Prisma Health Wt Management Ctr Columbia Bariatric Center
My first impression of Dr. Prickett is that he was a soft spoken man. Well, he is but not when it comes to telling you what to do. He is direct. I love about him is that he wants to meet your support people. He spent extra time listening to my husband's concerns. He could see immediately that my DH needed additional assurances. I love the staff but you need to make sure you follow up on things. They have a lot of patients and sometimes appts and whatnot get delayed if you don't keep on top. He has a very structured aftercare program. So far I have been so happy with him. I would rate him as excellent. Both his bedside manner and his surgical competence are great. He spent a lot of time taking a very diseased gallbladder out laproscopically. He is just the greatest. I would say for myself, I should have picked a better surgery date, so that I was in the hospital over the week rather than the weekend. I just would have felt more comfortable with care from Dr. Prickett than the on call physician at the hospital.
My first impression of Dr. Prickett was good. He came across competent but also compassionate. I got the general feeling that the he and his staff were excited about giving people this oportunity to change their lives. My impression has stayed the same.
I am a very laid back easy going person. So I usually go with my gut instinct. Dr. Prickett noticed my necklace I had on at my first appointment with me. I told him it was a prayer box. He then told me that he prays for all his patients. I felt so much better.
The Weight Management Program really emphasize the risk of the surgery and the aftercare. From the first minute until now they are concerned about me knowing the risk and my responsibilities. I would rate him ***** (5 stars). It is a first class operation. I have been fortunate so far. No problems with my recovery.
There was a mixup at the time of my surgery.
I was given an early time to show up but my surgery was scheduled much later. My nerves got the better of me. Once I saw Dr.Prickett he made me feel better, him and the good drugs. (smile).
Overall I am very pleased with the medical care I have recieved and am recieving.
Dr. Tribble is a caring and compassionate surgeon with extraodinary skills. I am truly impressed by the way he nutures is WLS patients. The whole program and staff are wonderful. They approach WLS from a wholistic perspective and that is refreshing. Mind and body are both addressed. The aftercare support groups and exercise classes that accompany Dr. Tribbles surgical practice are phenomenal. I would rate Dr. Tribble 11 out of 10!
This is my own personal opinion and the things that I have experienced with Dr. Ben Tribble.
My first impression of Dr. Tribble was that he is too young and too good looking to be a dr., but most of all that he has a big heart and a lot of concern for his patients. My impression has not changed much for him except that he is one of the greatest surgeons that I have ever met! His office staff are very friendly and always full of smiles and a warm welcome at every visit. I like every single thing about Dr. Tribble! Future patients should know that he is straight forward. I don't think that I have left his office with any questions unheard or unanswered. He informed me of the before and afters of surgery, to include the risks involved. Dr. Tribble's office has an awesome structured aftercare program and I rate him as being TOP on my list of Dr.'s WAY TO GO BEN! Your surgical competence and bedside manner are both excellent! Thank you for all that you and your staff have done for me!
When I first meet Dr.Prickett, He gave me such a warm feeling about him and his staff, that they really care about there patient. The staff was great!!!!!! I asked so many questions, I know that they where tired of me. But they never showed any different feelings. At this time I really dont have any bad to say about my doctor or his staff and I hope I never would. He is a very nice man and I would tell anyone to go see for yourself. When it came to letting me know that I could Die.... He said it over, over, over again to make sure that I was aware of the side effects. And I thank God for my doctor.
I went to the seminar with a co-worker, who is also obese ,in Sept.2004 at Baptist in Columbia, South Carolina. I was really surprised to see people just like me there.I was kinda expecting to see all extremely super obese people, really only saw two people that fit that description, but it was because they suffered from lymphoedema. It was informative and Dr. Tribble spoke and answered questions. He seemed very soft spoken and very likable. He spoke quite elegantly about his favorite patient who was now an athlete running marathons. We all filled out questionaires and were told the staff would be contacting us regarding our first ofice visit. I was contacted about a week and a half later with an appointment for 10/12 which was the day before my 37th birthday.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Tribble and his entire staff. Very thorough and caring. My insruance would only cover in 2004. The office got my approval Dec 23 at 4:30 pm (the Thursday before Christmas, and I had my surgery Dec. 28 - the following Tuesday. Dr. Tribble said he wanted to do whatever it took to get me in there - and he and his staff made it happen.
Dr. Prickett was very informative and seems very detailed. The office staff was extremely helpful and compassionate. The staff handed out information on the surgery, that let me know exactly what to expect before and after my surgery. The doctor and staff went over every aspect of the information with me. So far, I would highly recommend them.
