I was very pleased with Dr. Gupta. When a had a problem post-op, my second night home, she personally called me. She is attentive and listens.

Dr. Christine Gupta is my hero and with the skills God has granted her has given me back my life. Dr. Gupta and all the staff at the St. Vincent Bariatric Center of Ecellence in Carmel, Indiana were all top notch. The mandatory training and guidance they give you before the surgery is very good and informative and if you have any questions at all before the surgery it is your own fault as they will bend over backwards to cater to your ever need or question you may have. From the beginning Dr. Gupta made me feel like a person and not just another number and she takes the time to talk with you and address every question you may have before hand. On a scale of 1 to 10 I will give her a 9 as they say nobodies perfect. I know several of my co-workers who have had her do their surgery and none have had any complaints and offer the same praise. I'm 100% satisfied with my patient care thus far.rnW. Phelps

Very impressed with her knowledge of the proceedure and the presentation. She thourghly explained everything, I just didn't absorbe it all. I feel she is very caring and I am amazed that she remembers me every time I go for a visit/recheck even though it's been three years. The office girls are great and get things done with great speed and are very supportive. Dr. G is very persistant to solve any problems I have. I would have anyone thinking about this surgery to se Dr. Gupta. I think she is the best!!!!!!

Kind of stand offish. Actually just very precise and professional. Office staff not overly friendly. Didn't talk alot or have a whole lot of bedside manner. She is a very good surgeon just not overly friendly. Alot. Yes very structured. Explained every detail. Overall rate 8. Both are great.

She is very straight forward and compasionate. I was undecided about the lap band vs Rue NY. She asked me several questions and helped me make an informed decision. rnrnAfter surgery I was having problems finding a pain medicine I could take/swallow and not make me sick, woozy, or vomit. She let me make the decision about going home or staying.rnrnShe is one of the best surgeons in Indiana.

When I first met my surgeon, it was during the orientation meeting and then I had a consulation with her afterwards. I had been referred to the program by my primary care physician. I was impressed with you professionalism. I like that she was very matter of fact and to the point. She explained my options and what she felt would be the most effective. She also told me if she thought I should pursue a surgical option. Her office staff has been great. Very helpful and great follow-up. I will met with her again at surgery and will update this information after my procedure. She has a structured aftercare program that includes working closely with the nutritionists and regular evaluations/visits. She was very clear on the risks of the surgery and volunteered information on her own statistics with surgery. Overall she has been great to work with and so has her staff. I am very pleased.

For 17 1/2 years now I have been with the same PCP and one of the greatest reasons is because he is NO Dr. House (although I will occasionally tease him and call him Dr. House... to which he always responds humorously). When I met Dr. Gupta the other day I got that same feeling with her as I have with my long time PCP. It was instantaneous trust. I have seen many \"specialist\" over the years and only 1 other have I ever felt truly comfortable with... until now. I truly liked the fact that Dr. Gupta made a point to mention that she will be there even after the surgery, for many years to come for any complications related to this surgery. That she will help you, follow your care and be there for your check ups. In addition her experience as a surgeon is extensive and the sheer fact that she can perform other surgeries should they become necessary is important to me because... well... because I like consistency in my health care providers (note again that I have been with my PCP for 17 1/2 years). As far as addressing everything, she did this very well and whatever my husband and I didn't understand she took the time with us in consult to thoroughly make sure we did understand. This is important. I could write more, but I think you have the gist, as well I think my username says it well. :O)

I could not have asked for a better surgeon. Dr. Gupta was wonderful. she answered all of my questions. If it wasn't for her there is no way i would be where I am today. She is the 3rd best thing in my life..next to God and my husband.
