David Fischer Bariatric Surgeon M.D.,F.A.C.S.

Dr. Fischer is a very caring, gentle, exceptional surgeon. He is not only a superb surgeon -- he is a wonderful person! Dr. Fischer was able to do my procedure LAP even though my BMI was over 60. As silly as it may sound -- I love Dr. Fischer for not bringing more pain to my body, for treating me kindly and thoroughly, and giving me a new chance at life! He was the answer to all my prayers. All my fears about gastric bi-pass were put to rest under his gifted abilities. I'd highly recommend him to anyone interested in LAP RNY surgery.

He is very personalble. He answered all my questions and concerns. Hhis staff bends over backwards to help everytone, and they are always pleasant. He and his group of Bariatric Surgeons put a lot of empahsis on after care they have monthly support group meetings that both pre and post op patients can attend. They consider you a patient for life once you have surgery, yearly follow up appointments and bloods tests are expected to be kept.

Dr Fischer seems young, kind and knowledgeable. I felt comfortable the first time I met him. My primary care physician, Dr J. Heck spoke highly of Dr Fischer and I trust Dr Heck.

I had my surgery August third of this year and everything went smoothly. Dr Fischer is wonderful, he stopped in to see me every morning and every evening I was in hospital except the last day (he only stopped in the morning because he was going to be in the office all day). He is open to questions and has no problem sharing information with me or my other doctors. I rate him a 10 out of 10 and if I ever need surgery again I want him or someone equivalent to him. He has a wonderful bedside manner and his surgical competence is excellent since I have had no complications, very little pain during my hospital stay, I was sore but stopped taking the pain meds by day 3 after getting out of the hospital because I did not need it. My incisions have healed nicely. Dr Fischer prescribes Prevacid the first month or so and by taking that I had no food issues, no nausea at all.
His pa (Anne) is wonderful, anything I needed all I had to do was ask by phone or email and she answered me quickly. The only negative thing I can think of is Dr Fischer only does wls one day a week so scheduling your surgery might take longer than you like.

I cannot tell you how much I like my Dr and his staff. They make you feel at home and talk to you on your level. I fyou don't understand something they walk you thru until you do. Dr.Ficsher has a sense of humor and is a genuinly nice man. The satff is incredible(Thanks Karen) and everyone there your tops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Fishchers office is all willing to do this WLS for me. But their hands have been tied because of insurance. They are a wonderful group of people I wouldn't trade them for the world. The support of the staff is unbelievable and very heartfelt. I truly believe them when they say it will all work out we wont let you slip through the cracks!!!

I will hopefully be having my surgery with Dr. David Fischer at the University of Cincinnati.He seems very young but is very informative and knows what he's talking about.He is in practice with Dr.Gersin whom I have heard only good things about.His staff was wonderful and very helpful.He took plenty of time with me to answer any and all questions that I had.He explained all of the risks and everything that I may go through after the procedure was performed.After meeting him just once I would rate him a 9.9.Hopefully that will be a 10 after surgery.

WHAT A GREAT SURGEON I HAVE.THE BEST BEDSIDE MANNER EVER.I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 4 DAYS AND HE CAME TO CHECK ON ME AM AND PM EVERY DAY.DR. FISCHER IS A WONDERFUL SURGEON,EVEN THOUGH HE HAD TO OPEN ME UP (LOL) BUT HE IS VERY CARING AND IS THERE TO HELP IN ANYWAY HE CAN.HE DOES HAVE AN AFTERCARE PROGRAM AND A SUPPORT GROUP.A GREAT DIETICIAN AS WELL.THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. FISCHER!!!!!!!!

I was very impressed with Dr. Fischer and I feel ver comfortable with him and confident in him and his abilities. Also one of my client's Dr's Dr. Dumont also gave hin 2 thumbs up before I had my consult with him and told me what a wonderful surgeon he was and how impressed he was with his work and surgery he had done on some of his other clients. That and Dr. Fischer gave me peace of mind that I have gotten the right surgeon.
