My first impression of Dr. Wernsing was that he was a little reserved but as I got to know him, I realized that this wasn't the case at all -- he's really normal, makes good conversation and in between that, manages to educate you about this extraordinary thing you are undertaking. He's very down to earth ---I feel like I can ask him anything and even when I don't expect him to know the inormation (like something about a post-op food) he usually surprises me with the answer (his nurse, Cindy, seems to know EVERYTHING though, so I'm never worried about getting the right info during my visits.) The only negative thing I have to say is the administrative staff can be rather terse, which was a little off-putting until I got used to it. I did however, like the efficiency of the office staff. Everything is very organized.
Dr. Wernsing is smart (that's very obvious) but more that that, he seems to really care and worry about his patients. And be warned: He WILL follow up with you post-op re: your diet/exercise, etc. so you'd better know your stuff. He doesn't let you get away with too much or make too many excuses. (I know--I tried!)
I would definitely recommend him.

What can I say about Dr. Schuricht, well he is awesome. He made me feel great from the first time I walked through the door. He is very honest about the surgery and make you fully understand that you are responsible for everything that happens to you post op. I had not gone to him in a year and he/his office reached out to me and they know what I was feeling and he enbraced me even though I gained 30 pounds in a year. He did not make me feel bad and he knows I can get to where I need to be, now I just need to figure I that I can do this. He is wonderful to talk to and he is down to earth and will answer your questions truthfully. he is also funny and will make you laugh which when you are making a decision like WLS some time you just need to laugh to get rid of some of the tension. As for his professional side he is great and he takes care of you, your body and your spirit. So I don't remember if I said he is AWESOME.

Dr Noel Williams and his staff are very professional and caring. They were wonderful. After meeting with him and doing the research and talking with patients that had previous surgery by him and his staff, I was full confident with my choice. It takes longer to meet with him and his staff but to have one of the best in country to do the surgery that is risky. You put your self in great hands.

i felt Dr. Schuricht was straight forward and down to earth, He makes you feel as if you are an individual. He made me feel as if he was not just concerned about me as just another patient but my personal well being as an individual.

The staff was very pleasant, patient, friendly and supportive.

I felt like Dr. Schuricht was just as planned on being a part of my aftercare success as he was of being a part of the surgery.

Dr. Schuricht was straight forward about what he expects and will accept as far as aftercare.

He didnt pull any punches when discussing risk vs. benefits he gave it to you just as it was without being arrogant or a jerk.

Overall i give Dr. Shurichts pre-op mannerism a 10.

Great person. he is real not just a dr. by the book. some one in the staff was difficult but eventually helped out quite a bit with the insurance. Surgery is tomorrow. I'll let you know more next week. (I hope)

I found Dr. Wernsing to be very confident, informative and easy mannered. I thought he talked to me like a peer rather than talked down to me, like I feel a number of health care professionals do. I have heard negative things about his office staff from others, but other than having a gruff phone manner, I found everyone at his office pleasant and efficient. I think Dr. Wernsing is a better choice for people who have already done tons of research, like I have. I don't know that someone who was unfamiliar with the process would have felt comfortable with him. I loved his approach to our consult. I thought it was efficient and I loved that they didn't rehash all of the info I'd already learned in my nutrition class and through my own research. I felt that there was a strong focus on after care. His staff provided tons of information on support groups in the area and councelors who specialize in treating post opperative cases. The risks of surgery were explained matter of factly, they were neither dwelt upon nor minimalized. I feel that he is a well rounded surgeon. His bedside manner was fabulous and he is a skilled surgeon.

Very knowledgeable and had the best small hands on such a talented man. I have a very high opinion of him. His staff well that is another story... I was a little irritated with staff on my two week follow up appointment. He was running late and they wanted to just see me and move me out. I did not appreciate that. I did not see him much in the hospital not like that is a problem. He does emphasize aftercare with the nutritionist since that is where most of our aftercare has to happen. They make you go to two support groups prior to surgery which I thought was a very good idea. He addressed all the risks of the surgery and well I was happy that there were no surprises. He is a real cutie too...what blue eyes! I rate him a 9. 10 is perfect but no one is perfect.
