Dr Artuso and Dr Chui are caring and patient people. MY experience with the surgery was excellent, so far.

My most negative experience was with the insurance company, I ended up paying for this surgery myself. Dr Artuso was understanding and gave me a reduced rate.

My most negative comment about a Dr is sometime Dr Chui is as hyper as I am, and I am not sure he is listening, but I make sure he heard me. I like his energy! I can't say anything bad about Dr Artuso.

We addressed all the risks, and both Dr's have been following up with me. They have a structured post op aftercare program with scheduled visits and a nutritional plan. They also call back immediately when I have had questions.

On a scale of 1-10 the experience couldn't have been more positive, they are 10's!

Wow! My first impression of Dr. Artuso was how nice and friendly he is. He took plenty of time to explain the various procedures and the whole process for me and then answered all of my questions. His office staff - Lisa and Laurie are terrific. I feel very comfortable with the whole team, at least those I have met so far. I have never felt so good around medical staff. They all made feel at ease and every one of them has made me feel like I was their only patient.

Dr. Artuso and his team have explained each step from the pre-op procedures to post op. I feel fully informed on what to expect. I feel like I can ask any one of the team members any questions that I might think of and they will either answer or find the answer for me.

I have done some of the pre-op stuff so far and next week I go in for all of the rest and the week after is surgery. I feel confident that I am in excellent hands and I will report on the experience when I'm done.

Dr. Artuso was recommended to me by my primary care doctor. My first impression was wow this guy is tiny. He was calming and explained everything fully. His office staff was great to me. Laura did what she could to be helpful.

When I knew that surgery was scheduled I was nervous. I think I called everyday with some silly question or another.

Seems like since then they are not as warm toward me. They sound kind of annoyed when I call. That tends to 1-make me not call or 2-be a real witch when I do call.

His aftercare program is fantastic. He wants to be involved every step of the way. It's in writing so it's very understandable.

Overall, he is a wonderful man to work with.

When I first met Dr. Artuso, I didn't quite know what to expect. I hoped that he would be informative and prayed that he would show his caring side. I am blessed to say that I was not disappointed at all.

Dr. Artuso did not rush me through my consultation. He took time to fully explain things and was thorough. He made sure I understood. He asked me questions and listened to my concerns. I imagine that day in and day out, he must get tired of repeating these procedures to patients. But I'll tell you, he sure does not show it. He made me feel as if I was not just another patient. My impression of him is that he just really cares about the well being of his patients and this is why he does what he does.

The staff at New Image Weight Loss Center was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They also shared an encouraging attitude towards me. For a moment, I thought I would have a problem because of my financial status. I knew that if the center made a big deal about the small balance that I was responsible for (my insurance covers most of it), that I would look to have my surgery elsewhere. But that was not the case. They worked with me and eased my concerns about payment. I can pay in small installments.

Dr. Choi works with Dr. Artuso. He has been an added blessing to me. He listens, he follows up and he cares. He made me feel good.

Dr. Artuso explained the seriousness of this surgery, the risks, the benefits and what to expect. He explained things to me that made me feel confident in him.

The surgeon and center you choose for your surgery means everything. This is your life. If you don't feel comfortable, confident or safe with your medical caretakers, then you have the right to seek it elsewhere. I recommend New Image Weight Loss Center with confidence.

Dr. Artuso is a great doctor, and very upfront about surgery, with all of its benefits and risks. In my initial consultation, he made me feel so comfortable, and answered all of my questions. The office staff at Dr. Artuso's office is wonderful. Lisa who works at the desk always remembers me, and Laura, who does the insurance stuff is always on top of everything.

Dr. Artuso is a wonderful Dr. i referred several friends to him, two of which have already undergone their surgery and feel the same way i do about him. He reasurred me that my insurance company (oxford) would approve my application and they did, the very first time. Dr. Artuso is extremely empathetic and is a good listener. He truly cares about his patients and will always personally return your phone call. I had my surgery on 1/11/01 at 275lbs. I am now 145lbs. Eighteen months following my bypass surgery (7/9/02) Dr. Artuso performed my gallbladder surgery. I still attend his support groups, which are held once a month at the Dobbs ferry community hospital, where his office is located and where he does various types of weight loss surgery. He truly gave me my life back. His staff is also excellent. They really take the time to make post-op/pre-op patients comfortable.He went over everything with me prior to the surgery. His bedside manner is and surgical compence is the best. I highly recommend him.

VERY GOOD DOCTOR HE DID MY WIFE SURGERY, STAFF IS VERY GOOD AND GIVE YOU NO PROBLEM . THEY EMPHASIZE ALL THE IN AND OUTS OF THE SURGERY AND ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO DO ANYONE SURGERY HE HAS GOOD BED SIDE MANNERS AND THE STAFF AT THE HOSPITAL TAKES GOOD CARE OF YOU ALSO HIS TSAFF IS VERY POLITE . NOTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY AT ALL

My first impression of Doctor Artuso was very positive.

Dr Artuso is wonderful. He is willing to answer any question, give support, etc. His office staff is very helpful * friendly.
Dr Artusi was very thorough in describing all phases of the surgery process as well as aftercare both in the hospital & after. He has a pre-op setup with several different specialists who are all very willing to assist you in any way.
Sr Artuso & his staff are truly a Godsend to the obese.

Dr. Artuso is a wounderful man. He is kind and understanding. he is great to talk to and i was happy i picked him.

My impression has not changed. I still feel Dr. Artuse is a great person.


Dr. Artusos staff is great they are wounderful. They are so helpful.

I like that i could talk to him and let him know how i was feeling.

Future patients should know he is a great surgeon and understanding.


He emphasizes after care you have to see him two after surgery and then two weeks after that. He told me i can call him all the time if i need anything.

I feel he does have a stru8ctured aftercare program.

He told me all the problems i could have and i was lucky i have not had any.

Overall he is a 10 i would tell any one to go see him.

Surgical competence and bedside manner are both importent and Dr. Artuso has both.
This is my personal experence and i could only talk for myself.
