Robert V. McKeen, M.D. , F.A.C.S. Bariatric Center

I had the lap band surgery on 7-25-05. Dr. McKeen and assistant are just wonderful. I breezed thru the Surgery without complications. Done in out patient surgery center then stayed the night in near by MOTEL, then went home with Husband. 3 days later my esopegus swelled and I was unable to swallow my own spit. Called Dr. McKeen, after talking with me he recommended that I go to local Hospital, which I did. I went twice recieving IV's for dehydration. I have never had a MD by so caring and professional and available. I highly recommend Dr. McKeen to everyone I see. He is A # 1 in my book and I'm an RN. I have to cont. later

I loved Dr. Mckeen. He is very friendly and will always listen to your questions. My surgery went well and he was there before i went in to make sure i was doing ok. His assistant chris is also great. She is also always there when u need her. He never has to use floroscopy to find my port. he always gets it the first time. thats a big pluss. My mom also got banded the same day i did and she also loves dr, Mckeen.

Dr. McKeen at South Bay Bariatrics in San Jose, CA. is so wonderful! He has that mid-west mentality he is so compassionate and understanding. He will take as much time as you need to answer questions and fully explain things. The office staff is great and very easy to get ahold of, he also has a web site with e-mail for all office staff and after surgery tools for tracking weight loss , ect.

He was very up front with the risks and benefits of surgery and has seminars frequently on the differrent options.

Dr. McKeen has moved to San Jose, CA and works through Good Sam. He was dressed professionaly but toned down a little. He was very approachable and nice. I watched a video, then he talked with me. He drew diagrams and wanted to make sure I understood everything.

His nurse has been very kind and helpful.
