Dr. Billy seemed to be the perfect doctor. He gave me the impression that he had things under complete control. His office staff was great and very helpful. Aftercare is high on Dr. Billy's list. I give him a 10 so far :o)

Dr. Billy is extremely helpful and understanding. One of only a few doctors that I have met that addressed my weight problem as a disease instead of "lack of will power." Made me feel better. Office staff is very helpful. So far - his explanation of the surgery and emphasis on after care have been excellent. He has addressed the some of the risks of the surgery. We are just beginning the process so I know there is much more to come.

Dr.Billy I think is the best. He is kind and patient and doesn't spare details.His approach is cautious and that continues throughout your experience.After meeting with him and his partner Dr.Waldrup I wouldn't have another surgeon. If I have had any concerns or questions they have been answered the same day without any delay, with help from Patricia his assistant.

My first impression of Dr. Billy was how nice and down at my level he was. He also struck me as being very knowledgeable on the surgery. He was very honest about complications and expectations. The more I have gotten to know him and his staff, the more I trust them to give everyone the best care possible. All of his staff is very friendly and positive. The only thing I would like to see different about Dr. Billy is that he "lighten up a little". I know the surgery is very serious and I have taken it very seriously, I just would like him to be more like his staff. I believe he thinks the aftercare is just as important, if not more important than the care before and during the hospital stay. He has "helpers" that come in and visit at the hospital and call after the surgery to see how you're doing and if you have any questions. These helpers are patients of his that are so happy with their success they want everyone's experience to be as great as theirs! I rate Dr. Billy and all his staff with a 10+++.

Wonderful man. Very thorough and expects you to be accountable for what you eat after surgery. Quite handsome too!

I love Dr. Billy. He is very thorough and competemt. I had no problems other than a stricture, which was due more to the fact I had a revision and have lots of scar tissue. He is very compassionate and spends time with me each visit and answers all my questions. I would definitely send anybody I know to him. I like him more now than before and I liked him then. His staff is very good and caring also. He is very Big on aftercare. In fact he believes it is essential to success in this endeavor.

i WENT TO AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING ON THE SURGERIES HE PERFORMED. HE WAS HONEST, INFORMATIONAL & HUMEROUS. WHILE NOT AN ESPECIALLY WARM DOCTOR AND CERTAINLY ONE WHO DOESN'T SPEND ANY EXTRA TIME WITH A PATIENT, I APPRECIATE HONESTY AND CAPABILITY MORE THAN PERSONALITY. EVERYWHERE I ASKED THERE WERE NOTHING BUT THE HIGHEST REGARDS FOR HIS WORK. HE IS VERY THOUROUGH IN ALL PRE-OP TESTING. I HAD TO JUMP THROUGH MULTIPLE HOOPS TO MAKE SURE I WAS WELL ENOUGH FOR THE SURGERY AND PATIENT DOES THE WORK OF SETTING APPOINTMENTS. IF YOU WANT SURGERY - YOU DO THE WORK. AFTERCARE HIGHLY EMPHASIZED - AND IT IS STATED A MILLION TIMES THAT SURGERY IS ONLY A TOOL NOT A CURE - YOU MUST DO THE WORK INCLUDING ALWAYS TAKING VITAMINS, DRINKING WATER, MANAGING HOW & WHAT YOU EAT. I WOULD RATE THIS DOCTOR AS A 10!

FOR ME SURGICAL COMPETENCE IS OF MAXIMUM IMPORTANCE - I DON'T WANT A FRIEND - I WANT SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING.
ONLY COMPLAINT IS I HAVE NEVER HAD ENOUGH TIME TO REALLY ASK ALL MY QUESTIONS HE IS ALWAYS VERY "BUSY". I WISH HE SCHEDULED A FEW MORE MINUTES WITH HIS PATIENTS.

AT LEAST 110% HE WILL NOT DO SURGERY IF HE BELIEVES YOU NEED MORE TIME TO EDUCATE YOURSELF.
