My first impression of Dr Ahmad was a feeling of trust. There was something about him at the seminar that made me open up to him with no concerns. rnHis office staff is excellent, they are caring, supportive and very positive. rnI can not think of a thing that I don't like about Dr. Ahmad.rnHe know's what he is talking about follow his suggestions and you will succeed!rnHe is a +10 in my book I couldn't have done as well as I did if it wasn't for his guidence and support.

Pre-Op: Adore this man. Probably has the best run practice on Long Island. Although I am concerned about altering my digestive process and all the potential side effects, including death, I do have faith in Dr. Ahmad's skill as a surgeon. Beyond that he is just an amazing human being.rnrnI have watched my waistline increase and my health deteriorate enormously and feel both gratitude and optomism that someone like Dr. Ahmad has the ability to help me regain my health.rnrnAlso of note is that fact that he turned Mather Hospital into a Bariatric Center of Excellence. Not an easy feat by any means!rn-----------------------------------------------rnrnPost Op: What a great surgeon. Highly skilled, thorough, involved. Saw him everyday in the hospital, never had difficulty reaching him once I went home. Only a phone call away day or night!rnrnI experienced an excellent post op course, without complications, almost no scarring due his laproscopic approach.rnrnHe offers a very comprehensive support program. His staff is very personable and caring. They know who you are when you call!rnrnSix months post op and I remain free from diabetes, high blood pressure, GERD, joint pain and foot pain. I am finally free from the depression/anxiety I constantly felt over wieight issues/declining health. I have lost 83.5 pounds and have gone from wearing an 18W to a size 6. People walk past me and don't even recognize me.rnrnDr. Ahmad has restored my health, my emotional well being and taught me how to eat properly. He has changed my life forever!rnrnI have so much energy now I enrolled in a 3 year Master's Program in addition to working full time!!!rnrnThank you, thank you, Dr. Ahmad!rn

Dr Ahmad is awesome! He has a good bedside manner, he explained everything fully and always answers all my questions. I felt and still do feel completely safe with my life in his hands. He can be stern and yell at you, but it all because he has your best interest at heart. The office staff is great, but I feel they are very disorganized but not due to anything other than they have too many clients. They need to expand their practice, but who am I? Overall he is great and I really am happy I chose to have my surgery done by him!

Let me start by saying that Dr. Ahmad is a wonderful doctor. He was so inviting and comfortable to talk to. He and his wife are with you every step of the way. The office staff is exceptional, I have never felt out of place. Everyone in the office knows you by your first name after the first visit which puts you even more at ease. I first met Dr. Ahmad and the staff at an information meeting that you are required to go to before having a consultation. I was very informative and Dr. Ahmad addressed all the risks of the surgery plus showed all of his statistics for the surgery which I feel are outstanding. From what I have seen and heard from his patients that have had the procedure, Dr. Ahmad is very involved in everything that takes place. He is very intricate and expects only the best. He and his wife give 110% of themselves and I couldn't ask for anything better. There are not enough words to describe Dr. Ahmad, his wife and his staff. They are just wonderful people and they are all angels to me.rnrnrnrnrnrnrn

Dr Ahmad and his staff are very Knowledgeable, Caring, and Patient. They and their patients are like on big family. Dr Ahmad is an 11 out of 10 !

My first impression of his office was great. I called on the phone to get information and the Doctor's wife spend a good 30 to 40 mintues with me explaining everything. It was then that she told me about the support goup meetings where I could meet Dr. Ahmad and other patients who already had the surgery. At my first meeting everyone from the Dr. Ahmad staff was great. They answer all question and made you feel welcomed and comfortable.As I went thru the process of getting ready for the surgery I felt very comfortable and all my question were answer.The Doctors staff was great, they were friendly courtesy and respectful. I know some people feel unfortable because of there weight and at this office there is no reason to feel that way.The Doctor himself has a great bedside manner and a good sense of humor.He will answer any and all question.The support groups and the education you get before and after surgery makes it all that much easier.

Dr. Ahmad has been wonderful. He is so kind and gentle. He tr uly cares for his patients. The office staff is caring and thoughtful. They definitely helped me through everything.rnIt's been a year now and I am so happy about my results. People I haven't seen in a while don't recognize me. I am off all of my meds. The doctor and his wife have been so supportive and helpful through the whole experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is thinking of having surgery.

Imet with Dr ahmad last week and his wife Seema and was pleasently suprised by their kindness and compassion. They were attentive and very open. I immediately felt comfortable with both of them. The office staff is also wonderful! Both the girls are out going and very calming through this crzy process. Plus they have already been through this experience which is calming in itself. I hav e no complaints, hospefully iit will stay that way, lol!He was very clear about what to expect, he went through my goals for wls and my support system. Which I was comforted to see.

For all my life, I've had a problem with my weight. After many, many failed attempts at losing weight, I decided to get the Lap-Band. The surgery went great and I initially lost a lot of weight. Followups are very important. My Surgeon, Dr. Ahmad, was great; very professional and knowledgeable. Support Group meetings and follow-up appointments are crucial for success in the weight loss process.

Dr. Arif Ahmad is a wonder, caring and compasionate surgeon. He is friendly and easy to talk to. His wife and the staff are great. I highly recommend Dr. Ahmad.
