He was funny and very nice. I like him even more. They are caring and nice to deal with. nothing!!!!! yes everyone.

My first impression of DR Gonzales was wow, he looks young. He seems to have a great sence of humor.
His office staff was very helpful. Several of them had wls preformed by Dr Gonzales.
I would say that he stresses the importance of his after care program! He told me since I didn't live far away he could see me all the time! I hope that was his sence of humor working.
He told me the risks and anwsered all of my questions.
I would rate him an 8 out of 10 for the consult...I'll let you know how I feel about him after surgery.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. G and his staff!
He is: very responsive to any concerns, caring, honest about the risk and benefits of surgery, patient, funny, a skilled surgeon, just generally fabulous!
Connie and the Shannons (his office staff) are just as wonderful. They are quick to respond to the thousands of questions I have asked throughout this journey, friendly, caring and kind. The Shannons have been through this themselves are really understand all that you go through.
Dr. Smith the psychologist is the first person in my entire life that I have trusted enough to truly express all the pain and frustration my obesity has brought me over the years. He creates a safe environment in which you can open up.
Honestly, I am struggling to think of anything negative to say about any of them. The office is closed from Noon-2pm for lunch and meetings and that can drive me nuts, b/c lunch time is usually the easiest time for me to make personal calls. But, even then if you have an emergency you can get right through.

I have enjoyed my experience with Dr Gonzales. He has been very easy to talk to and his entire program is very commendable.

So far I have only spoken to him on the phone and he was extremely nice and told me that he would be honored to help me with my weight management even though I would be one of his smaller patients but I have other health issures. He is sending me his packet. After talking to a couple of people, that I know personally, about their dealings with Dr. Gonzales and speaking with him personally, I feel very good and sure I have made a good decision. I received his phone call after emailing him night, he personally called me not his staff.

So far my only time meeting him was at the group support meeting. However both myself and my husband loved him. He was willing to answer any questions and was always to the point and "told it like it is." I feel this is a very good quality for a surgeon to have! I'll update this more after my consultation on the 25th!

I had my initial consultation on 2/25 and I was very pleased. Dr. Gonzales is very knowledgeable and wants to make sure that you feel comfortable in every aspect. I felt that he was very supportive of my decision to have the DS and was very good at explaining what I can expect with the surgery. I feel completely at ease with Dr. Gonzales and his whole staff.

I met Dr.Gonzales about a year ago- He was very informative about the surgery. I'm just glad I finally got the funds to have the surgery and (stay in the states) to have it!

I have an appt 10/08/2003. I will advise how it went after my appointment.
********************************************10/08/03-I have had my appt with Dr. G. I liked him alot. He is very direct and to the point. He does not sugar coat anything. He tells you like it is. Can't wait to have my surgery.

10/19/03-I had my pre-op eval with Dr. G. He says I will do well and I know I will too. Thanks Dr. G!!!!!

Today I had my initial consultation with Dr. Gonzales. It went Grrrreat(sound like Tony the Tiger!! I really felt comfortable with him. I liked the fact that he was upfront and honest about everything. He office staff is very professional(Connie...you are the greatest)Dr.Gonzales suggested that I have the Roux-en-Y(RNY). I give Dr.G and his staff a perfect score of 10!:)

I first met Dr.Gonzales in January 2001. He was great. HE answered all my question. He not only told me the positive of my surgery, he explained ALL the risks of the surgery. I have TOTAL confidence in Dr.Gonzales.
Dr.Gonzales did my RNY June 18, 2001. I am now 2 years post-op. I am doing great.
On July 11,2003 Dr.Gonzales repaired my hernia and also gave me my tummy tuck. I am havin some complications from the tummy tuck but let me tell you, Dr. Gonzales is seeing me every week, making sure I am doing ok. He is answering not only all of my questions, but my husband and my mothers questions.
Dr.Gonzales is not only a GREAT Physicain, he is truly genuine person and my family and I have the utmost respect for him.
His staff is great in answering all my questions no matter how small my concern may be.
I work in the medical field. The Physicans I work for refer patients to Dr.Gonzales all the time. I work for a very well respected family practice and the Physicians would not refer their patients to Dr.Gonzales if they did not feel he was truly a GOOD DOCTOR.
I know there were some ugly rumors going around about Dr.Gonzales. People need to realize Dr.Gonzales is a regular person outside of his office. We all have the right to live our lives and take care of ourself and our families. I feel that is what Dr.Gonzales did while being out of his office on leave.
I have basicaly entrusted my life to Dr.Gonzales and I feel totally confident in him as a Physician.
I hope other people can see the great Physican I see when I go to his office.
