I love Dr. Barker and his staff. They are so great and knowledgeable and they make you feel so comfortable with the whole process. I would recommend him to anyone.

I had my surgery on 8/22/07. I had the best experience with Dr. Barker and his staff. Earline one of the nurses in his office gives the best hugs with lots of reassurance to go along with it. I have also referred several friends to Dr. Barker and told them all about the office staff and Dr. B's calm demeanor. He is so confident in his stride and he knows the right things to say. I am so happy I met Dr. Barker and his staff. I came in for a revision. And, Dr. B said we will have a long relationship.I have lost over a 100 lbs and am now starting to really have to use restraint. Is it ever too late to come to the group support meeting. Dana the office manager is also great, they have always treated me with respect when I have called or come to the office. I really pray that Dr. Barker has continued success with his practice and I know he will go down in history books for many years after we are gone. God Bless you all and keep doing the good work that you all do.rnD'Neece Hill, Pt since 2007 and for Life......rnAddendum: rnThanks so much for $50.00 gift card, I love you guys, tell Earl Hey for me. This is a great office staff and to Dr. Barker I think you hang the Moon.........Bless you

very quiet, confident air about him. a little aloof prior to surgery, maybe pre-occcupied as I was sixth of day! lots a people on staff! all helpful. He used an anethesiologist that was not a preferred provider on my insurance! He is VERY busy. highly emphasizes aftercare, within his staff. Overall - very pleased: only one week out tho ! His surgical competence was why I picked him, and his manner has been very warm when needed. very reassuring.

What a cutie! Great doctor with sincere caring of obese patients. His staff were a bit overwhelmed but really tried to be nice. Dr Barker tries to see all his patients but his practice is so big that he can't do it. This makes for really long waits on Tuesdays and Thursdays when he sees patients in the office. If you want the best surgeon, he's it. Just be patient when you go see him. But it's really worth the wait if you want your surgery done right.

Dr. Barker and his staff are great. I will say as everyone does they are busy. Be prepared to wait when you go in. However, they had an extremely busy day last time I was there and were kind enough to bring us snacks. They also apologized for keeping us waiting. They had me do all testing before sending information to the insurance company and I was able to get a surgery date less than a month from my 2nd consult. Overrall I would recomend him.

I actually really like Dr. Barker he answered all my questions and was very attentive. I love his office staff they are wonderful. Bobby his assistant is actually the one that spoke to me the most about the different surgical options. I was glad for their candid answers. I originally went in to discuss a Lap Band and have decided after being given alot of information that I did not know, to have a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy. One thing please do not let the vast amount of patient's in his office frighten you...you do get very personal attention, although you do wait for quite a long time so take a book or you can watch the video that they have playing. rnrnLets face it folks even if he had two heads and horns should that be our first concern or the fact that he is a awesome surgeon. rnrnYou also have an agreement that must be signed about his strigent after care and follow-up appointments. I will withold my opinion on how to rate him until after my surgery, but as of right now he is definately a 10. Just a little note he is the fourth surgeon that I have seen and had a consult with about this surgery and the first one I am going to let cut on me...need I say more... rnrnWell I had surgery on February 20, 2008 by Dr. Barker and it went well. I LOVE HIM. On my post op visit I did see his PA, but on my 1 month follow-up I saw Dr. Barker. As always his staff is awesome and all of them are very informative. His staff works some very late hours to accomodate their patient's and for us that work this is greatly appreciated.rnrnI am now about 5 months post op and am doing well...I still cannot say enough about Dr. Barker and his staff.

I only saw Dr. Barker once two months before my surgery at my first appointment. I was told he did my endoscopy but I never saw him. My sister said he came out and talked to her after my gastric sleeve. He did not come by to visit me post-op in the hospital.rnrnI don't know if this is common or not as this is my first surgery.

Dr. Barker was my best friends surgeon. He was wonderful. She had no leaks from the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy. She was able to do the things that was expected of her.
