Weight No More Surgical Clinic Bariatric Center
UPDATE: Dr. James Weber retired in June of 2008 to become - wait for it - a YOGA INSTRUCTOR! He loves to hear from his former patients and is very good at returning emails. His email is [email protected]_________________________rnDr. Weber was my surgeon for both the VBG in 2000 and the revision to bypass in 2007. He is my angel and I can't imagine anyone else caring for me as lovingly, compassionately, and intelligently. Dr. Weber considers performing weight loss surgery his 'ministry', a totally accurate description of his work. I am so thankful I found this wonderful doctor and I highly recommend him to anyone considering weight loss surgery. Note: Dr. Weber is very conservative and he insists his patients follow his directions very carefully (pre-op and post op) in order to achieve the best results. Dr. Weber holds degrees from Yale and Columbia Medical School. He has more than 20 years of experience and as of Dec. 07 had performed nearly 3,000 WLS's.
I have been through the screening process with Dr Weber and find him to be sensitive and friendly. Empathetic and sincere. I had a thorough Psych Eval and a visit to a Nutritionist as part of the process. Everything was comfortable and easy for me. I am enthusiastic and eager for the surgery which is now scheduled for July 21, 2000.rnrnI am now 2 1/2 months post-op and still totally satisfied with the whole process. Dr Weber has been perfect. Very professional and very sincere. He listens to my concerns and he responds with a great deal of solid information. His staff is halpful and very caring as well. I would have no reservations about recommending him to anyone. He has has 20 years of experience and at the same hospital -- his reputation is sterling.rnrnHis after-care instructions were thorough and complete. By following his plan I have had no complications or side-effects. No problems eating and no discomfort. No surgical complications either and I would rate him a perfect 10.rnrnJuly 2008: I loved the original VBG but needed a revision 6 years later and Dr. Weber was too judgemental. I went to SF and had the DS with Dr. Rabkin who was GREAT. Can't say enough about them at paclap and their aftercare is the BEST.
Dr Weber is great. He cares about each and everyone of his patients. He wants you in the best mental and physical condition before the surgery and he wants you prepared for what happens after the surgery. He is extremely upfront about his expectations of you as you prepare for surgery. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about weight loss surgery. He wants to make sure you are ready for a life savinng event. This is not a miracle cure, it is a tool to help you acheive a goal. Dr Weber has done this for a long time and is very strict in his expectations of what it takes to succeed. If he reprimands you don't be offended, learn from what he tells you and move on.
9/10/01rnI liked meeting Dr. Weber. It was nice to put a face to the name. I have started completing the necessary steps to have this surgery. I am looking forward to my first consultation at his office. rnrn9/7/07rnI decided to go back to Weber when I decided to have a revision. I really like him a lot and I trusted him with my life for the second time.
I went to Dr Weber's seminar in June. My husband and I liked him from the start. He was and is very down to earth and easy to talk to. He is very thorough in discussing what is going to be expected of you as the patient, what you need to do and why. Stresses after care and how much of a life changing step this is. There is nothing stuffy or uncomfortable about him, his office or his staff. You feel like family and that you belong. All around i am very happy that I had Dr Weber recommended to me.
I saw Dr. Weber for the first time on June 5, 2007 for my initial consultation. He had a great bed side manner. I loved it when he went over my packet from Bremerton Naval Hospital. He kept saying \"I love Bremerton Naval Hospital patients\" \"They are always prepared.\" rnrnHis staff was great. Very supportive. rnrnDr. Weber insists that you have someone spend the night with you on your first night after surgeryrnrnI still have my pre-op appt. I will have an update after that.rnrnSo far my impression of him has been postive.
Doctor Weber is a very personable and professional surgeon. I felt at ease with him as he gave all the information needed to make a good decision to have the surgery. He also was very concise in his analysis as to my readiness for the surgery. His office staff is the best I have ever seen in an office! He is readily available (or has been the two times I had a question) and his staff is very reassuring. He has good structured aftercare. He described the risks of surgery so I knew this wasn't just a cure all but a very serious procedure that would require a lot from me. As far as I'm concerned, Dr Weber is one of the best surgeons all round. He did an excellent job on the surgery, on my before and after care and even with my husband's questions.rnI would not hesitate to recommend any one to him. He and his office get a big 10 from me!
Dr.Weber is the most compassionate doctor I have ever met. After my first appt. I felt so secure in knowing he had my best interest in mind. He takes the time to talk to you and answer you questions, He talks to you as a human being and treats you with utmost respect and caring. As my surgery date got closer, I only got more and more confident. I had 200% trust in Dr. Weber. I believe that many doctors could learn a thing or 2 from Dr. W. The staff is wonderful and caring. rnrnIf you plan on going through Dr.W know that your journey begins after the first appt. That is when you start excersing, preparing for your suregery. It doesnt begin the day of your surgery. he is very strict about his patients getting moving and the right road before surgery, which may turn some ppl off. But if you think about it, why does he do it? Because he cares about your success. I wouldnt of had it any other way. rnrnAftercare with Dr. W is huge. He remains in very close contact with his patients. Not only does he see you regularly after surgery, he is always available by phone or e-mail and unlike other doctors he really does get back to you in a timley manner. He really does genuinley care about his patients. In fact he will be the first to tell you to send him a Christmas card or drop by the office and. Keep in touch! rnrnHe has been doing these surgeries since the 70's. He is very very good at what he does, Very efficient. He talks you thru everything that you are/will be experiencing and you can call if you ever have any questions. He has also written a book and as you progress towards your surgery he gives you chapters to read, chalk full of help information.rnrnI would rate Dr. Weber on a scale of 1-10 a 10+++. You just cant ask for a better Surgeon and not only that he's not just your surgeon he's your friend. He's an all around awesome Dr. I recommend him 100%.
My first impression of Dr. Weber was that he was so intent on helping people combat obesity. After the first appt with him I knew he was the right surgeon for the job. I thanked my PCP profusely for referring me to him. His office staff was wonderful, after the first appt they remembered my name and who I was and made me feel like everything was going to be ok. He's tough, I had to lose about 20 lbs before surgery and keep food logs and excercise logs, but soon realized that for the first time in my life I was accountable for the things I put in my body. He was straightforward about the risks of surgery, but still made me feel like I would be ok. He's a brilliant surgeon, and caring doctor, and a creator of hope. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon.
