11/22/04 After meeting Dr. Frantzides for my initial consultation, I, felt relieved to know he would take good care of me. I felt at ease about my surgery knowing that Dr.Frantzides is well known and has had successful surgeries!. The staff at Dr. Frantzides office were very thorough at my consultation, and aswered all of my questions. Ive heard from former patients of his, that aftercare is exceptional. I was addressed the risks of this surgery and Dr. Frantzides gave me great outlook on my future. Im looking forward to my surgery and know that Im in good hands!

2/11/05 Sorry it has taken so long to write, just couldnt figure out how to use this system..heehe...well update I had surgery on the 2/2 and after a week of suffering..heehee...Im feeling great!..Im so thankful that I picked Dr. Frantzides to be my doc because, I knew I would be in the best care!..I also wanna thank geri and karen for being so informative..I started at a weight of 263 and after a week im down to 246!..I will be updating my profile soon.

3/17/06 Sorry I havent taken the time to write my achievements and downfalls since my surgery. However where Im at in my life since surgery, Im definently happy with the outcome. Of course, I could say I wish for more weightloss than the 70lbs ive take off but, I have to come down to reality and think where I was a yr ago...depressed, insecure of my weight...I went from 22/24 to 12/14 and Im very pleased. I have alittle ways to go but im in no hurry. Its a good feeling when ppl dont recongnize you and call u skinny..heehee..well thanks to Dr. Frantzides and his staff for there support as well. I will be posting before and after pics soon. xoxo

The first time I met Dr. F I was very pleased. He was so kind and made me feel very comfterable. Over time I began to just appreciate him and what he was going to do for me and my new life. His staff is so awesome. They took care of just about everything for me. Any questions you have they can answer. They are always there for you even if you just need to talk.
The after care is so important and they stress that more then enough. Basically if you're not ready for this strict new life astyle this isn't for you. Everything was addressed at our meeting from what the outcome to the risks that you, yourself are put in.
Out of a 10 point scale I rate Dr.F and his staff a 15. That's how awesome they truely are.

I was very nervous when I first decided to meet with Dr. Frantzides. I had been struggling my whole life with weight and the feelings of beening weak because I could not control my weight. Even though, I wasn't as heavy as some I was repulsed by the way I looked and felt. I often wished to die because I couldn't get past these feelings. The day I met Dr. Frantzides my life had start to change. Dr. Frantzides has a glowing personality which made me feel comfortable to talk to him about having surgery. Dr. Frantzides and his staff are truely the nicest people I've met in a long time. I have just had my surgery 4 days ago. I am already looking forward to a happier life.

I found my sugery experience to be executed very well and the staff to be very professional. Dr. Frantzides is a highly skilled surgeon who has great bedside manner. He is very thorough in his assessment and treats everyone with great dignity. I could not have been more happy with the surgeon I had chosen. From the moment I met Dr. Frantzides I had great confidence in him. I would highly recommend both he and his staff to anyone considering surgery. The aftercare program is well structured and offers continuing support for patients and their significant others to adapt to the life changing decision to have gastric bypass surgery. Dr. Frantzides is truly wonderful.

Dr.Frantzides is so open honest and up front. He talked to me about the decision I was making with having a revision.He told me the pros and the cons.He told me to talk it over with my family.He even contacted me at home to see how I was doing.After I received that phone call I knew my decison was.Yes to proceed.Because I felt in my heart I was in good hands.I did proceed with my decison.And went to see Dr.Frantzides again.And thats when everything came test after test after test.I had never seen anything like this before with all the testing.And like I mentioned in the beginning.This was a revison I was having.So I had this surgery before.With Baratirc treatment center in Belvidere.They never asked me to take any kind of test.But I was so happy that my surgeon cared so much he wanted to know what is going on in the inside of me before he would operate.Now who wouldn't appreciate this.I told my husband honey.I have no worries at all.I wasn't afraid at all.And I must add Dr.Franzides staff Dr.Laguna,Cynthia,Lesley and Jerry are so awesome.I love them.When you want first class go see Dr.Franzides.Thank you guys so much Love,Kameela Poe

My first impression was that he was very profesional. My impression has soared I knew from the first meeting that he was great. The office staff has been very helpful and friendly. I like everything about Dr. Frantzides. Patients should know that Dr. Frantzides is the best in the field. He has also taken care of other family members. After care is very important to Dr. Frantzides and wants patients to keep all appointments and attend support groups. I was very aware of all of the risks and benifits to the surgey prior to surgery. On a scale from 1-10 he is an 11! His bedside manner and surgery skills are better than great.

Dr. Frantzides is the best. I am now 1 year out and have lost 130lbs and I feel great. I can run, I can shop and now people are telling me to slow down. His staff is always available and have positive energy. Recovery was fast and with only minimal pain. I would give Dr. Frantzides tha highest rating that could be given. Can you say "King Constantine"?

I chose Dr. Frantzides after researching all available options. Even though he's out of network for UHC, he still has the highest approval rating and, after our first meeting, I can see why. He's personable, confident (without being obnoxious!), and very knowledgeable. He clearly articulated the risks, the severity of the choice, the complications that can arise and the lifestyle changes it entails.

The office staff are friendly, knowledgable and can speak from experience. Within a week I was able to use their lists to set up all my pre-work Dr. appointments and fill my pre-op prescription. They eased my fears and made it clear that they were available if I had any questions.

Update: Had surgery 3/30 and Dr. Frantzides & staff were wonderful! The hospital had private rooms (much appreciated) and Dr. F stopped by every day as did Karen to see how I was doing. I had the best possible surgeon & am now at home recovering.

I met Dr Frantzides on September 9, 2005. I had been doing research on WLS for years, and was sure I would find the right person for me. Well, after my appointment, I am sure I found him! He is extremely confident, told me I am a good candidate, he has many surgeries under his belt, and everyone in his office has been wonderful so far. Karen Thomas, his nurse runs a support group, and I have attended one session, and look forward to the day that I can be one of the smaller ones, and not need the armless chair!

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR FRANTZIDES IS HE IS A VERY WARM A LOVING PERSON, AND THAT WAS JUST MY FIRST VISIT. THE STAFF IS WONDERFUL, THEY WERE VERY KIND AND VERY UNDERSTANDING. DR FRANTZIDES IS ALL ABOUT HIM AND HIS PATIENTS HAVING A RELATIONSHIP OF TRUST AND UNDERSTANDING.
