DR.GOYAL WAS REFERRED TO ME BY A PATIENT OF HIS,SHE WAS AN OLD HIGH SCHOOL FRIEND OF MINES. SHE TOLD ABOUT HER WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE WITH DR.GOYAL AND HIS STAFF AND HOW IT CHANGED HER LIFE. I DECIDED THEN TO DO SOME RESEARCH ON HIM. EVERYONE HAD POSTIVE THINGS TO SAY.THATS WHEN I MADE THE FIRST ETTEMPT TO TO TRY TO GET MY LIFE BACK.I WENT TO ONE OF HIS PATIENT SEMINAR EVRYTHING WAS BROKEN DOWN IN A WAY EVERYONE COULD UNDERSTAND ALL THE PROS AND CONS OF WEIGHT LOST SURGERY AND HOW IT WILL BETTER YOUR LIFE ,THATS WHEN I SAID I WANT TO GO FOR IT AND THIS IS FOR ME.MYFIRST APPT. I WAS A LITTLE NERVOUS BUT THE STAFF MADE ME FEEL SO COMFORTABLE AND THAT MADE ME FEEL AT EASE. DR .GOYAL IS A GREAT DOCTOR BEFORE AND AFTER SURGERY HE WAS WONDERFUL.I HAVE NO NEGATIVE THING TO SAY ABOUT HIM AND HIS STAFF.
She is a personable young lady who knows the struggle; she's lost weight herself outside of WLS. She is a helpful person and compassionate.
I'm glad I met her.
I felt Dr. Goyal was a nice person. He made me feel very comfortable after talking to me about my surgery.
He seemed to be caring about how I felt after my surgery and my progress.
Everyone was very nice, especially his Assistant, Mr. James Houston.
The thing that I liked least about Dr. Goyal is that neither he nor a member of his staff came to the Hospital Waiting Room to speak with my family after my surgery. No one let them know that I was done or how the surgery went.
The thing that future patients should know about Dr. Goyal is that he is truly concerned about his patients' health and desire to lose weight. He is very patient in explaining the procedure and answering questions.
Dr. Goyal places strong emphasis on aftercare in regard to exercise and proper eating habits.
He has a structured aftercare program which includes a support group.
Dr. Goyal thoroughly explained to me and my sister the risks associated with surgery.
After reviewing Dr. Goyal's profile, I felt comfortable with his credentials and skills and felt he was the best doctor for me.
Both are important.
My first impression of Dr. Goyal was "oh he is very Cute". He is a very handsome and young surgeon. Of course once we were done speaking and he explained all there is to know about WLS I knew I wanted him to do my surgery. I had researched many surgeons before him and actually went to him because a friend of mine (estrella, love ya girl!) told me about him. His Current staff is pretty good. They are always nice when you call. Cinthya (one of Dr.goyals assistants) is very nice and down to earth! Dr.Goyal lets you know from day one the risks involved with this surgery as well as the benefits of it. The day of surgery i was a bit nervous and seeing him in his scrubs ready to cut me open i thought " I trust him" Dr. Goyal went to see me everyday at the hospital (i was there for 4 days) and always calls back when you page him. His assitant Cinthya even called me at the hospital to see how i was doing! I have no regrets of having this surgery done by Dr. Goyal and have actually already recommened him to my sister. (thats how much i trust him)
I was impressed with his knowledge, his experience, his attentiveness toward me and the other potential patients, his good looks and personality. Dr. Goyal made me feel comfortable and that the decision I made is for the rest of my life and not to abuse it. My impression changed to be more fonder of my doctor and to thank him more and more. The staff are very nice and concerned to their patients. Very friendly which is very important. And, they work with you regarding the insurance matters, if any. Future patients will be very pleased on their first visit with Dr. Goyal and his staff from the office to the medical staff in the hospital. The risks and aftercare stem from Dr. Goyal, in my experience. On a scale of 1 to 100 they are all above a 100. Both are great.
My first thought was "OH MY GOD! HE LOOKS LIKE MY EX-HUSBAND!" He was young and dressed very nice. I hope he knows what he is doing. This was all before he even spoke one word. After my first office visit, everything changed. I saw and knew he was a good surgeon. He had complete knowledge and I felt confident he was the Surgeon to preform my surgery. His staff was the best, I did not have to do anything with the insurance company, they took care of it all! They were prompt in answering all my questions. I have not one thing to comment regarding this..He is great! He is a perfectionist, and I would not want nothing less operating on me. He has excellent after care ... he has support group meetings every month, and keeps you informed of web sites like this. The risks were explained completely, and I had no fear at all going into this ALL my questions were answered.
I can say nothing less than he is a great surgeon and I have recommended him to friends.
Dr. Goyal gave me a great first impression. He seemed genuinely concerned, he answered all my questions, never rushing me & took his time making sure I understood every aspect of the surgery. My feelings towards the doctor & staff only got better over time. They were very helpful. I went through a difficult time after the surgery due to the day after I came home from the hospital, my mother passed away from a long-term illness. I hurt myself getting into the car on the day I buried my mother. I called the doctor's office, got an emergency appointment & went for xrays to make sure everything was ok-which it was-only a pulled muscle. The point is the quality of care is excellent. He always makes me feel that he truly cares about his patients. I feel that Dr. Goyal has the best of both worlds, he is an excellent surgeon and has an incredible bedside manner. His support group meetings every third tuesday of the month are strongly recommended by both him & his staff. I go and am always glad I did. The only unpleasant aspect of the surgery was that I was not given pain medication to go home with. I don't think the amount of pain that you are in is completely understood due to everyone having a different tolerance to pain. However, when I pulled my muscle, he did prescribe pain meds.
Dr. Goyal is one of the best bariatric surgeons around. I'd heard of him from other people who'd had the surgery and it was all good. His staff is the best Miriam, Dawn and James. They go the extra mile and help you every step of the way. The pre and post-operative care was truly personalized. There are pre surgery seminars which answers a lot of questions as weel as monthly support group meetings. If anyone is considering bypass or banding I'd wholly recommend Dr. Goyal.
AT FIRST I THOUGHT HE WAS WAY TO SERIOUS !
AS TIME WENT ON DURING THE PROCESS, I WAS AMAZED AT HOW MUCH HE CARED ABOUT MY SAFETY,AND WAS NOT JUST INTERESTED IN RUSHING
INTO SURGERY.
HE RECENTLY MOVED IN TO A LARGER OFFICE WITH
ACCESSABILITY FOR PEOPLE WITH PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS. HIS STAFF ARE ALL FRIENDLY, AND
MAKE YOU FEEL AT EASE. THEY ARE VERY HELPFUL
WITH THE PRE-SURGERY AS WELL AS POST SURGERY
PROCESS.
I COULD NEVER SAY ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT DR. GOYAL, AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED,HE GAVE
ME A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE. ALWAYS ENCOURAGING, SUPPORTIVE AND JUST PLAIN KIND. DR. GOYAL HAS A GREAT SUPPORT GROUP THAT MEETS ONCE A MONTH. HE ATTENDS, AS WELL AS A NUTRITIONIST AND A PSYCHOLOGIST. IT HELPS
TO GET TO KNOW OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE GONE
THROUGH THE SURGERY TOO.
BEFORE SURGERY, EVERYTHING IS EXPLAINED IN
DETAIL, FROM THE BIGGEST TO THE SMALLEST RISK. I WENT INTO SURGERY WITH OPEN EYES,
BUT GREAT CONFIDENCE THAT IT WOULD TURN OUT WELL. I WENT TO THE OR THAT DAY WITH PEACE OF MIND THAT ONLY A GOOD, KIND AND COMPETANT SURGEON COULD IMPART. I COULD NOT IMAGINE ANY ONE ELSE DOING SURGERY ON ME BUT HIM. I AM A NURSE WHO HAS WORKED WITH MANY DOCTORS OVER THE PAST 30 YEARS, AND HAVE NEVER SEEN A SURGEON WHO FOLLOWED HIS PATIENTS PRE AND POST OP LIKE HIM. I DON'T THINK I WOULD HAVE DONE AS WELL AS I DID IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR DR. GOYAL. HE TRULY CARES ABOUT ALL OF US, AND PURELY BY HIS ACTIONS LETS US KNOW IT.
My first impression was that he looks quite young (also good looking) but after talking to him, I realized he is extremely bright, thorough and truly concerned about his patients. He takes his job seriously and truly cares about his patients well-being. I have grown to know him and he is definitely my favorite doctor! He has really helped me so much and for that I am eternally grateful. His office staff is wonderful. They are a pleasant bunch of people and worked hard with my insurance company. I would definitely recommend Dr. Goyal to anyone in my area searching for a good surgeon. Aftercare is just as important as the precare and he wants to know everything that is going on day or night. He offers support groups and follow-ups and checks up on his patients periodicaly to make sure everything is ok. Dr. Goyal is very upfront with the risks of surgery and does not take it lightly. He makes sure you understand the information before you leave the office. Overall, I would recommend him to anyone considering having this surgery. Aside from him being surgicaly competent, he needs just a smidge more humor, he's a little stiff. Other then that I wouldn't change a thing!
