MultiCare Rockwood Clinic Bariatric Center
This is my second surgery performed by Dr. Bright my first was an incisional hernia repair and of course my second was a Roux En Y Gastric Bypass. I wouldn't change surgeons for the world. This man loves what he does and cares for his patients. He is known as a perfectionist and he is also a Trauma surgeon. So when you get Dr. Bright I feel like you are getting one of the best surgeons you can come by. I recommend him to anyone looking into WLS or hernia repair.
He was happy & friendly.
My impression did not change, Dr. Bright made me feel comfortable and his knowledge put me at ease from the start.
The office staff is professional.
There is nothing that I liked least about Dr. Bright. He is a great Surgeon and I am very greatful to him.
Future patients should know that all of your questions will be answered and you will be taken care of by the best!
Dr. Bright came to see me everyday I was in the hospital and walked me through everything he was doing when he took out ne drain.
Yes, but not over the top. Patients are not hounded by the office staff after surgery. They have a great program.
As I stated above, Dr, Bright went over everything for me and answered all of my questions prior to surgery.
On a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate him a 12!
Both were outstanding!!
I strongly disagree with the statement below. I have NOTHING negative to say about my surgeon. Dr. Bright was great in every way, and for someone to say that there has to be a negative, well maybe they should've had my doctor!
When I first met Dr Spitz in his office he seemed to be a very nice man, very knowlegeable with a great bed side manner and a good sense of humor... I have had my surgery and all went well. Dr Spitz is a warm caring man that takes the time you need and answers all of your questions. He is very encouraging and makes you feel like you are very important.. I had a wonderful experience with him.
I had my surgery with Dr. Spitz on October 19, 2009. He is fantastic! Very down to earth and shoots straight from the hip.
I had to leave the hospital with my drain tube in because he felt I was still having a bit too much fluid drainage to take it out. When I returned to his office a couple of days later he was so nice. Answered all of my questions and made me feel like I was a person, not a number.
His staff is fantastic! I have not had one bad experience in the almost year that I've been dealing with them. They are always kind, professional and very prompt.
Rockwood holds a support group once a month. It is top notch!
I had previously went to another surgeon in the area and am sooooo happy that I decided to go with Dr. Spitz instead.
He has changed my life and for that, I will be forever grateful!
I am pre-op, so I can't give an overall impression yet- but so far I think Dr. Spitz is wonderful.
He was the doctor who presented at the info seminar. I really liked him. I could tell he was passionate about his work and truly wants to help people.
At my initial consultation with him, my impression was even better. This man has compassion! I really don't think he judged me about my weight. Actually, he really made me feel like I'd be a success. And who doesn't want to feel that way?
His office staff is fantastic! They respond very quickly to emails and totally GET that we are excited about this process and want to get it done YESTERDAY! My caseworker Chris is a sweetheart and a very competant lady. So far Rockwood Bariatric program, Dr. Spitz, and staff get an A+ from me!
Dr. Spitz is recently added to Spokane's Rockwood Clinic (a Center of Excellence!) and I met with him on April 13th, 2009. He made me feel right at home, and asked me some questions as to why I wanted WLS, what I expected, and what information I had already researched. He told me that he considered me to be an ideal candidate for WLS as I am relatively young, with only 2 medical problems (recently-diagnosed diabetes and high blood pressure, both most likely caused by my obesity), and that I was well-informed and knowledgeable about the RNY procedure. He said he felt confident that I could lose close to 100% of my excess weight. It was SO nice to feel validated, because I had been feeling the same thing - that I would be a good WLS patient.
I found Dr. Bright through a personal recommendation of a cooworker who had had RNY surgery performed by Dr. Bright. After scheduling an appointment and meeting with Dr. Bright and his staff I made the decision that if this surgery were to happedn for me it would be by Dr. Bright and his staff. I found them all to be comptent, professional, compassionate, and understanding. The office was and is run in a very effecient manner. They do not do everything for you but are involved in every aspect of what needs to be done. Lets face it if all you want to do is show up and its all done for you you are NOT ready for this procedure. You are primarily responsible for all of the decisions and actions that need to be made. Dr. Bright and his staff are their to assist you with that. WLS is not by anymeans a quick fix but rather a very effective tool to assist those of us who have difficulty managing our weight. Dr. Bright and his staff are constantly working on improvement of their practice through better communications, advanced education and staying current with relevant issues regarding WLS. There were no questions I or my spouse had that were not answered by Dr. Bright or his staff.
I know this shows my surgeon as being in Winfield, IL, but actually he is now in Spokane, Washington at Rockwood Clinic / Sacred Heart Hospital.
I met with my doctor and really liked him. He was extremely informative and patient with all my questions.
I went into the meeting with my mind set on the Lap Band. However, after learning more about gastric, I have decided to have the bypass.
I look forward to having Dr. Spitz as my surgeon.
