Aviv Ben-Meir Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS

I was impressed with Dr.Ben-Meir from the moment that I heard him speak at the informational meeting. When meeting him in person he is one of those rare professionals that makes you feel that you are 100% his focus. He took his time answering my questions and those of my husbands even though I was the last patient that he was seeing on a Friday afternoon. He has a fantastic office staff that is warm and friendly and I could not have asked for better care before and after my surgery.

I LOVE LOVE Dr Ben-Meir!!! He is a fantastic very thourough and meticulous surgeon. He treated me and my husband with the utmost respect and like we were real people not just another patient, He answered all our questions and made sure we understood all post-op information. He is a REAL person not someone on the other side of a big desk with a "God" complex. He came to see me before surgery, after surgery, and everyday I was in the hospital. I would recommend him to EVERYONE!!!!

He is great, very knowledgeable, friendly. The staff at St.V's is awesome!! They really care about their patients!! They are also very knowledgeable, and always available by phone & email to answer any questions, assist patients in whatever way possible. They go the "extra mile" for you.

I LOVED my surgeon. He was very patient with all my questions and was there for me whenever I needed him. He even came to the hospital to see me on his day off. He was also going to be on vacation at the very time that I was going to go from liquids to puree and he had me wait to transition until he was back in town. He just didn't want anything to go wrong and him not be there to take care of the problem. He is the most experienced at St. Vincient hospital with the vertical sleeve and I was blessed to have him.

My daughter also decided after meeting him, and going through my surgery with me, that she wanted to be a surgeon. He is going to have her come to work with him after she's in high school. Of course who knows how many times she'll changer her mind by then, but he's still a great guy. He's also there when you need him on the phone and it's actually him you see at your appointment times. That's a nice change of pace.

He was absolutely wonderful. He was vering caring

The staff at SVC are awesome! Very caring individuals. As for Dr. Ben-Meir all I can say is WOW. My hubby just had his surgery on 7/19 and I have never met a more competent, cautious surgeon. I bet nothing (or very little) gets by him!

My only negative is that he has not done a whole lot of VSG and much of the materials they give to prepare you for surgery are for RNY- close but the modifications, such as an extra day in the hospital, are not on there.

Dr. Ben-Meir is very professional. He answers questions and offers information clearly. The staff is super friendly and helpful as well. My patient advocate, Diane Harris is AWESOME! Nurse Connie is AWESOME! My husband just had the surgery and everyone was very nice and cared for my husband well. The hospital room was awesome! I looked like something right off of HGTV. Granite counters, hardwood floors, armoirs, sconces, mirror over the bed. It was super nice.

I was really upset about having to leave my husband (no one is allowed to stay the night in the room) the staff was quick to console me and make sure I was ok.

My surgery went off without a hitch! Dr. Ben-Meir took great care with me as he did with my husband. The nurse staff took great care of me and I actually didn't want to go home I was being pampered so much lol. I would recommend this hospital and Dr. Ben-Meir to anyone!

He was very direct and to the point. Does not seem to have much of a sense of humor but good Dr. Staff is slow to return calls and this is not just me saying so. Overall everyting is proceeding ok.

I adored Dr. Ben Meir, while meeting him for the first time at my seminar. He is very professional and most of all knowledgeable. Aviv-Ben Meir has completed over 2500 gastric laproyscopic surgeries successful. If I had to repeat the surgery for any reason, I would definately have Dr. Ben-Meir as my surgeon. I do hope however, that doesnt happen. And that I too will join all of the others, for a very successful journey ahead. Dr Ben-Meir's bedside manners are extrodinary, he takes the time to listen to your questions and provides you with a very knowledgeable answer. The staff at St Vincent are as well informed as he is. Not one of them was unpleasant during my stay there. I was treated with the highest respect and all concerns were addressed immediately. I would definately give Dr. Ben Meir and his staff a most definate A++++++

I have met with Dr. Ben-Meir two time now. The first was on my initial appointment back in October of 2010 and again May 13. During both appointments he was very relaxed and answered all my questions. My surgery date is fast approaching, and Dr. Ben-Meir assured me he would answer all my questions and if anything comes up to call him and he will call me to answer any of my questions.
