I met Dr. Baker today. I was very impressed with him. He was not in a rush. He took time to talk and to explain every detail of the surgery.This was done in a group setting. After he was finished talking he ask for questions and answered all of he with out be in a hurry.

He then saw each of us 1 at a time and went over my surgery with me by my self.
He was very kind and compassionate. He doesn't expect any unfore seen goals I thought they were very realistic and achievable.

I would highly refer anyone to him as a patient with out any reservation.

The only thing I was unhappy with was the 3 hr wait on him to get to the office.My appointment was at 8:30 and he wasn't there until 11:30.

Will update more after my surgery on the 20th.

I have not met Dr. Baker yet, but so far I have been very impressed with his staff, especially Becky. She has patiently answered all of my questions and been very encouraging and empowering. I appreciate her sensitivity! I will be meeting Dr. Baker on November 22nd. I will be back to update then.

11/24 I met Dr. Baker a couple of days ago. I am very impressed with him. He is straight forward, but very kind and caring. I was so impressed with all of his staff.

I have not met dr. baker yet. I will be meeting with him on july 19th. I have heard alot about him. I was told he was a really great doctor and he is very forward. So far the staff at his office has been really helpful and nice.




July 19th 2001- Well I have finally meet Dr. Baker! I just want to let everyone know that he is the greatest. He was kind to all of us there and answered all of our questions. Then when it was time for the one on one I thought he was going to sock it to me but he didn't. He was kind and helpful. Everyone at the office was really nice and made me feel really comfortable.
I am glad that Dr. Baker is going to be the one doing my surgery. I have full confidence in him.

I go to see Dr. Baker on July 2nd wooooohoooooooooo ill let you know what I think after I get home :)

hi all I got to see Doc. Baker yesterday had a very nice consult with him he is a very nice man easy to talk with and someone thatrealy cares for his patients and when he talks you listen to every word. IM very pleased with Mr. Baker and I am looking forward to have him operate on me in Aug.

5-24-01 was my consultation with Dr. Baker. I took my husband and sister with me. He was everything I expected. He is a great guy and he expects absolute compliance to his rules and he lets you know that up-front.
He is soft spoken and I like that becuase I wouldnt want him to be harsh while talking about such a sensitive issue. I totally trust him !

6-26-01 I had my RNY 6-13 and Im doing great. Dr.Baker is so good. His incision on me is 7 inches long and it is the best looking one Ive ever seen. It's practically healed 100% already. I was very suprised to not be more sore. My C-section left me more sore than this WLS. Im very very satisfied with Dr.Baker and I know that I will succeed for him, myself and my family. I rate Dr. Baker a Big Fat 10.

I have been working on approval for surgery for quite a while. My dear husband switched Insurance companies for me and they approved with the first letter. I was so happy. Dr.Baker has been doing many surgerys and I have had the pleasure(being a nurse) of taking care of many of his patients who have become very good friends to me now. His office personell have helped me very much with my venture and I am so looking forward to My day of renewal June 28th.

Dr. Baker is a hard man to answer to. He wants to know why you haven't done "ALL YOU CAN" to lose your excess weight. He will not accept any kind of excuses and basically looks right thru you. But after you survive the grilling he gives you in the consult you find him to be a nice matter of fact doctor. My physical exam was very respectfully done and I never felt embarrassed at all. He has a manner about him that is calming and reassuring after you leave the hot seat and he is convinced that you are really going to do what he tells you to do. I am pleased with Dr. Baker as a man that I am sure is a brilliant surgeon and I trust him.
His office staff is nothing but wonderful. I was very welcome and treated like and old friend. I was very comfortable and this is important to me. It is hard to go thru this process and having a nice reception is very important.

I will not meet Dr. Baker until my first consultation on August 17, 2001.

The office staff is wonderful; we have communicated through mail, phone, and e-mail frequently. They have helped guide me through each step of the long process.

I have not had my first consultation with my Doctor yet. He does all of the approval process first before you meet with him. I will let you know all of this after my meeting with him on May 17th.

Dr Baker is a very caring and informative person. He is very interested in you and why you have the habits you have and how you plan to change them. He is very thorough with his examination. He wants to make sure there aren't going to be any surprises for him once you are on the table. I was very comfortable with him and the surgery after meeting with him.
