Dr. Rowitz is an outstanding physician, surgeon, and all-around nice guy to boot.
I first met Dr Rowitz when my wife was contemplating surgery. He offered informational seminars and support groups that were available to anyone considering weight loss surgery and their friends and family. During the Support Group meetings, he would bring in other resources related to ongoing post-operative care (dieticians, trainers, etc) as well have "Testimonials" where patients could discuss their experience.
If he didn't know then answer, either he or his PA MaryLee would find out the answer, and get back to the person as quick as possible. Dr Rowitz worked with patients to make sure they had all the information available
about the surgery, its affects, and live after surgery, so they could make an informed choice. And if the patient decided that the time was not right, he accepted that decision, and indicated that he would be there when the time was right.

Dr Rowitz gives off an aura that the situation is always under control, regardless of what may be going on around him. If he isn't the right resource, he will find the right resource. IF he doesn't know the answer, he will find out or find someone who can give you the correct answer, as well as be able to answer any follow up questions.

I was upset to learn that Dr Rowitz was leaving the practice at AnMed, but I was glad to hear that he was moving into a position where people could continue to benefit from his skills; patients from his surgical skills and other doctors and surgeons from his knowledge and experience.

I've really enjoyed working with Dr. Rowitz. He did my gallbladder surgery 12 years ago and recently did my RNY. He's always been very friendly and answered any and all questions that I might have had. He even worked personally with my other 2 doctors with some other issues I was having. I was very impressed by this! My overall experience has been great. Had some issues with some office staff, but what can you do? Sometimes you just gotta sit back and realize you are not their only patient. So I just took it in strides. That never made me think of not using him though. He's the best in this area!

Long story short I wish i had more time to learn more bout Rowitz. I was dealt the card with his name on in an emergency room problem. I had been already been checled by the ER Doctor and told what was found yet Rowtz was passing it off like it was nothing.. I was in pain and the ct scan showed something. He bout left me hanging but due to me not keeeping my mouth shut and pushing to letting him know and others know I know my body and something was wrong. He made me feel i was wasting his time. I was fine .. and my pain was like all in my head bout to send me on my way but went a head to watch over night and run a few test but really acted and made me feel stupid and like i was wasting his time and i needed to go home and deal with it. but he decided after i called into health advocate and made a stink to watch me over night my pain didn't change my feeling didn't change and / felt horrible and in my pain and he wanted to just give me just Tramadol.. HELLO when a patient telling you something not right and another Dr (the ER) told you what was found and I was in a great deal of pain You dont treat them like they stupid as hell and give you fluids and heres some Tramadol and TO TOP YOU LISTED YOU HAVE AN ALLERGY TO IT !!!! I listed my alleries and others and also we are told not to take NSAIDS but to top even if its fine for a couple days for mnormal gastric by pass pacient you dont give it to them when they have bleeding ulcers and the same hospital they use and work out of your getting 2 different words .. I felt confused. Rowitz made me feeel like i was to just deal with it. I hadn't ate in a week.. been in pain trying to just recover .. Doctors like this is y we feel intemedatedd to come in an be seen like we need to and end up with more problems. He didn't want to help me mange pain and I ended up having him do a surgery and he found i needed it and the pain was barely managed and he had me leaving the hospital now with strips and bleeding and puss and hurting and he FOR pain I have a few damn Tylenol 3 what the hell is that for a patient who been in pain and is recovering from his surgery. I SAY NEVER USE HIM !!! I am glad he never did ANY of my other surgeries and never did my very glad never did my gastric bypass. Sorry he was all i had to deal with i felt cause of the way the cards was dealt me. I only hope i heal ok and the pain stops .. I am sitting at home ony hrs after he released me bleeding and puss coming out and hurting and nothing for any of it nad been in tears since and to scared to call ause it will get me no where. I feel best to go straight this time to the highest i can call in hospital help for patient .. ANYONE ELSE KNOW WHAT TO DO ????

I truly liked Dr. Rowitz from the first time we met. I had a lot of questions and he took my list and we discussed every point. He is professional and yet friendly. At the hospital he was careful to give me enough time to be comfortable about going home. I feel lucky to have found such a skilled and friendly surgeon right in my hometown.

I attended two siminars with Dr. Rowitz. I have also been to several others by differant doctors. Dr. Rowitz seemed to be more concerned about me then the money. He seemed down to earth and to the point. I thought his bed side mannor was great and his overall understanding was fantastic.Since surgery he has been the best doctor that I could have asked for. He has been their when I needed him after hours as well as in the office. He has been a careing doc who will shoot it straight. He has atteneded every support group meeting and has been very open and allowed us to feel as if its not just a doctor patient relationship but a friendship.

Aside from his knowledge and skill Dr. Rowitz is hands down the most amazing doctor I've ever met. A few months after my surgery he did a by pass and a hernia repair on my husband. We knew there would be complications from the previous scarring and his general health. He was amazing through it all, down to stopping by my job (a store) to check on me to make sure i was eating and getting enough sleep. rnthe day after my surgery my dad had a valve transplant. Since we couldn't see each other Dr. Rowitz included him in his rounds and gave him a personal update on how i was doing every day. He knew it would mean more coming from him.rnrnHis training and prep for patients is wonderful and his staff is amazing. He and his nurse case manager Nedbra Brown are 2 amazing individuals!!

Dr. Rowitz and his office staff are very sweet and caring. Everyone was eager to answer all of my questions(and I had plenty of questions), and they made sure that I fully understood everything.

When I first met Dr. Blair Rowitz, I noticed immediately that he was warm and genuine. As time passed and my surgery was complete his attitude stayed the same-warm and genuine! The entire staff is AWESOME and really treat me as if I were family…maybe better! If someone reading this is interested in a doctor, hospital, and staff that totally surpasses many other…look no further that Dr. Rowitz at Anmed Health! After minor setbacks on part, I was assured that weightloss is not easy and the same way I packed on the pound with time, it would take time to get the pounds off. With these motivational talks and lift-me-ups, I am back on track to my goal. Dr. Rowitz goes into great details regarding the risks of surgery, what to expect before and your aftercare. I am thankful that I found Dr. Rowtiz!
