St. John's Bariatrics Bariatric Center
I haven't seen his yet. I have an appointment July 12th 2001.
I met with Dr. Billy, and I was very impressed with his attitud, and self confidence. He was NOT pushy or arrogant. I felt as though he really cares about helping to make the obese persons life one of normality.
I felt comfortable in his office. There is nothing I didn't like about him.
After care is very important to him, because if you have gone this far, you are his patient for life. Gave very good instructions for life at home after surgery.
Dr. Billy discussed all the risks, and the good things too. He leaves NOTHING out about anything.
I would say he is one of the very best in his field. He is all around great.
The only minor negative thing would be that he has to share office space with other Drs., but he is young, and just coming into his own practice. I still think he is wonderful!
Dr. Billy spent a great deal of time with me, he truly takes the time to explain WLS. He and Patricia are a great team to work with. They have taken care of everything, I just had to do the tests.
Dr. Billy is an extremely caring man, who is concerned about "me" the patient. I have asked a lot of questions and he went into detail each time to make sure I understood.
He has advised me to start eating a 1200 calorie a day plan, right now so I may be used to it after the surgery. He also has encouraged me to become friends with Tofu, since it will be one of the biggest sources of protein and I believe we need this after the surgery, so that we may heal more quickly. He has suggested I meet with a nutritionist, and I will.
He was very thorough in covering all the other ways to loose weight, besides WLS and that with all surgeries there are chances of complications.
I rate him TOPS, plus he is extremely handsome. I believe his surgical skills will be great and he has a wonderful bedside manner.
