Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery Institute, P.C. Bariatric Center
Dr. Williams is a fantastic surgeon. I had my laparoscopic gastric sleeve done on 7/19/2018. The surgery was quick, with minimal pain with no complications. I was self-pay so I didn’t have a lot of pre-surgery doctors and meetings to go through. Dr. Williams’ office staff is and was very professional. All of my questions were answered by Dr. Williams and his staff. Dr. Williams consulted with me to help me pick the best surgery choice for me. I was provided very detailed instructions before surgery about the food plan and vitamins. His Johns Creek office was very easy to reach before and after surgery. While at the office, I met several other clients who were achieving their their weight loss and health goals with both gastric sleeve and gastric bypass. They highly recommended Dr. Williams. They said they would do it all again. I’m glad I chose Dr. Williams to be my surgeon. He had a great bedside manner the day of surgery. The surgery center at Emory Johns was wonderful as well. I was called a few days after surgery by the office to see how I was doing. I’m very pleased. I have already dropped 15 pounds since my surgery last week.
Zero stars.
Utterly unprofessional staff. Very rude. Answers not answered, phone calls not returned, complaints not answered/dealt with. "Office Manager" said she would email me back to address repeated problems and concerns...that was 2+ months ago. ZERO follow up/care. I feel this office is only concerned about making a buck. Dr Williams is pleasant, but seems unable to deal with horrific office staff (as he is in surgery 2-3 days a week (often arriving in scrubs) why should he care? His office has gotten my gender, surgery and name wrong repeatedly. I have genuine concerns about patient records privacy.
The surgeon seemed more proud of my weight loss (what a great job he did!) than my concerns. The info I got was...minimal (go to the facebook groups for better info!).
Oh, when doing a procedure to fix scarring from the gastric bypass- that is NOT the time to take a cheap shot at a patient.
--update, he has added a THIRD office. Ka-Ching!!! So his 'staff' sits there all day, while he is out of the office now 3? days a week, what they do all day, boggles the mind. They certainly are not busy answering emails or returning phone calls (assuming they can get the patients gender, surgery or name correct. Dr W- yes, you are reading these. What are you going to do to correct the problems? Hmmm?

OMG, Dr. Williams bedside manner was great. His office staff very informative. If I had it to do all over again I would with them I the blink of an eye.

Selecting Dr. Williams as my bariatric surgeon was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Dr. Williams (and staff) has held my hand the entire time, answering all my questions and providing encouragement as I adjust to my new lifestyle. He and his staff are extremely accessible and take the time to make you feel like an individual rather than a number. Janet, the on-staff nurse, has been my voice of reason over the last 9 months and often calls to check up on me. I am 9 months post-op and have lost 115 lbs. I've gone from a size 22 to a size 10, reducing and/or eliminating medications as I go. Each time I see Dr. Williams and members of his practice they cheer me on and make me feel even better about the decision I was already overjoyed about!
