Dr. Olsen, the man who helped prolong my life!! I love him!! My husband loves him!! rnrnDr Olsen knows his stuff. He is great. My first impression of Dr O was he is very serious, BUT this turned out to be great. He is serious, but he is very funny as well. He is very knowledgeable about bariatric surgery and was one of the first to do laproscopic - I thank God everyday that I chose him. He is very concerned about your health and well being and makes sure that you know what is going to happen and take place during and after your surgery. He lets you know the good the bad and the ugly (which I am very proud that he does, because for me, I want to know everything). He gives you the tool to help with your weight loss and you have to work your plan and follow it to succeed. I feel that he is the BEST surgeon. I made the correct decision of chosing Dr. Olsen. His office staff is great. They are always willing to help in any way they can. They have all gone above and beyond. I love them as well and feel that the whole office is now a part of my extended family.rnrnThe Centennial Center for the Treatment for Obesity is a Center of Excellence which provides a wonderful aftercare program for life. They are constantly finding something to make things better for all their patients.rnrnWay to Go Dr. O!!!!!!!!
1/23/02 Met with Dr. Olsen. The man comes highly recommended by my endocrinologist. Also, his answers, personality, skill, talent all shine. He stressed the necessity to use the tool like a tool. He discussed aftercare. All the risks were wll laid out. All the positives were reviewed. He was very, very thorough, calm, not rushed at all. I couldnt believe over an hour had passed. rnrn1/23/03rnOne year later, reflecting...I would trust Dr. Olsen with my life literally. Again, Dr. Olsen's surgery is impeccable. His bedside manner needs much touching up. He is dry, serious, at times grim. However, I have some concerns and issues that seem to go unheeded. These issues are concerning his office staff and followup care and directions. I read all of his patients' followup letters here on the site. They all laud the aftercare. However, many important issues were missed with me. I found at times for his office staff to be neither supportive nor encouraging. I have been brushed off as a \"difficult patient\" Due to this, I have ceased returning to his office after the 3rd post op visit. rnrnI have sent a letter to the nurse Debbie running the program at Centennial but havent heard more. I have continued to send other patients to him nonetheless
When you first meet Dr. Olsen he appears stern and you can tell that he wants his patients to succeed. Dr. Olsen and his office staff are friendly and make you feel welcome and they are proud of you and your accomplishments. Dr. Olsens office does have structured after care programs and Dr. Olsen wants all of his patients to attend and on each visit he will ask you about attending the program. He described the surgery in great detail and answered any question my family and I had. I think I made the right decision by choosing Dr. Olsen. I think he is deciated to his career and does a superior job. I think surgical competence is more important than bedside manner but I think Dr. Olsen has both.
