He was my first choice when I began to look into surgery and I am so happy I was able to be his patient! He has the hands of an angel. When I first met him I felt completely comfortable and everything about him was very assuring. He's a very busy man, but has an amazing team that is always there to assist you when he is not. He made sure that I completely understood what exactly I was getting myself into. I can honestly say that he is the best all around and I wouldnt recomend any other surgeon to any body. He is genuine and caring.

WHAT CAN I SAY?? SUPERB STAFF, SUPERB PROGRAM....GREAT SUPPORT SYSTEM. THEY WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS, RETURN CALLS,EMAILS.... VERY PROFESSIONAL...HE EXPLAINED EVERY POSSIBILITY(VSG,LAP,RNY) PRO/CONS OF EACH. HE ASKED ABOUT MY LIFESTYLE AND HOW EACH WOULD FIT INTO MY FUTURE LIFE... HE WORKS OUT OF SOUTH MIAMI HOSPITAL(CENTER OF BARIATRIC EXCELLENCE).

I WOULD ENCOUROAGE ANYONE IN THE MIAMI AREA TO MEET HIM AND IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE THE STATE, YOU ARE ALSO IN FOR A TREAT!

Dr. Gonzalez impressed me from the moment I had my first info session with him. He is high energy and sharp. I wanted a no "BS" doctor and he was it. Upfront and honest. He was quick to deal with my post op medical issues and made sure at all times I was taken care of.

Dr. Gonzalez was my first choice 6 years ago, but unfortunately I was unable to get an appointment with him soon enough and I regreat having selected another bariatric surgeon in another city (whom I will not name). My original gastric bypass pouch was too large and I was able to consume a lot since the first time I was able to eat solids foods. I lost aproximately 70 pounds and I regained most of them, I never got close to my goal. I heard that my insurance was approving revisions and this time I was able to get an apponintment with Dr.Gonzalez. The first impression I got of him is that he is very knowledgeable, to the point and very experienced. I have met him 9 months ago, and I am 5 days post-op and my impression of him has not changed. His office staff was very helpful and always returned my calls and addressed my concerns. Dr.Gonzlez is affiliated with South Miami Hospital where there is an established after care program, all the professionals there are experienced, and compassionate; they emphasize on us patients asking questions and caling them when in doubt about anything.rnAll the risks of this surgery were clearly addressed by Dr. Gonzalez during the first presentation. On a scale of 1 to 10, so far I give him a 10. Dr. Gonzalez's bothe surgical competence and bedside manner are great.

Dr. Gonzalez was reccommended to me by a co-worker and he turned out to be a wonderful surgeon. His confindence, knowledge and experience made me feel more at ease. I knew I was in good hands. He was straight forward about the risks and his track record. I have had no complications, I healed so well and I feel wonderful! So far, I would do it all over again. I have started a new life, thanks to Dr. Gonzalez and his support team. He has a very busy pratice so it was not a touchy-feely experience-but I knew that I could contact the doctor or one of his two partners and get the information or help that I needed. It is also good to know that my progress and health will be monitored and that I have a support group that I can attend. Dr. Gonzalez's surgical competence far outweighs his bedside manner-but his bedside manner was not bad at all. He made me laugh. I give him two thumbs up!

Inital contact with his office was in august. Appt set up for 10/25. Waited almost 3 hours to see him for 10 min. He seems very nice and EXTREMELY BUSY. However, Cristina, is EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL and helpful. A pleasure to deal with her.

Dr. Gonzalez was a very good surgeon. He works with two other surgeons, and I saw all of them while I was in the hospital. I had laproscopic surgery, which I highly recommend.

The only negative thing about Dr. Gonzalez is the very long wait I have had every time I have gone to see him, both pre-op and post-op. Two hours past my appointment time is not an unusual time to wait. I have waited three hours once for a 5 minute post-op visit. He has a good nurse practitioner, who has been very helpful post-op.

I did get a very good orientation to the risks of surgery. He soes that in a group setting. That was good, because others asked some questions that I would not have thought about. I was also sent to a half day session with the dieticians at Baptist Hospital in Miami, and consulted an exercise specialist as part of my pre-op. I felt very prepared and committed by the time my surgery was done. It took about six months to complete all of the required consults and tests.

He was a great surgeon, not too friendly as in bedside manner-- but very capable. I would recommend him to others. His office has an after-care program and I foud the nurse Ketty to be very helpful and informative.

My first impressions of Dr.Gonzalez was wow this Doctor really knows his stuff. I went to his seminar before having the surgery and he was very convincing and I walked out knowing that he was going to be my surgeon. They office staff is very nice and very helpful.Future patients should know that Dr. Gonzalez is very good at what he does, He truly does care about you as an individual.
