My first impression of Dr. Broussard was his
senserity for his patients. He was very informative about all surgerys. He helped me decide which surgery was best for me and went into detail about all the aspects. I knew what to expect at my first appointment and set goals for myself with the help of his office personnel.(doctor, nutrition, exercise, and mental awareness). I am confident that from now till after surgery I will recieve excellent care.

I would definitely recomend Dr. Broussard to anyone thinking of having bariatric surgery.

As with any surgery, he will tell you the risk and how any risk with any type of surgery could affect you and at what percentage it could affect you.

I would rate Dr. Broussard as very knowledgeable.

He has a very structured aftercare program. I have already been to my first appointment and am looking forward to my next one. I am losing weight now and hope to keep doing so.
I am in the pre-surgery program now.

I'm really impressed with Toby Broussard as he sat down and had a one on one with me explaining every detail of pros and cons of surgery, types of surgery and risks and benefits. He told me what was expected of me and gave me opportuinity to ask questions and encouraged me to let him know my fears. He assured me that I would have an entire interdisciplinary team working with me on my case and that I would have support in all aspects. So far I have worked with dietician Chris who is great, Nurse practitioner Kathy who is knowledgable on the clinical side of things and coordinates care overall,psychologist , patient advocate Stephanie who has been helpful, exercise therapists Summer and one other. Tracey is the nurse who does my vitals height and weight had the surgery herself and looks great and is so encouraging. I give the team a 10 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best!In addendum, I got the priveledge of working as a med surg nurse with Dr. Broussard and He is an awesome surgeon.The nurses in the hospital are awesome as well. Loved working with most of them!

I met Dr Broussard at the initial seminar. He was very informative about the different types of bariatric surgery. Over the next few weeks (pre-surgery) I met with him several times and he answered all the questions I presented to him thoughtfully. The staff was great. I was assigned to a patient advocate who answered my calls and e-mails promptly. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The aftercare was explicitly explained and emphasized. Support is offered through weekly support group meetings where there were all levels of post-WLS patients available to answer questions on all levels. Dr Broussard has performed a large number of WL Surgeries and is very competent as a surgeon. He's also a very likeable person and has good bedside manner.

These are my personal opinions, based on my personal experiences. These experiences are based solely on my experience, and not things I have heard from others.

Dr B was a very straight forward person and for me that meant alot since i am the same type of person. His staff is great they treat you very well with open arms .There wasnt anything taht i could say that i didnt like about Dr B ,He does emphasize alot about after care and i know that he is there anytime of the day any day of the week whenever i need him from the smallest question to the biggest question he is always available. I would rate Dr B as the top notch in his field and would not have chosen any other surgeon for my surgery i am very happy with him. He has a great bedside manner and also a outstanding surgical competence.I had not one negative experience with Dr B or any of his staff. the only negative experience i had was when my insurance denied my claim first time out but Dr B went to bat for me and it was appealed.

Dr Brosard was very informational I thought I knew alot about the surgury but I learned alot more. My decision to have weight loss surgury was instilled even more after listing to him all of my questions were answered with care and kindness. Thanks hope I can get the surgury soon.(Insurance)

Great surgeon. No problems. I would highly recommend him. I think he is highly skilled and I had no complications.

A very warm man and seems to really care about his pts and their continued success. My impressions of him have only gotten more favorable as time has gone by. Very easy to talk to and always willing to listen. His staff is pleasant and very well trained in what they do. I like everything about Dr. Broussard and his staff at Weight Wise. Be ready to hear it straight and be ready to work hard, because he will tell you this is just a tool, it is now on us as pts to do the work. He emphasizes aftercare bunches, I haven't had surgery yet and I am completely aware of what to expect after surgery and a large part of that is his excellent staff. I can not say enough about Chris C. my dietitian and the exercise physiologist there at weight wise, they are soooo... helpful and knowledgeable about what I am going through. I cannot leave out the ladies at the front desk they are even so helpful and easy to talk to, those ladies make everyones lives a little easier, beacause we are all so busy and they will find a way to get you in. I would rate Dr. Broussard and the Weight Wise team as a 10/10 could not ask for a better group of professionals to help me navigate through this maze of insurance companies and weight loss challenges.

I first met Dr. B at a Weightwise seminar on 6/6. I thought he was very professional, talked a lot, but VERY intelligent and PASSIONATE about what he does. That is so important to me. In order to do a great job, you have to love what you do.
I had my surgery with Dr. B on 9/2/2009. Everything went absolutely wonderful. Not a single complication! Dr. B and his staff were and still are AMAZING. They are very structured, but very supportive and will help you every step of the way. He was very thorough and answered any and every question I have had. He is a great surgeon and a great guy! I completely trust being in his hands!

Dr. Broussard explained everything in a way that we could understand and not in Medical terms. Dr.Broussard was very kind and very informative and let us ask all the questions we needed to ask after the seminar was over.
Glad that I was referred to Him. I really think I am in good hands.

The initial seminar with Weightwise was extremely informative and detailed the risks and rewards of surgery. I had attended a seminar at another local hospital but this was the better one. I left the seminar with the realization that this is a life changing surgery and so much of the success depends upon me. I also left with the impression that I would have a team of experienced professionals behind me each step of the journey. rnrnI later met with Dr Broussard who seemed to be very caring, approachable and knowledgeable. I am in the middle of completing my pre-surgery stuff. I need a sleep lab, lab work and stress test. More to come after I complete those tasks.rnrn
