Surgery went great. Dr. Kennedy and her staff was great. Back home now. Just woke up from a nap. Getting ready to walk around in the yard. I would highly reccommend her as your surgeon
She was very open, honst and down to earth. She was compassionate, helpful and very supportive. I was very comfortable with Dr. Kennedy immediately. Her staff is good but not as open, willing to talk to me as she was. They were quick on the phone and not ready to give information. She made me realize that aftercare is very important and really a must to the help with the success of this tool. Yes the hospital offers a monthly aftercare support group. She was open and honest about the risk of surgery. I thought she was excellent, I look forward to her doing my surgery after it is hopefully approved soon.
Dr. Kennedy was excellent and I highly recommend her. Her staff is also excellent. They were all very attentive and caring and I felt they were personally interested in my progress. I believe both her bedside manner and her surgical competence are great. I had absolutely no problems after my surgery but if I had any questions at all, her staff was always available to answer any question no matter how small.
Colleen Kennedy is so sweet and funny. My first impression of her was WOW this lady is kind of weird but she just want to make this journey for us very comfortable. I was very comfortable in my decision to allow her to perform my surgery. She is fairly new to Oschner Hospital but she knows her stuff. I am very lucky to have had her.
Before I even met with Dr. Kennedy, I was required to attend a WLS Seminar, led by her staff, including Dr. Kennedy and her partner, Dr. Richardson, the nutritionist and patient care reps. All were very informative, detailing everything I need to know about WLS, both pre-op and post-op.
I was very impressed with Dr. Kennedy from the very start on our first visit. She took her time and explained everything. She was very compassionate and was very cautious about agreeing to perform the surgery on me, since I will be a high risk patient. She was concerned enough to wait and present my case at a convention of WLSurgeons before agreeing to go forward with the process. I rate Dr. Kennedy A++ - I'd recommend her to anyone.
I love my doctor. She is so nice, smart, and she made me feel comfortable about the surgery. Her staff are just typical nurses, some are nicer than others. Dr. Kennedy is new to Ochsner, but she has been a surgery for a while. She is very friendly and knowledgeable about several weight loss surgeries. All my doctor talked about was aftercare, and how I have to make sure I do my part to lose the weight. I would rate her overall as a 9 1/2 on a ten point scale. A surgeon competence and bedside manner is very important to me.
