Meridian Surgical Group Bariatric Center
My first impression of Dr Evanson is that he could be Chris Katan's (SNL guy) brother. I think he's cute for a Christ Katan look-alike. He was very informative and open to any questions I had during my one on one. I am happy with my choice of dr. He is young, but knows his stuff. Also, when his staff talks about him, you know that they enjoy working with him and know he does good work.
I really liked Dr. Inman from the beginning and I liked her even more over time. Her office staff was very friendly but sometimes they would take a while to get back to you. If I had to pick one thing that I didn't like as well is that she moves pretty fast through your visit, but I work in the medical field and that is pretty typical of surgeons. ( -: She is very knowledgeable and has years of experience and will make you feel comfortable about the surgery. Her aftercare is with St. Vincent's and they have a wonderful program. She addressed the pros and cons of surgery thoroughly and I would rate her a 9 or 10 overall. I think bedside manner is great, but between the two surgical competence would have to be first. Dr. Inman has both, she's a very upbeat person and her reputation speaks for itself.
I love Dr. Evanson. He's cute and enthusiastic. He seems to get a lot of joy from what he is able to do for obese people. I felt I was well prepared for surgery, and I'm prepared for my new life. I received fantastic care in the hospital, and was pleased to know that several of the nurses had gone through bariatric surgery also. I give Dr. Evanson and St. Vincent's Bariatric Center of Excellence a double thumbs up!!!
I had a good first impression of Dr. Inman. She seems to be very no nonsense. She is not one to cuddle a patient. She will tell you straight out what's going on. I like that. She seems to have a dry sense of humor. rnThe staff seems okay. Don't feel like I can give an acurate acounting at this point.
Dr. Evanson is wonderful. He always has time for questions, and his nurse Karen returns calls usually the same day for questions or concerns. I have had no health problems until recently, and not sure if those are related to my RNY. However, Dr, Evanson is taking my problems very seriously and I feel confident in his ability to resolve my issues. I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone considering this operation to change thier lives for the better.
Dr. Inman impressed me as being a very caring and knowledgable surgeon. She is very intense in her approach. Very no-nonsense. I like that.rnShe takes the time to fully answer your questions, but doesn't waste time for chit chat.rnHer pre-operative tests are very comprehensive. I felt very comfortable knowing that Dr. Inman was doing my surgery.rnMy only surprise along the way was that I had gall stones and my gallbladder was to be removed at the time of my RNY. I was not aware of the results of the gallbladder ultrasound. I didn't know about this additional procedure until just a couple of minutes before going into surgery.rnHer office staff has been very responsive and caring also.rnI would highly recommend Dr. Inman to anyone desiring RNY in the Indy area.
Dr. Evanson was my surgeon for LapBand surgery in late October. I found him to be very knowledgeable, and easy to talk with. He was very willing to answer all questions that I asked and encouraged me to call his office if I had questions at a later time.rnrnHe was very good to present both the possible benefits as well as the risks associated with the surgery. He has a structured aftercare program and was very thorough in explaining his reasoning for the timeframes he recommends for fills. rnrnI would highly recommend him. The only downside I had was the length of time it took for his office personnel to work through scheduling of the surgery. It was a little frustrating waiting for return phone calls - which could take a few days. However, it is a very busy office, so this was not unexpected.
I went for my consultation with Dr. Evanson on Sept. 18, I pretty much knew what to expect because I went to him about 3 years ago. When Dr. Evanson started the consult I thought to myself he is even thinner than he was the last time, but still the same caring doctor. Dr. Evanson answered any question that was asked and didn't make you feel like it was a dumb question. When I saw him in the one on one visit I was amazed that he had remembered my face from 3 years ago. The office staff at the St. Vincent Carmel hospital were nice, and that is pretty rare these days. I would recommend Dr. Evanson to anyone, he is a doctor that really cares about his patients.
