MultiCare Rockwood Clinic Bariatric Center
Dr. Rawling is very confident and easy to talk to. He took his time to answer all of my questions.
My surgeons name was Dr Rawlins and I can not say enough about how he was as a surgeon. from the time I met him. Dr Rawlin bedside manner was great made me feel very comfortable right before surgery. Ihad never been thru a major surgery before and I couldnt ask for a better surgeon. Thanks Dr Rawlins
My first impression was \"he looks too young\". I have only met with him at my consult. Dr. Rawlins had a good sense of humor, was friendly and informative. He took his time with me to ask and answer questions. He was straightforward and honest. He didn't sugar coat the risks related to WLS. Very understanding of the struggles of a life time of dieting. He didn't make you feel rushed. He seems sincere and caring, not judgmental. rnrnHis office staff is very friendly. Carol has been extremely helpful. There was a period of time where I felt \"out of the loop\" not knowing what to expect or what to do next. One phone call to Carol and all questions were answered. rnrnI had heard that there was no aftercare program through this office. As I feel this is such an important part of WLS, I had concerns going in. In my experience it seems that aftercare is very important to the office. rnrnI suspect his bedside manner will be great... I can only pray that his surgical competence is outstanding!!! I'll update on both!rnrnSurgery went great. As expected, Dr. Rawlins had an outstanding bedside manner and sense of humor. He explained what happened during surgery to me and answered all my questions. rnrnVery disappointed with the hospital staff, specifically \"traveling nurses\" that were assigned as my RN for the shift. They didn't appear to have any knowledge of bariatrics. They provided inaccurate and conflicting information. Had I not been so well informed going into surgery, they could have done harm. rn
Very kind and personable. The staff was very easy going and yet you can tell right away they have your health and best interests at heart. The aftercare is very structured. He spoke honestly about the surgery risks and benifits and answered all our questions. I will write more after I have the surgery. rnrnI'm nearly a year post-op and I honestly have had little to do with Dr. Rawlins since surgery. I live 2 hours away from his office. I have seen him 3 times since surgery. He has been rushed and in a hurry everytime I see him. He is friendly and encouraging. He does not give a weight goal.. but wants his patients to concentrate on a healthy lifestyle above all things.rnrnThe day of my surgery he came and saw me. It was after 9pm by the time he got to see me. I found that very enduring. The fact that he came after a very busy day to check on me.rnrnHe did come and see me the day after as well and helped me understand some of the confusion between his NUT and the Hospital's NUT. They contradicted each other, and that was very frustrating to me. rnrnI have had no complications and would do this surgery again in a heart beat.rnrnThey have a support meeting one thursday a month, but because of the distance of my commute to the office, it is not possible for me to go to these. I've heard they are wonderful. I hope to make at least one sometime. :)rnrn
He is wonderful!!!
My first impression of Dr Rawlins was that he look so young. But I got past that feeling soon after the first visit. He is a very pleasant Dr. listens to you and answers all questions. The staff is very friendly. There was nothing that I did not like, my whole experience in their offe was very good. They make sure you are aware of all risks of surgery and how to take care of yourself after surgery and on each week following the proper schedule for eating different foods at what week. Many paper hand outs to read, which I liked very much, cause I can go back to them when I need. I can call the nurse and Dietitian at any time if I need them. Even though I live 2 hours away I feel that I still have their support and they are there for me when needed.
my surgeon is dr bright frm spokane and i just want to let others know that he is a very good doctor and hes very thorough! the office staff is awesome!! his bariatric coordinator carol peilli is amazing !!! i would recomend any future patients to really look into researching everything before going through with things and to not focus on stuff so much that you set yourself up for dissapointment later! i would rate dr bright 1-10 i would give him and his staff a 10 they are great! you know if i had to choose between bedside manner or sugical competence i would have to choose both but the latter would matter the most hey that rhymed lol !! thanks for reading my review and remember God bless you and remember you are awesome!!!
Dr. Rawlins is a wonderful man... not too bad on the eyes either. He has been so kind and sweet. Very informative too. rnrnThe office staff are very helpful and knowing, many of them have had the surgery and know what it intails. The only thing I have been frusterated about is that his scheduler is often 'out of the office' and I have been anxious to get a date for my surgery.rnrnDr. Rawlins is very concerned about his patients. He addressed all my concerns, requires that you attend a seminar that he and Dr. Bright hold before you set your first appointment. rnrnI'd rate him a 10 out of 10!
I love this man. He performed a hernia operation on me in 1998 and his bedside manner is tremendous. Was so excited that he is now the surgeon who performs the gastric bypass here in town.rnrnHis kind manner is just one of the great things about Dr. Bright. His office staff is awesome (thanks Carol). And he truly cares about his patients.
Dr. Bright is a very down to earth guy. rnHe didn't seem old enough to be a surgeon, but that just shows how old I am getting......rnHis staff was/is great and helpful.rnBoth his surgical competence and bedside manner were good. You can tell that he likes the challange of before surgery, more than the after stuff, but is still very good at all of it.
