Toby Broussard, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center
Just started my wls journey. So far have been very impressed with Dr. Broussard and all of his staff. He has a complete program with dieticians, exercise trainers, psychologist, and support group.
I just attended the free bariatric surgery seminar today which Toby Broussard conducted. The first 30 minutes was a very informative testimonial by a patient of Dr Broussard’s who underwent the bypass surgery about 2-1/2 years ago. The seminar answered my questions and addressed my concerns. I decided to make an appointment to discuss my options and take the next step. I found the seminar a great experience and look forward to the journey ahead.

I am young and was overweight. I came to Dr. Broussard in June 2011. I had my surgery in August 2011. I have lost 40+ pounds and 70+% of my oveweight body fat.! I have never been any happier in my entier life. This surgery and Dr. Broussard are amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeron or expierence. Everyone that works in the office are very helpful. If you are someone intrested in WLS surgery I personally encourage you just to attend a seminar and you'll be hooked on this doctor and his facility.
I have nothing but praises to sing from the beginning for Dr. B and his staff. Not only has everyone had excellent bedside manners, they took the time to make sure I had all the information needed. I have never been left wondering "what next?".
Thank you Dr. Broussard for your encouraging words and being very straightforward and informative.
Dr. Broussard makes sure you are aware of the type of surgery you are receiveing and if it is the best surgery for you. He doesn't mince words. He and his staff has made it abundantly clear what is expected of me as the patient. How I need to work my sleeve to be successful in my weight loss.
After surgery, you are not on your own. He has staff in place to help you with diet and exercise. They are there for a lifetime to help you be successful and to be a healthier you.
I felt it was my responsibility to gather as much information as possible concerning surgeons and weight loss facilities. I did alot of research online. I am thankful I chose Dr. Broussard. His method just makes sense and he goes the extra step to insure you have a safe outcome. He doesn't take risks with your life. He wants you to be a healthier you.
Dr Broussard, did an excellent job at the information meeting. I had been to several others and this was absolutely the best. Decided that this was the best choice for a surgeon and scheduled appt. the next day. Dr. B gave me a goal to meet and then a way to meet this goal. My first appt was in early June and I had surgery (gastric sleeve) on Sept 20. One day in hospital, went home next day and was walking at track on third day. This has been an answer to many prayers. Started this search almost 8 years ago. The support from staff, doctor and others have been great. I have to drive 5 hours to get to the clinic and Dr. Brousarrd but it has been worth it. Feeling great 2 weeks out.
It has been 8 months since surgery and have lost 202 lb.total. Staff and Dr. B have been with me the entire time. The support is fantastic. Could not have made a better choice. No longer diabetic and down from 15 perscriptions to 5.Feeling great.
My primary physician talked to me about going to the Weight Wise clinic and checking into WLS. I was ready for a big change this time so after reviewing the website completely, (I even watched the bypass surgery video) I signed up for a seminar. It took me two tries to follow through with actually going to the seminar. First impressions, I kid you not, I was thrilled with the extra wide chairs. Dr. Broussard is very candid about everything you will go through before and after surgery. There is no sugar coating here. It took me a few more weeks to make my first appointment because I'm a heavy thinker and I had to wrap my brain around all the things I'd be giving up and what I would gain. First actual office visit, he is very straight forward. I have who I like to refer to as the Stephanie's as my patient advocate and dietician. I actually felt encouraged rather than schooled after being here. I have a little ways to go before my body is ready for surgery but I am enjoying the ride.
