Christian Mann Bariatric Surgeon M.D.
I think this man is wonderful. HE answered all my questions and was very thourgh with his answers. After having to suffer through so many Military doctors and doctors in general telling me I am TOO FAT... and to \"just lose the weight\". I think this person can really help me to achive that... HE is a true blessing.. rnrnI will write more later once the surgery is compete..
My first impression of Dr CHIRS Mann is a very caring doctor who paids very close attention to his pt. Who is very nice. I RAte him to be a 10. He is a wonderful doctor. He has a great bedside manner. He finished my sentence when heask me a question, I thought that was great. to that means he paid close attention to me and I of him.
Well after all the testing was complete i got to meet him... He tells ya how it is and what could take place and how he plans on doing your surg. His staff is great they know what they are doing and they do everything to please you. THey treat you like a person not just a person who is paying their paycheck. They have all the answers and if they dont have an answer they will work to get it. His new office # is: 1-252-758-2224rnrnMY PLASTIC SURGEON:rnrnI had my LBL, Breast lift and the inner thigh lift done with Long Island Plastic Surgical Group in Long Island NY on Oct 28th 2005, the Inner Thigh Lift was done April of 2006. Dr Brewer was my Surgeon and i feel that he did an AWSOME JOB. If you go to there web page (LIPSG.COM) you will also see that they have been on the Discovery Channel for there work.
Dr. Mann was very straight forward as far as explaining the possible risks, complications, and of course the benefits; nothing was sugar coated, which is great. His office staff have been very helpful and have answered any and all questions that I have had.
The only thing that I didn't care for is the fact that I didn't actually meet Dr. Mann until after all the pre-op testing, but I guess that's not a huge deal.
Kind of quiet, very knowledgable, very calm. Ursula is great; a few other office staffers seem a bit spacey and don't communicate well with each other. The thing I liked the leastis that you don't actually meet Dr. Mann until you have completed all your preop tests and consults--fortunately, I liked him, because I would have hated to have all that done and dislike the surgeon who I was supposed to have do the surgery!
He emphasizes aftercare a great deal, and STRONGLY encourages excercise afterwards, in addition to the structured diet he has you follow. Ursula, his assistant, and Dr. Mann bothe addressed the risks of the surgery at each preop visit. Overall, I was very happy with Dr. Mann, as my surgery went well with no complications, and I was discharged two days later. My pain was well managed, both in the hospital and at home.
I think Dr. Mann has a good balance of surgical competence and bedside manner. He was a great choice!
I felt that he was very nice and informative. The office staff are nice and answer questions you have without acting as though you're bothering them. The office has a very structured aftercare and very detailed staged diet plan. the risks of the surgery are outlined and they don't hide the fact that death is a very real risk.
