When I first met Dr. Dabideen he seemed very polished, very business-like. I told him that my PCP didn't "approve" of bariatric surgery. I also told him that my PCP equated it to having an abortion. Dr. Dabideen said, "Why because your killing fat?" I laughed so hard. He smiled. He seemed very personable for a surgeon. I am not looking for a song and dance, I want a good surgeon but a man with a sense of humor goes a long way.

I am still getting through tests, I have my last one tonight...the dreaded sleep study. I am NOT looking forward to this. Once that is done, I have two pieces of paper to get and they will schedule my surgery date. I will let you know more about my surgeone as I go along.

Dr Dabideen was an awesome surgeon, completing my surgery 12/17/03 in under an hour including an umbilical hernia repair. What a fantastic professional. He came by to see me at the end of a VERY LONG day to check on how I was doing. Very kind and considerate and very competent yet humble. He does not "show an attitude" and is very caring. You won't be in better hands than with him. I am thrilled and have lost 165 pounds. He is all that everyone said and more. I owe him my life and I will be forever grateful.

Dr. Pesta was ALOT younger than I had thought, looked alot different than his profile picture.

He was very informative and very caring. I felt a feeling of warmth and security in having him as my surgeon.

His staff was attentive and caring.
He stressed aftercare and also that this is just a tool.

He addressed the many risks of surgery and when we met one on one looked me straight in the eye and said " I will take good care of you!" I was sold.

I believe surgical competence is much more important than bedside manner, however, in choosing Dr. Pesta I have both.

Dr. Dabideen seemed like a very caring and knowledgable surgeon. He is soft spoken but exudes confidence. As time has gone on I have learned more about Dr. Dabideen from his patients. I have not heard anything but good things about Dr. Dabideen and his caring manner.

The Office staff at Hurley Center for Comprehensive Weight Loss seemed very friendly and were more than happy to answer any questions that I had. They really seemed knowledgable and concerned about my health and welfare.

There was nothing that I didn't like about Dr. Dabideen. I think his future patients should know that he is also the head of the trama center at Hurley, which lets me know that he would be prepared for any problems that might occur with the procedure.

Hurley does strongly emphasize aftercare (it can make the difference between success and failure). I'm not familiar with their aftercare program, but I do hear from other patients that it is helpful and comprehensive.

Dr. Dabideen did alert me to the risks of the surgery (afterall each person is different).

As far as I am concerned I have complete confidence in Dr. Dabideen and his team.

I think a well rounded doctor should possess both a good bedside manner and excellent surgical competence. I feel that Dr. Dabideen possesses both of these necessary qualities.

These impressions that I have about Dr. Dabideen are strictly my own impressions. I have met him only once so far, and have no really negative things to say about the center thus far.

Dr Dabideen is very thorough. He was very nice and took time to explain everything to my husband and I. I did feel that my initial consultation was a little scary, as he was very real and did not sugar coar anything! I have only seen him for my initial consult, and was a little dismayed that in their system, they have to make special arrangments if you want to have another visit. Instead, I went to my PCP, Dr Kiran (THE BEST!!!) and he made me feel so much better!

I feel that the aftercare program seems very doable! Also, they have a great staff of dieticians, nurses, and support groups, to help make this journey successful!

I was immediately impressed by Dr. Zubin Bhesania when he spoke at an informational seminar at Port Huron, and I have not been disappointed at all since. He is very friendly and genuinely concerned about me as a person.

The entire staff at Port Huron is compassionate and knowledgeable.... I cannot think of even one negative thing to say about my experience with them so far.

Dr. Bhesania stresses the importance of follow-up care and how important it is to weight-loss success. The entire process is very structured from pre-op to up to a year post-op and the staff is there to guide each patient all along the way.

The risks of undergoing a surgical procedure was never down-played... it was explained more than once that although the gastric banding is less traumatic than other forms of WLS, it is still surgery and therefore carries risks.

Dr. Pesta and his staff are the best. I would recommend him to anyone. Everything has been real smooth so far.

I loved my surgeon. He explained the procedure very well to me. I felt as if he really cared. He was always available when I had to ask a question. I could not have had a more supportive doctor. The staff at he office as well as the hospital was very thorough.

I really like Dr. Bhesania and his staff. They have a well organized system for pre and postcare, seemslikethey have everything covered.
They review the risks of surgery at the required informational seminar and are very upfront.
He's the best doctor I ever had lapband surgery from :)!

Dr. Pesta is a WONDERFUL surgeon!!! He is very friendly and caring! Couldn't Be Better!

My first impression of him was like all the other's, "OMG He is so young!!!" He is VERY confident and I am happy that I stayed with my decision to go with him!

His staff are wonderful and very accommodating. EXCELLENT Bedside Manner!

I had several questions the first few months after surgery. Every time I called his office he was quick to return the calls! Even when he wasn't in the office and after hours, he promptly returned my calls. VERY HELPFUL!

I am very pleased with his abilities and talents. I would recommend him to anyone in the Detroit area!!! I LOVE this Man!

HE HAS GIVEN ME THE CHANCE TO LIVE AGAIN!!!

~Thank You Dr. Pesta! God Bless You!!!! ~
