.

First Impression was good. Went to first seminar and support meeting 01/18/01. Talked to several people and all were very satisfied with Doctor Veninga.

He has been performing the Roux-en-Y for about Six months and completed successfully about 20 RNY's. He has a background of Eighteen years in general surgery as Francis David Veninga. License granted in 1993 by Texas Board of Surgions.
I was satisfied with his knowledge and carring of the patients he has performed surgery on.

Will know more after my office visit, 01/08

Office visit went good. The doctor was not in any hurry and my wife and I were able to ask all the questions we brought with us and could think of. He is very profesional and I look forward to having the operation performed by Veninga

Had surgery 27th. No problems, was out of hospital 3 day's. Doing very good.
