Dr. Ben-Meir was wonderful! I would highly recommend him to potential surgery candidates. The office staff are very caring.

rnHe is what i would describe as a \"good guy\" total geek (good quality for a physician). just arrogant enough as a surgeon. Very easy to speak with. Seems quite intuitive with his answers to your questions. His staff respects him ad are a reflection of him, i don't think he would allow any less. He doesn't coddle you. Lets you know he will do hes best but expects it of you as well. I would recommend him and choose him again if i had to. rnI believe he runs the best program in north east Ohio.rnYou can tell he wants to have the best program and knows that it takes excellence and a group that understands that nothing else will be accepted. rnHe is a good man, and thorough. rn

2004 - Cleveland Center for Bariatric Surgery has an excellent record & are pioneers in their field. Dr. Aviv Ben-Meir has a reputation for being very good at his job (laproscopic).rnrn2010 - Still very pleased with the job Dr. Aviv Ben-Meir did.

I first went to a seminar hosted by Dr. Ben-Meir, he seemed very knowlageable.I then had my scheduled appt. with him. He was very nice,and the office staff was very friendly.I didn't really know which surgery I wanted, and he gave his opinion as to which he preferred, I'm happy with his choice.One reason I chose him is he has a wonderful record and he's been doing this type of surgery for longer than anyone else around.

I can not say enough positive about Dr. Ben-Meir. He has a very caring, compassionate attititude but is extremely knowledgable and skilled in his profession. My opinion of him has only elevated since surgery. I had great confidence in him preoperatively and have found that to be well placed confidence now. During your initial visit, you watch a video that covers everything you need to know about the surgery, preop and postop care, lifestyle changes necessary for success and the risks associated witht the surgery. During your visit with the Dr, he then reviews all this information and answers any questions that you may have on it. The office was very helpful in getting all of my paper work submitted, approval obtained, and in keeping me informed of my progress. They have been very good at returning my calls when I have had questions, concerns or problems. The aftercare program is wonderful and Dr Ben-Meir stresses from the initial consultation through your post op appt's the need to follow the rules, keep follow up appt's with his office and your PCP. In my initial appt he said that this surgery is not a cure or a magic fix, but a really good tool. You can use this tool very effectively, or you can abuse it or ignore it and it will not work. That has really stuck with me. I work with many physicians on a daily basis. I would rate Dr Ben-Meir tops in his field and abiliy. Both his bedside manner and his surgical/medical competance are stellar.

I loved Dr.Ben Meir. My first impression was that he really did not look like the video that we just watched. The Dr. was extremely knowledgable.He answered all of my questions with clarity that was understandable for a typical person. He remained the same throughout the procedure until discharge. After care has been great. He addressed all of my risks. Overall I would rate him a 11 out of 10 he was great. My first surgery and my first hospital stay was excellent. Bedside manner was excellent.

My surgeon is WONDERFUL!!! I cannot say enough good things about him. He has a great bed side manner. He listens carefully to concerns...explains potential issues/failures is instructions are not followed. He has a comfortable personality which was imperative for me. Someone I could trust and communicate with. On a professional level he came very highly recommended and has an excellent reputation. The only negative thing I would have to say is when you have an appointment be prepared to be there for 3 hours or more. But honestly...worth it.

Aftercare and follow up from the team and nursing staff was great. I had a 24/7 contact if I had an emergency. The office called and checked on me several times post op at home. I have met with dietary...attended support groups several times. My incision sites are barely noticeable 6 months post op. Really...best thing I have ever done.

At first I thought that Dr. Ben-Meir was rather stiff and too formal. However, the more I met with him the more convinced I became that this was THE doctor for me. He left no doubt in my mind a to his qualifications, successes, difficulties, what to expect, demands of post-surgery life, etc. His entire staff was beyond thorough and I went into this surgery feeling 100% informed!rnrnDr. Ben-Meir has continued to make me feel as though I am a part of his program even though my surgery is done and, technically, there is no real need to meet with him further. He maintains an open-door policy with regards to post-surgery appointments, has always been thorough in answering my questions and has continued to help me know the follow-up necessary for my bariatric choices.rnrnI would, without any reservation whatsoever, recommend Dr. Ben-Meir to anyone seeking a stellar surgeon with a thorough, pre-, during and post- surgery care program!rnrnTruly, I can not think of ANYTHING negative to say about Dr. Ben-Meir and his staff!

The staff at St. Vincent's is awesome! They are very friendly and helpful. I haven't had my surgery yet, it's secheduled for 9/21, so I can't say anything about the hosiptal staff, however, I've heard they are just as wonderful as the Surgeon's staff!
