Dr. Wernsing is very personable and knowledgable. I have been veery blessed to find such a nice and competant surgeon. All my questions befooore surgery and prior to surgery hae been answered in detail and in words that I can understand and relate to. I am still able to call his office and get questions answered by either himself or his staff. Dr. Wrrnsing and the Bariatricc team stress the importance of support before during and after and I find that the support group meetings are helpful and beneficial to my recovery both physically and mentally. Its important to have that support from others in the same situation. I freely give out Dr. Wernssing's name and number and highly recommend him to others contemplating surgery.

Dr Wernsing is a great fella.Very quiet and easygoing-I enjoyed all of the conversations and appts we had.
Felt he was extremely knowledgeable in this field and provided tons of information to me.He was very straightforward and honest about all the aspects of this surgery and I was very thankful for that.
I feel very fortunate to have such a great surgeon who I trust(and have trusted)with my life.

I first met with Dr. Wernsing on July 20, 2005. It was my inital appointment. There were about 5 or 6 of us that met as a group with the Nurse Practitioner and Dr Wernsing. After they both described the insurance part of it, how long it would take, and answered any questions, they took us back one at a time. First to the NP to discuss insurance and anything to do with my medical file and then to Dr. Wernsing who discussed medical problems and what typ eof surgery would be best. He then answered any personal questions that I had. He is a very nice doctor with excellent bedside manner, but is not one to beat around the bush and I like that. He gets straight to the point and listens to your concerns. He is a younger Dr. Older than me probably but he is an excellent doctor what I have observed so far. He knows his stuff so to speak. He went over the risks throughly! His office staff was nice, but then again I did not have much contact with any of them really. He really didn't emphasize aftercare at this point, but this was only the inital visit. i will see him once more before surgery. There was not anything that i didn't like about Dr. Wernsing, but then again I have only seen him once. I would rate him a 10 out of 10 so far and would recommend him to anyone that needed the surgery. I will post more as a find out more about him.

he is very nice, knowledgable about wls. his office staff is always nice to me but a little standoffish. i didn't see him after surgery at all- he told my husband i was fine and that was it. aftercare is very important.he was very honest with everything all info upfront. overall he is about an 8 my surgery was uneventful and my incision looks great. i prefer surgical competence overall-in the end i am not starting a personal relationship w/him i want him to be the best surgeon.

Dr Williams and his team are caring, thorough and have their patients interest at heart, always!

I can' think of one thing about Dr. Williams I don't like, he was wonderful!

Just do what the team tells you, come to support meetings and you will enjoy success!

If I had to say anything negative, it would be that you have to wait so long for an inital appointment, but it is well worth the wait! Use the time to research and come to support meetings!

First appointment made in May of 2001.

First appointment 12/18/01
First visit with Doctor Williams gave me confidence in him. He seems like a solid professional. He and his staff spent a lot of time with me on the first visit, they all seemed to take pride in what they do and seem to care about providing you with the answers to your questions.

Dr. Noah Williams is a superb surgeon at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania whom I highly recommend. I met with him in my initial consultation and then, again, during the time I was admitted in the hospital. His program is comprehensive and he errs on the side of caution. I meet with his nurses during my office visits, and they have always exhibited extreme competence. The same is true with the dieticians. There is a monthly support group meeting staffed by nurses and dieticians and the usual attendence appears to be 100+ people.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Williams to anyone interested in the surgery. His surgical competence is without equal, his bedside manner is warm and patient.

Keep in mind, however, that Dr. Williams is extremely busy. My first post surgery follow up office visit was with his very competent nurse who efficiently and painlessly removed my drainage tube.

Being a nurse, I don't care much about bedside manners, as long as the technical care is the best. In Dr. Schuricht, you get both. He is very personable, very down-to-earth. But also no BS, which is what I deal with best. He took care of 5 people I knew, who all had wonderful results from the sugery, so he I knew he was technically compitent as well. He never talks down to people, no matter how little knowledge you have of the procedure. He is perfect.

My surgery is over and it was a wonderful experience. Dr. Korus is caring and kind. He called the night before surgery, visited several times during my stay and called me at home the day after my release to see how things were. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone comtemplating WLS.

I have met Dr. Korus on several occasions now since my first visit in October. He is still a person who puts one at ease and he is very, very thorough in preparing you for things to come! He is very patient with all questions you may have...he really understands that this is a new experience for each patient even though it is something that he and his staff are used to dealing with everyday! I would recommend him to anyone considering WLS.

I met Dr. Korus today. He is really nice and I felt very comfortable while speaking with him. Everyone in his office is very helpful, especially Debbie. I am looking forward to working with everyone there towards my goals.
