I just have to Thank Dr Abkin and his whole staff for helping me through a process that seemed very complex when i started. The people working there are very nice and they told me don't worry we will help you and they did. My Insurance required me to do 6 months of classes, which seemed ridiculous but it was all worth it! Dr Abkin is a wonderful person and awesome Surgeon. I had the Sleeve with him in November and I can't wait for Spring to really arrive so i can try to play golf again. Something I haven't been able to do for 5 yrs due to health. Thank You So Much Dr. Abkin!

I am three years Post Op with Dr Abkin. I had my Realize band in 2010 and did great in the first year. But life happens and i was transferred with my job to Southern Jersey. I just wanted to come here and do a Long Overdue Thank You to Dr Abkin. Having WLS was the right thing to do, but I was afraid as lately I have gained a few pounds.
I called his office with a question about my band for my current physician. They were very helpful, shared the info I needed and also gave me info on their Online Support. I never thought I could still keep in touch even though I'm out of the area. Thank You for the pep talk and the online info. I feel like I am already able to refocus and get back to basics! Dr. Abkin was absolutely amazing. From the beginning he showed that he cared for my needs. He never told me what to choose or make me feel uncomfortable. His staff was also very sweet and helpful. Every physician I was referred to by dr. Abkin was just as wonderful as he was. My sleeve was performed dec. 9, 2013 and he was efficient. I needed no drains and I also had a hernia repaired during the process. If I had to do it all over again I would. I love Dr. Abkin and his team

I am 10 months out from my Sleeve Procedure and feel great! I have lost 90 pounds. I feel confident that I can get through the Holidays this year without giving in to temptations. I'd like to thank Dr Abkin for helping me get my life back. I have lost weight but gained confidence, health and made new friends at support group in Dr Abkin's office. This has been an awesome experience!

Thank You Dr Abkin for giving me this Second Chance to get My Health and my Life Back. I previously had a Lapband with another surgeon. And.. I know it is patient driven, and apparently I didn't have the license to drive it as I failed miserably. I'm fresh post op and have now had the Gastric Bypass. I'm already down 16 pounds! It's amazing how good this works when you have the right set of guidelines to follow. Not to mention with Dr Abkin and his entire Staff, Medical Associates, and even the other patients are they to cheer me on.
I'm so Excited to be on my weight Loss Journey with Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeons! They are the Best! Dr Abkin.. you are a fantastic Surgeon and even better a Great Person as you truly care about your patients.

I did much research and went into this very carefully before deciding whether I should have surgery and more importantly WHO should DO MY SURGERY. The answers YES and DR ABKIN should be man you go to! He is an awesome, caring person and a Fantastic Surgeon. I made the right choice so save yourself time Dr Abkin is the Surgeon to call if you are looking to have Weight Loss Surgery.

The Staff in his office are very helpful in getting you ready for the process and they have a great Support Group both in office and Online.

Dr Abkin you have already changed my Life for the better and that was just in 6 weeks... I can't wait to see where I am at 3 months!

I have say that I am SO thrilled to have picked Dr Abkin's group to have my surgery. He is an awesome man and I am so happy that i got word last week that my surgery has been approved. I will have surgery in First week of January and it will be a NEW YEAR FOR ME for Sure. I have been attending his support groups while I completed my Medically Supervised Weight Loss Classes (needed by my insurance NOT DR ABKIN). I can say that the group in his office is great and the patients have been so helpful even to me.. a Newbie just planning out my journey! Thanks to Dr Abkin, his Staff and his Patients... I've already decided that for Next Labor day I'm running a 5K in my hometown!

I have thought about Weight Loss Surgery for 5 years but was afraid to do it. Then my husband decided he wanted to try it. He had surgery with Dr Abkin two months ago and is already down 45 pounds. I can't believe how quickly his health has improved. I tagged along with him to his one month post op and I'm now scheduled for Bypass myself in January!

I have researched and thought long and hard about having weight Loss Surgery. For past two years i felt like I was drowning in my own body. As my health declined i knew i had to do something. But i felt if i turned to surgery I'd be quitting on myself. Thanks to Dr Abkin and the wonderful people in his office I have learned that having the Surgery will Help me get my Health back. I now feel i'm choosing to LIVE and the Surgery is the tool that will help me get my weight under control and get healthier.
Dr Abkin is such a nice guy he answered any question I threw at him and always gave me the time i needed. Thanks to Dr Abkin and all the staff that have helped me to get my paperwork and Insurance in order. I can't wait for my Surgery which is set for October. My Holdiays should finally be MERRY this year!

Dr Abkin Changed my LIFE! I have been Obese for over 10 years and this weekend I actually Ran a 5K! I just want to Thank Dr Abkin and his staff for helping me to stay the course and jump through the hoops that the INSURANCE COMPANY put in front of me. If you really Want to make a change in your life Dr Abkin and his staff are the way to go. I had Gastric Bypass in December and have lost 105 pounds. I started working out with a trainer this spring and feel great and they encouraged me to set small goals. Well i set a goal to run 5k and on Sat. I did it!
So Thank You Dr Abkin for being an awesome person and a fantastic Surgeon. You inspired me to believe it was possible for me to live a healthier life and your were right!
The office staff was great as they were there for me with each step of what i needed to do.
