Dr Gagne and his staff are a truly caring team of professionals. It is quite evident that Dr Gagne is on of the preeminent specialists in this field. I had a Roux-en- Y bypass performed approximately 10 years ago at a local hospital and began to have complications. Upon recommendations from friends and family, I met with Dr Gagne, he immediately scheduled me for region surgery, and two weeks post-op, my complications seem to have essentially gone. He is a caring man whose goal is to make you healthy. He is a credit to the medical profession.

The best surgeon in the world. and a wonderful person. This is a man dedicated to helping people become healthy again and regaining their life. It will be12 years in May . I did what I was told to do , it is a tool , and am still at my post op weight. The best decision I ever made . Great staff too.

I had Gastric Bypass 11.1.10 and it was the best decision of my life. I researched and found Dr. Gagne and he had me from hello. Him and his staff are wonderful and I learned so much in my 6 month prep. I took everything he told me and his staff taught me and used it, and still look over my notes. I went from 289lbs to 125lbs, and I even had a baby last year....and still keeping it off! I wake up thanking him every day....! I would of never let anyone else do my surgery! :)

I have chosen Dr. Gagne and West Penn Hospital to handle my RNY after a referral from a very reliable source in the medical field. He is up front, honest, and possesses a wealth of knowledge in regards to bariatrics. I am so confident that I have made the best decision ever and entrust my future to him, meaning I have nothing but respect and full confidence in him as well. His office staff has been excellent and Marie has really helped me to have a better understanding of excellent meal choices when abstaining from carbs. Bread is BAD!! and the doc will tell you this...over and over. :)
I am very excited to move forward with my surgery in May and know that I have made the best choice, hands down.

Dr. Gagne and his staff are very professional. Dr. Gagne is a very confident and experienced RNY surgeon who made me feel very at ease with the process. He is very serious about food logs and follow up. Dr Gagne is very direct and has the surgical competence to back up his confidence. If you are looking for a surgeon to hold your hand and be warm and fuzzy, keep looking, if you are looking for excellence in care stop here! The nutritionists are well versed in current standards and willing to help at any point through the process. The insurance staff know exactly what it takes to have everything in line for quick approval, my surgery was approved same day as submission. All in all a great experience.

In all honesty, Dr. Gagne saved my life. I went from being a 348lb depressed 27 year old, to now being 170 lbs happy as can be. I've heard alot of horror stories with alot of other surgeons. My family doctor Dr Rozen, referred me to Dr Gagne. After reading a few testimonials, I knew he was going to perform my surgery. Going in we all expected maybe a 100 lb weight loss. But here I am today almost 2 years post op maintaining a 178 lb weightloss!. from the bottom of my heart, Thank you Dr Gagne.
