Bruce Brient Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

Very knowledgeable/Very upbeat/ Polite / FriendlyrnI have now been a patient of Dr. Brient's for over a year now - and I am still so happy that he is my surgeon. He is great in all respects. Whenever I have needed him, he has been there for me. I have had a few complications and he has taken care of everything for me. I would rate him 100% all of the time in everything. He will explain everything to you so that you will understand what is going to happen or what is going on. There has never been a time when I could not reach him within an hour or so when I needed him. I honestly can not think of anything negative to say about this man - surgeon. How many surgeons will give you their cell phone number? I personally have not had any negative dealings with Dr. Brient. The staff at the center have always been available to me. I recommend this center to anyone that is contemplating WLS.

When I first met my Surgeon I was put totally at ease from the start. He is very competent and attentive to the needs of his patients and staff. I was well informed and completely ready for the procedure when my time came. Dr. Brient is a wonderful Surgeon and I would whole heartedly recommend him to any one who is searching for a surgeon who is willing to go the extra mile for the patient.

He is definitely very thourough and genuinely cares about his patients. He really took the time to explain everything during his initial consultation. He was very concerned about my Cancer and consulted with all my doctors before he would even agree to operate. rnI have a date and am very excited. I am on my liver shrinking diet and surgery is two weeks from today on Jan. 25, 2008.

My husband joined me at my first appointment, and we both really liked Dr. Brient. He put us both at ease, and answered all my questions. He mentioned he prefers to perform lap-band surgery but completely agreed with my reasons for wanting the bypass and believed that it was the way to go for me. He absolutely addresses the death risks associated with the surgery.
