Rocky Mountain Associated Physicians Bariatric Center
First impression? Sure is young........
His staff? pleasant and informative
He answered many of the questions that were concerning me and gave me an opportunity to ask him about any worry or concerns I had.
He hass a structured aftercare program and emphasized the importance of following it the first year.
I'll add more as time goes by
Dr. Simper is a great doctor. At first, he comes across as somewhat reserved and formal; but he is actually very personable. His knowledge is outstanding as is his commitment to bariatric surgery.
Rocky Mountain Associated Physician's overall care program is outstanding. They have done a very good job in building a support program around bariatric surgery.
My first impression of Dr. Simper was excellent. My friend at work assured me he is an excellent surgeon but stated his bedside manner lacked! I have met with him during a consult and actually found him to be very personable! ;0).
Please know that Dr. Simper is very professional. He is well versed! I can tell he is always reading and promoting bariatric surgery. He even mentioned to me he has gone to battle with insurance companies and employers to get funding for us to have surgery. Alot of insurers in utah do not cover this surgery.
Dr. Simper emphasizes after care and the importance of following the "program" and risks involved during the surgery.
I choose Dr. Simper because of the extensive experience of him and his partners. I haven't met him yet but will update then.
When I met Dr Simper it was at a pre-surgery education class. He was very patient with the long list of questions and answered them well. After surgery he visited both mornings. Very short and to the point visits. But I didnt choose him to be my friend. He is VERY experienced in this surgery and that gave me alot of comfort. After care is not optional. When you see him for surgery you have already paid for a support group after. Thier website is geared for post-op's. I would rate him excellent!
I really liked Dr. Simper. He seemed like such a caring man. My only complaint-while in the hospital I only saw him for about 30 seconds each visit.
I've been very pleased with Dr Simper. His staff is helpful and gets right back to me with answers to all my questions. He's polite and thorough during my visits.
When I was in the hospital he was stern about telling me to do my walking even though I was out walking far more than I had even been told to walk. Made me think that he expects his patients to not walk and that he was lecturing me without even looking to see what I had actually done. I didn't consider it any big deal.
That he was much nicer than his picture shows.
He is so kind - he was amazing when I developed numerous complications.
Sharp, but slow.
I have nothing I do not like.
Dr. Simper is ALWAYS there to help you. He's so into his patients he forgets that his staff has to schedule things. That sort of ticks the staff off.
He was very empathetic. He's done so many of these he completely understands. He ran so many tests on me and kept me in the hospital for a longer stay because I had no real place to go after surgery(I went out of state for it).
They told me all of the risks. Sadly, I was one of those 1% people.
He's a 9
Both are GREAT!
