I felt very comfortable with my surgeon. I attended a seminar and liked him from the beginning. I made my appointment for the next week and thn had my surgery date 2 months later. There were many tests that were requiredd and I was approved for my surgery. His office staff and the nurse educator have been terrific. I can call at anytime to get help. There are support group meetins every week and I attend 3 out of 4. One is too far to go.

I started out at 331 and after 3 months I am at 271.5. Within a month of my surgery I went from 100 units of insulin down to 50 units and at two months I went down to 35 units. I also have stopped taking an oral medicztion altogether. I am hoping to be off insulin in the future.

I also do not take hydrochlorothyazide any longer. Thks has been a good experience for me and I would do it again.

I came for a one month check and a three month check. I will come back in three more months. I am able at three months to go back to exercising. I have been walking in a pool for the last two months.

I woud reccomend my surgeon to anyone. I am very happy with my choice. He put me at ease from the very beginning. I feel like I can ask any question and not feel funny about it.

I'm 1 year post op and down 145 lbs!!. I feel good. I'm off all of my pre surgery medications (2). Dr. Frantzides was like a second father to me during my surgery. I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Frantzides staff has been like a family to me. Dr. Frantzides offer support groups 4 times a month at 4 different locations. Future patients should know that they are in great hands he is very qualfied in his field. Dr. Frantzides addressed all of the risks of surgery to me. I would do the surgery all over again I have no regrets. Dr. Frantzides is very professional both with his bedside manner and his surgery.

I was very impressed with Dr.C.Frantzides and his knowledge regarding the surgery.Impression really did not change due the research I had done,But the more I got to know him the more comforable I became.The staff are all great. I have been going to the support group meetings before my surgery that Karen Thomas has been running. This was my deciding factor.Dr.Frantzides and Karen were always emphasizing the aftercare and how important it is to follow then for the best recovering and results. Both again address all the rick of surgey.I was 376lb. pre-op Post-op was better then expected I had no NG tube 6 small sterile on my belly, some discomfot ,but was up and moving so after the surgery. Both sugical comptenece,and bedside manner were great.I also what to make a note of the nusing staff on the floor I was on. The nurses on 4north searl were the best I have ever had.

In 1997 I had vertical band gp. This did not work for me. In June of 2005 I saw Dr. Frantzides to have the band removed and have laproscopic RNY done. He did the surgery, finding that my liver was also caught in the band. This surgery was far less painful than the open procedure I had in '97, the recovery time was also much shorter. I am losing weight much faster and my energy level has soared. Dr. Frantzides is an excellent surgeon, and I recommend him to anyone - and am currently even trying to get my brother to come in to talk to him and have this done.
Karen Thomas is a member of the dr.'s staff - has been a huge help to me regarding the choices of food, protein etc. She herself has had the procedure done, and is very quick to return calls!

I met Dr. Frantzides July 15,2005. I was approximately 357 lbs. I had surgety on August 15, 2005. I lost 23 lbs. within 11 days after my surgery. I was in tears. During recovery I was wondering if I had made the right decision. I am convinced that I made the best decision for me. I am excited about my future weight loss goals. Dr. Frantzides was great. He truly made me feel comfortable. I am glad that I made the decision to have laprascopic gastric bypass surgery.

It's been exactly one year since my surgery, and I'm extremely pleased with both my choice of surgeon and the choice to have the surgery.
I haven't had a single complication resulting from the surgery (aside from a bandage-induced rash) and was back to being fully mobile in a little over a week. Over 200 lbs later, I might say this was the best decision of my life if I was sure my fiancee wasn't going to read this. When I had questions after surgery, getting answers was always easy. Karen Thomas, a registered nurse and former gastric bypass patient, is very easy to get ahold of by email or phone amd can help you with most any questions you have related to your surgery.

My first impression of Dr. Frantzides and his staff was that he was brillant and caring and they were warm and compassionate. I knew from reading all his reviews (here online) that everyone that had used him were extremely satisfied (to say the least) However, meeting him really made all of the fighting I did with my insurance company worth while. I had no doubts or fears when leaving his office that he was the man to do my revision.
My impression over time, only got better and more founded. Dr. Frantzides and his Fellow know so much more then any other surgeon I've met with or spoken too. They really care about you and really want to avoid "cutting you open" at all costs. He really does do "everything in his power" to make your surgery a success.
Cynthia, Karen, and Jerri. I can only say that they are angels. Especially Cynthia. She will answer all your questions and fight like a championship boxer to get your insurance matters settled and handled for you in time for your surgery. She has such a gift for making you feel like everything will be okay. (and she's 100% right on all accounts!)
I am LESS THEN ONE WEEK POST OP (4 days) and can't even begin to tell you how amazing I feel. (my surgery was 8-17) I am not kidding when I say that I was up and walking within minutes of being taken to my private room after recovery. (I promise...ask the staff) I don't regret my decision one bit. It really has been life altering.
I am planning in one year to have the doctor do my tummy tuck and I know with out any doubts or hesitations, that he will make it painless and worry free.
Dr Frantzides tells you what to expect of both the surgery and also the after care. He looks you straight in the eyes and tells you frankly what he expects and honestly that he knows you can do it. He really means it. He KNOWS you can!
There are no surprises or hidden motives with Dr. Frantzides. He takes his time both in clinic and in the OR and treats each patient like they are his family.
I am so blessed and thankful for Dr Frantzides,(for his love and compassion, and EXCELLENCE in the SURGICAL FIELD, his Fellow (Dr. L who is just great in general), Cynthia (for all her magic with my insurance company), Karen (for always smiling and routing me on! You are the best) and for Jerri (with the tummy to DIE for and the compassionate heart that makes you feel at ease) You all are above and beyond outstanding in any rating scale and there really isn't enough words to describe how wonderful you as an "office FAMILY" are.
I would tell ANYONE if they were considering having WLS, a REVISION, TUMMY TUCK or any other surgery that Dr. Frantzides is the only person to go to. ONE phone call to his office and you will know for sure. Look at his reviews on here...Look at the people he's helped. Look at the love and kindness he shows to each patient on top of a GODLY COMPETENCE in his field. All of these factors add up to the fact that he is the BEST MAN FOR YOUR JOB....ANY JOB!

I think Dr. Frantzides is very friendly, comfortable, easy to talk to, and a good sense of humor. My impression only got better over time I only felt more confident. His office staff is wonderful, friendly, helpful, and organized. Future patients should feel very confident in his abilities, he goes above and beyond the call. Dr. Frantzides explained everything fully, I was avare of the risk prior to seeing Dr. Frantzides. My surgery was very complicated, due to prior surgery's, I had 2 prior prior abdominal surgery and Dr. Frantzides took his time and did my surgery laproscopicaly. I was so happy that I did not have the open procedure. I would rate Dr. Frantzides on a scale of 1-10 a 20!! I would recomend him to anyone.

I'm 6 months post off surgery and I've lost almost 100lbs.I fell great and don't look to shaby either ha ha ha.I would like to thank Doctor Frantzides for all his magic.I never thought I would look or fell so good.He's helped by giving me a new lease on life.I can play with my daughter and not worrie about getting tired 5 min later.One of the best things I've heard right after surgery was my daughter saying "Mom I can put my arms aruond you " It was great!!!! Doctor Frantzides and his staff are GREAT.I would recomend this to any one if you can go for it.You won't regreat it.
