Dr. Williams was wonderful. I saw him at my pre-op appointment and he answered all my questions and put my mind at ease. His staff is wonderful, and they all know their jobs very well. If you want a top notch surgeon and a very professional well trained staff, I would highly recommend the HUP program and Dr. Williams. If you are looking for a surgeon who will be personally available to you at all times, this isn't the program for you, but I feel that Dr. Williams is a fantastic surgeon, and what he should be doing is surgery! His practitioners are well qualified to provide patient care as well.

So far so good. I was assigned Dr. Dumon as my insurance company will only cover surgery by him. I have only met him once but he was wonderful. Calm, sweet and very patient. He really took the time to answer my questions, was very comforting and not the least bit condescending.rnrnUpdate: Surgery completed and Dr. Dumon is the bomb! He was perfect from start to finish. So sweet and kind and caring. I didn't even feel as if I had surgery. He is a miracle worker.

He completed my surgery and I truly felt like I received great care from Dr. Williams and his team. The only problem I have is that I am 9 months post-op and I've never seen my doctor again. Every follow up office visit has been with the PA, NP and Nutrionist.

My first impression was that he was rushed around the office like crazy, but very nice.rnI like him very much he seems to have a really good rep with staff. I just wish he would have talked to me a little longer, because I didn't kow what to say at our first meeting even after the surgery. My after care info was stressed by the nutritionist no so much from the surgeon. He did address the risks with me but i already knew them. I would rate him very highly. He is very friendly but I feel that the practice is very busy and he runs around like a chicken to see everyone. He has surgical competence and that is what is more important. But if he has a nice bedside manner that makes you feel more confident in him. Nothing negative to say at all I am feeling great.

MY DOCTOR WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL, ENGAGING & INFORMATIVE, EXUDING TOTAL CONFIDENCE. HE ILLUSTRATED THE ENTIRE PROCEDURE TO MAKE CERTAIN THAT I KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WOULD BE DONE DETAILING ALL RISKS ALONG THE WAY. rnrnHIS STAFF WAS EXTREMELY EFFICIENT, SUPPORTIVE & EMPATHETIC -SHARING THE FEELINGS OF THEIR PATIENTS & OFFERING ENCOURAGEMENT THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS. rnrnTHE AFTERCARE IS ADDRESSED THROUGH MONTHLY MEETINGS OF BARIATRIC PATIENTS, BOTH PRE- & POST-OP.rnrnI RATE HIM AS \"EXCELLENT\". WHILE BOTH SURGICAL COMPETENCE & BEDSIDE MANNER ARE BOTH GREAT, SURGICAL COMPETENCE IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST. YOU DO NOT REALLY SEE THE DOCTOR DURING/AFTER SURGERY BECAUSE HIS SURGICAL TEAM IS VERY PROFICIENT IN PREPPING YOU FOR SURGERY & ACTUALLY OVERSEES YOUR FOLLOW-UP CARE WHILE IN THE HOSPITAL AFTER SURGERY.

I was impressed with Dr. Williams and his staff. They made you feel at ease as soon as you arrived in the office. Dr. Williams and his staff answered all my questions and treated me with the upmost respect .

Dr Williams is great.. First impression..well he was thorough. He immediately explained the process, the risks, then asked for questions. So far, I recommend him 100%

Very caring and informative. He knew his stuff and explained everything in great detail. His staff is excellent and takes care of everything. I feel like they are with me for the long haul.

I have not seen or met him yet. But i have researched him and all the folks that i have spoken with about this man are are WONDERFUL!!!I wil have a consult with him 4-9. He did not rush me off and let me take my time to ask the questions that I had lined up for him. I had heard great things about this Doc and his partner Dr Kirkland. I must say I was pleased with his answers, mannerism, and just general comfortness of the entire meeting. Denise who handles the billing was very straight forward and up front about timing of schedule surgery when she would be calling the insurance company and also when she would be handling my chart. I must say that i enjoyed everything about todays consult. rnrnJULY 8TH 2004rnI HAD MY SURGERY ONE YEAR AGO TODAY AND I MUST SAY THAT THRU THIS ENTIRE JOURNEY DR WERNISING'S KINDNESS, SUPPORT AND COMPASSION MADE THIS TRIP A WONDERFUL EXPEREINCE. I did and continue to do what doc said I should and I have lost and kept off 200 lbs.... I was 385. 400 pounds was not an option and so i was blessed with meeting Dr Wernsing. I have recommended him and still recommend him to those who want the surgery, If Dr. Wernsing ever need people for support on commercial I would beat everyon in the line to be first. I thank God everyday that he put me in place with this man who looks no more older than 20!!!(smile), but looks are decieving(sp). Don't let looks fool you. THIS MAN KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING! July 8yh, 2003 was when i had my surgery and 5 years later I have lost 200 lbs and have kept it off, doing what DR. Wernsin said to do. Good first impression of him. He's very down to earth and realistic. I've only seen him once, I'm seeing him again on Wednesday 7/9/08
