I had my consult with Dr. Ben-Meir for LAP RNY at CCBS today, (7-22-02) I was very impressed with him, he seems very caring and thorough and confident.
My appointment was suppose to be at 1pm, I never got in to see him until 2:45pm. He appologized for the wait, but the office staff never explained the delay at all or said anything as to why I was waiting so long.He was very easy to talk to and open to answering any and all questions. The office staff at CCBS during phone calls and emails has always been pleasant and supportive.UPDATE..I had my surgery on 8-29-02 everything went smooth, no complications and I was discharged on 8-31-02.
Dr. Ben-Meir has wonderful bedside manner, very professional and thorough. In my surgery he got all done, did not like my new pouch and he made me a new one. He is very picky and I love that in a surgeon. I would strongly recommend him. He is a very skilled, caring and decent man.

I had a great first impression of Dr. Ben-Meir. He's very friendly and down-to-earth, and communication-wise, is VERY accessible.

I have only had my initial consultation with him, to date, as well as a few e-mail correspondences. He has responded to my e-mails in a quite timely fashion.

To my knowledge, he emphasizes after-care a great deal. I'll learn more about this as the time progresses. And I do believe he indeed has a structured after-care program.

I think that it is very important that a surgeon possess both surgical competence AND a good bedside manner. A good doctor treats the whole patient, not just the physical problem, as our psyches are an important component of our healing process.

I met Dr. Ben-Meir on July 8th at St. Vincents in Cleveland. Very nice man, very patient and thorough. The office staff could improve a bit on efficiency. Have several unanswered e-mails and phone calls.

Dr. Ben-Meir is really a great person, whohas excellent bedside manner and is very thourough. He sees all of his patients twice before surgery. I visited with him for an hour on our first consult and he was never short with any of his coments, after visitig with Dr. Brody at the Cleveland CLinic for a consultation, Dr. Ben-Meir blew me away with his kind personality - he is the reason why I chose St.V's , I think it is really important to be comfortable with your surgeon and not feel like your just another patient he has to get throuh the system.

I went for my consultation on June 4, 2002 at St. Vincent's. My initial impression of the doctor was a positive one. Dr. Ben-Meir is personable, caring, attentive, confident and knowledgeable.

The office staff was courteous and answered my questions that I thought of after my consult with Dr Ben-Mier.

I am anxious to move forward with the next step for laproscopic surgery as soon as my insurance is approved.

August 2001. I was terified when I went for my intial visit to Dr Ben-Meir but I was treated so well and I thought Dr Ben-Meir was thorough and educational. The office staff was kind, polite and helpful.

August 2001- March 2002. I struggled with the staff at Dr Ben -Meir's office. My paper work got lost twice. I would not get called back. Time was flying by and no progress was made. Finally in March Dr Ben-Meir got a new secretary and things came together. My paper work was submitted and I got approved within a week.

Surgery date 4/24/02.

I really only have good things to say about the care Dr Ben-Meir gave me in the hospital. He was honest about the problems and treated me appropriatly. His bed side manners were good. I was pleased with his care and his talent at making my laporoscopic surgery successful under difficult circumstanses.
