My first impressions of Dr. Charles Ferguson was that he was very intelligent, compassionate and competent. He took the time to explain the surgery and all the details that go along with it. He answered all my questions very honestly and I had a lot of questions written down for him.

Four days before my surgery I met with him and I felt so at ease because of his confidence. He was right; I didn’t have any complications and have healed very fast. I was feeling great 2 days after my surgery, when the anesthesia and pain medications were getting out of my system.

As soon as I woke up from the surgery, in my hospital room, he was there and let me know that everything went great. He came back two more times to see me in the hospital. (You can’t say that about many surgeons.)

I think he did a terrific job and would highly recommend him to any one needing a surgeon for any of his specialties.

He is my Super Hero Surgeon.

My first impression of Dr. Ferguson is very personable, easy to speak with and open for discussion. He explained to my husband and I all the risks involved, how my life would be changed and possible problems I could have after.
I look forward to having him as my surgeon.

My first impression Dr. Ferguson was that he was a kind soft spoken man. After meeting him a few times he really is one of the nicest doctors. I was very impressed with him and his views on the surgery. He really takes the time to get to know his patients and makes sure they know exactly what is about to happen. He was ready for any questions that I had and answered them honestly. His staff is also fantastic. The aftercare program is wonderful. There are several appointments pre op and the follow up care is pretty extensive. I shopped around for a good surgeon, and I have to say I am very happy with my decision to go to the MGH Weight Center and Dr. Ferguson.

He is a very understanding person...he took TIME with me. Not in a hurry with me. He listened to me and answered all my questions. Dr. Ferguson is with the Mass. Genral Weight Center, and they have a program from "soup to nuts" pon intended. You go though a per-op program that gives you the oppotunity to leave no stone unturned in education to the surgery, post-op ect. you have a staff of 4,a surgoen, med Dr. psycoligist and a dietition. all here to help you with anything. I can't say enough about this group!!

I met with Dr. Charles Ferguson two days before my surgery. He struck me as being a compassionate and competent doctor. Since he was new to Lap WLS I asked him if he enjoyed the work. He admitted that he didn't but since the results were so positive he was going to continue. When I saw him at my checkup and had the opportunity to ask even more questions he answered honestly and understandably. He was pleased with my progress (not to mention me!) and I encouraged him to stay with it as there is such a tremendous need for good WL surgeons. I would recommend him to anyone contemplating the surgery.

Dr Ferguson impressed me at our first meeting with his gentle manner. He strikes me as kind and has a nice sense of humor. He's part of the MGH Weight Center, which is multidisciplinary (psychologists, dieticians, internal-medicine physicians & surgeons all in the same center). Pre- and post-care is very structured... which is one of the major drawing points for me. Office space and office staff are both very comfortable. All in all, very positive!
