As someone who has been overweight all of her life, making the decision to have bariatric surgery was not made lightly (no pun intended). I had tried every diet imaginable and failed at all of them. I met Dr. Krahn and his new patient coordinator, Jennifer at a weight loss support group. I instantly felt comfortable with both of them and knew that I wanted to pursue surgery and wanted Dr. Krahn to do it. The staff walked me through every pre operative phase and explained everything I would need to do. Before I knew it, I had a surgery date. I am so thankful that I had no complications and have steadily lost weight. Soon I will be celebrating my 1 year "surgiversary" and I am so thankful to leaving the overweight version of myself behind me. I am so excited to see what the future holds for me. I simply do not have enough kind words for what Dr. Krahn and his fantastic team have helped me accomplish in over 11 years since surgery!!!

I began my journey with Dr. Krahn in April 2004 and I had open vertical Roux En Y gastric bypass surgery in December 2005. My highest weight was 340 pounds to a low of 160. I am less than half of my former self, having lost 180 pounds in 15 months, and free from diabetes, hypertension, and chronic pain that ruled my life for such a long time!

A lot has changed within Dr. Krahn's practice since I started with him in 2004, but it just keeps getting better and better! His program has always stressed that you are "a patient for life" and use your new "tool" (your pouch) accordingly with how it was designed to ensure imminent success, as well as long term success. His team does this by ongoing lifestyle education, interactive discussions on Facebook and his website, and regular clinical visits with Dr. Krahn and his awesome staff. His staff is always available to answer questions and concerns or if you're just "having a moment" and need a little additional emotional support. Dr. Krahn has a straight forward and direct bedside manner, but very personable as well.

Dr. Krahn did my rny with the ring 1/5/16 and I couldn't be happier, I've already lost 103lbs since my surgery with another 50 to go. I had a couple minor issues after surgery and I loved that I could always get a hold of Dr. Krahn even after hours. His bedside manner is great and you can tell he really wants the best for his patients. The staff he has is great too they will help you in any way they possibly can, I couldn't have hoped for a better Dr and staff to have my surgery with.

I can't express how grateful I am to Dr. Krahn and his staff. Dr. Krahn is one the most compassionate doctors I have ever encountered. He knows how to communicate with his patients and is there to answer any questions you may have. I had a slight complication with my first surgery and Dr. Krahn was on it immediately. He was able to explain everything to me step-by-step as to how he was going to address the problem. I felt very informed and comfortable in the decisions Dr. Krahn, my husband and I made.
In regards to his office staff, I cannot express how wonderful they are. They are the sweetest, kindest, most caring people. If you are having a problem you call and talk with one of the nurses and they will get you the answers you need. I love them all.
I started my journey with Dr. Krahn in 2015. I had my surgery in December 2015. On the day of my surgery I weighed in at 289 pounds. As I am writing this review in August 2016, I am now down to 171 pounds. Thank you so much Dr. Krahn and staff for changing my life. I know I can depend on you throughout my journey.
So if you are considering bariatric surgery, I recommend Dr. Krahn. Believe me, you won't be sorry... he's the best!

Super friendly staff who truly cares about their patients, so glad I am their new patient. Got all my questions answered.

I am very happy so far, I have not had the weight loss surgery as of yet because I have a few small obstacles in my way that I am currently working on. I will have my surgery before the end of the year. I really love all the support of Heidi the miracle worker, she is the most caring person I know. Jennifer and the PA have been amazing and very comforting, I am so glad that they are part of my team. From the receptionist to the doctors they are caring and welcoming and make a dynamic team. I have never had this much support from such a completely competent caring team or anyone else for that matter. I can hardly wait to be healthy ever after!

Love Dr Krahn's office! Dr Krahn is a great doctor, he and his staff will take care of patients but on the flip side will not enable patients to stay as they are.
Dr Krahn, Dr Chin, the awesome PA whose name I forgot ((sorry)), Heidi, Jennifer and all of the office staff rock. The Facebook support group for a western Bariatric is awesome.

I have been a patient of Dr. Krahn since 2006 and I couldn't recommend a better surgeon. The staff at Western Bariatrics is one big family and they are 100% sure to make you feel like a part of their family. Great community of support and always available to their patients.
