Christian Mann Bariatric Surgeon M.D.
So far, he seems okay. He did a Lap Band for my sister-in-law and she's doing good. I have to have ahernia repair along with the RNY and he puts me at ease when we talk. His office staff is wonderful. I'll leave the rest for later, when I have dealt with him more.
I will say that he is the reason I quit smoking. I smoked for 26 years and he will not operate if you smoke.

Dr. Mann is wonderful. I have seen him twice since my surgery and I would recommend him easily. Everything is going good. I have advanced to Stage 3 and I have 78 lbs. to reach my goal. I would say his surgical competence and bedside manner are great. He does take a little bit to loosen up with you but then he's great.
The first time I saw Dr. Mann was after he did the endoscopy. I was a bit groggy from the anesthesia but he came across as very caring. I did not see him again until last week. He was very patient with all my questions and answered them in language that I could understand. I have not seen him at his office in Greenville. Dr. Mann and the other doctors in Greenville do a sort of satellite program in Rocky Mount, NC through Nash Hospital. I would prefer to have my surgery there but because of my insurance, I will have to have it at Pitt Memorial in Greenville, thus I have not had much interaction with his staff in Greenville. The staff in Rocky Mount are terrific. Overall I am very pleased with him.

Dr Mann is very nice and knows his stuff. He reviewed all the possibilities and outcomes before surgery. He smiles and is friendly. He does not joke around alot. He handled my complications and my routine surgery which turned out to be not so routine once we got in there with ease. We are still working on post op infection but he has not done anything to change my opinion of him. I would definately recommend him.
My first impression was great, I thought that he was very proffesional and informative. My impression hasn't changed over time. The office staff was awsome! He addressed the surgery from every aspect and I left feeling totally comfortable and informed. My all around experience was great! I thought that the after care(post 3 months) wasn't quite worth the drive all the way to Greenville from Jacksonville.rn
My first impression of Dr. Mann was wow, he may look serious but he is really nice!
Over time, my opinion or feelings never changed. He is absolutely awesome.
Dr. Mann's office staff is great. They never get mad or aggrevated just because I call over something silly. They are very compassionate and understanding.
What did I like least about Dr. Mann? Nothing. He was great!
Future patients should know that he is very nice but he gets straight to the point. He's really big on exercise and to me all in all, he is a excellent surgeon.
Dr. Mann's aftercare is phenomenal. He came in everyday to check on me and to see if I had any problems or questions. He would always say how proud he is of me.
Dr. Mann told me straight out what the risks of surgery was but he also told me the benefits too so that eased my mind a whole lot.
I would rate Dr. Mann a 20 out of 10. Yes he is that good!!
I truly believe that both his surgical competence as well is his bedside manner is awesome. Better then awesome. All I have to say is if I had to do it all over again, I would not chose any other doctor. He's the best!!
