I had a good experience with Dr. Moazzez. Excellent doctor! I am very grateful to him for being well.

My before surgery opinion is 5 stars. I feel very comfortable about having this procedure. I scheduled for May 18th. Hopefully, all goes well and I will post a post-op opinion.

Update 4/16/2015!

Wow, it's been over 8 years since my surgery. I'm still doing well. I'm at 147 lbs. I'd like to lose about 15 lbs. I'm working on it. My weight gain is due to an accident in which my foot was pretty much severed. So I've not been as mobile.I've since had my 6th surgery and hope that's the last. Now, I'm back up and active! I'm very please with the WLS tool. Many don't understand this concept, but this is a tool and we have to do our part to make it work. Having WLS isn't going to benefit you if you do not follow the the proper guidelines given to you. At any rate, I love Dr. Moazzez! He is a great doctor!

I had a lapband put in and once it was there the
problems began. I do not feel the issues I was experiencing were ever really taken seriously by Dr Moazzez. He ordered test after test and they all came back normal. My band was not stable from the day it went in and Dr. Moazzez was not able to stabilize it in almost 3 years. The non stop vomit and fallout left my body weak and malnourished but I truly believe he did not even notice. Having this done was a huge mistake and is one of my biggest regrets in life. The emotional toll it takes on you is tremendous but this doctor could not care less about that either. The band is out now and I say good riddance time it. I am nutritionally healthy once again and regret wasting 3 years of my life on this procedure.

I can't say enough about Dr. Moazzez and his staff at Blue Point Surgical. Its so hard to find a doctor who actually truly cares about his patients now a days, but him and his staff truly do! It seems like every doctor i go to now a days spends like 2 minutes with me before rushing out to the next patient. NOT Dr. Moazzez, he will sit down and answer EVERY question you have in full detail and will go through everything in complete detail. He will really put you at ease. Also I can't say enough about his staff, everyone from the dietician/nutritionist, the nurses, strengthening coach, to the office staff, especially Pam. She is the one who handles everything basically. She is very friendly and very approachable. She will answer any questions you have and really cares! You can always reach her, and anytime i left a message with her, she ALWAYS returned my call within 10 minutes. It is very rare to find a doctor who cares, but its unheard of now a days to find a doctor and an entire staff who cares, but you do with Blue Point Surgical Group. They are top notch from top to bottom!

I cannot say enough good things about the Bluepoint Surgical Group and Dr. Moazzez. I was very hesitant about having gastric bypass surgery, but the Bluepoint team made everything as easy as possible. I was always able to get an appointment when necessary, the preauthorization process was seamless and Dr Moazzez and his staff were extremely competent and friendly. Dr. Moazzez is an excellent surgeon who seems to really care about his patients. After my surgery, I have seen his PAs (especially Tiffany) and they are great-- always listening carefully to any concerns and acting immediately rather than waiting for problems to worsen.

I would highly recommend Dr. Moazzaz. Both my husband and I had surgery done by Dr. Moazzaz, my husband had gastric sleeve and I had gastric bypass. Dr. Moazzaz not only has a wonderful bedside manner, he genuinely cares about his patients. The office staff at Blue Pointe Surgical group is very helpful and are all invested in your success as a patient. The pre op information is well set up, though I can't say I learned anything that I didn't know before. And the post care seems adequate, I've only had the one post op visit so far. I also really like the support group that they have once a month.

I had surgery on June 4th and it went beautifully. I needed to contact the PA after hours on the friday after surgery and the PA called back with in 30 minutes and was great. My question was more fear based then reality based and she really talked me through what I did and didnt need to worry about and how to avoid the pain I was feeling. They were really great to work with and I look forward to continuing my journey with them. I gave them a 4 only because I have not been post op very long. I really believe they have been a 5 so far and in a few more weeks plan to change the rating!

I can't even begin to describe how absolutely wonderful Dr. Moazzez, and Bluepoint Surgical Group in Fairfax, VA, have been to me. Dr. Moazzez always took the time to sit and talk, answer my questions, calm my fears, and NEVER rush me through an appointment. He remembered me each time, greeted me if I ran into him in the hallways of the office, and always made me feel like an important patient. Many people say surgeons have no bedside manner, and this is just not the case with Dr. Moazzez. He is simply the best doctor I've had. Not to mention, he is a top surgeon -- my incisions are barely noticeable at only three weeks out, my hiatal hernia fixed, my sleeve working perfectly -- he is truly the best of the best!

Bluepoint is made up of mostly women, all of whom are caring, competent, and determined to help each patient have a positive experience. As I battled my insurance company, went to numerous medical appointments, and even called with crazy questions post-op, they were with me every step of the way. I have a special place in my heart for the Office Manager, Pam Cunningham, who kept me looking up, even when things seemed down.

I highly recommend Dr. Moazzez and his practice. You won't be disappointed!

Today is my 7 year "Surgiversary"! I cannot believe 7 years have gone by so fast!! I truly believe that Dr. Amir Moazzez saved my life in more ways than one!!! I am just as happy today as I was 7 years ago...maybe even more!!!
