My First Impressino of Dr. Julite Lee,GREAT BEDSIDE manner. I felt this way consistently. Her Staff members were out standing, introducting me to some staff that had the GB, giving me good tips. Dr. Lee, is very people oriented. No question is dumb, your feelings are considered, and most important, she explains everything if you do not understand. After care is greatly encouraged. She addressed the risk in depth. If there was a grade higher than A, she would get it.

Dr. Lin is very respectful of the body, and therefore, his patients do very well as the body has been treated so gently during surgery. He is part of a fantastic team of nurse practitioner and nutritionist who are realistic and very supportive. He was very honest upfront about what my realistic expectations would be and making sure I knew going in what my best result would be post op. He is affiliated with George Washington Hospital, and comes with the residents and medical students of the program, who were all fantastic, and great to have as a resource during the day when the surgeon wasn't available. I received supurb care from all!

I met Dr. Lin, back in the fall of 2006. Then you had to sit in this room and watch a video about the surgery before you met him. I was nice then, very knowledgeable. He was very blunt also, making it very clear that realistically, I wouldn't be able to lose 100 lbs and keep it off; which I agreed. Due to a pregnancy I didn't go through with the procedure at this time. Fast forward to now. rnrnI had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Lin on 10/5/09, very personable as ususal and made me feel even more comfortable. He assured me that I would do fine in surgery, and that hopefully my paperwork process would be expedited. rnrnAll in all, I really like him, and would recommend him to other people. I learned in the informational session prior to seeing him, that he handles most of the \"high risk\" cases. I'm not high risk, but I'm glad he handles that in case something comes up.

My first impression of Dr. Lee was that she was very detail oriented. On April 20th, I was in the office for 2.5 hours and spoke to her nurse for an extended time. It was a difficult meeting. All of the classes and support groups did not prepare me for that day. I definitely felt that I was initially an \"outsider\" due to my relationship with Kaiser Health professionals versus \"her team\". Not that I am blaming her but we did not have the same relationship that she is able to develop over an extended indoctrination period. She had to get to know me in a very short time. I think this was my personal impression because of my unreasonable expectations. I had no idea it would take 8 weeks to get operated on. I expected to be scheduled for surgery that day only to hear that I needed to go on a liquid diet for an extended time until I could lose another 20 pounds. I know others who experience was not like mine and I was so discouraged but I did not give up. rnrnI appreciated her attention to safety and her commitment to do what is best for the patient. My biggest confusion came from the discrepancies between recommendations from her nurse, information from classes, and her recommendations. Even in the hospital, the nurse was telling me to drink one ounce the first hour and two the next. Dr. Lee told me to drink one ounce for several hours until I was comfortable and then move to two ounces at a time. Similarly, in the office, when I was graduating to soft foods, her nurse was upset that I had eaten mashed potatoes and oatmeal. Both had been recommended by Dr. Lee.rnrnAll of that being said, I cannot be more pleased with the surgery Dr. Lee performed. I have 4 very small incisions that have healed very well. Dr. Lee was both professional and personable after the surgery. I would recommend her without reservation if you are considering weight loss surgery.rn

Dr Lee was great. She took her time with me. She answered all of my questions. She was so informative. I really fealt at ease with her. She took the time to really go over her before and after care program which is very interactive. Her office staf are very inviting. They let you know over and over that they are here for you. I feel I've hade the right choice in Dr Lee.

I have been very impressed and pleased with the care provided by Dr. Lee. She has been very thorough in describing the risks and benefits of surgery. She and her staff are always very willing to answer any questions, and are encouraging about calling if you have any concerns or worries. Dr. Lee is very careful and makes every effort to see that there are no complications following surgery and that if there are any, they are detected early. Dr. Lee's was very clear on what I needed to do following surgery, including frequency of post-op appointments, support group meetings, and adherence to the prescribed diet. I really don't have any negative comments.
