I liked Dr. Snow when I first met him he seemed honest and completely competent and he answered all of my questions truthfully he did not try to placate(sugar coat) his answers to me he was very truthful. His office staff is very competent nothing over the top or anything like that I guess they were just like any normal doctor's office staff. The one thing I did not like was the fact that I didn't get to see him the morning of surgery he was running behind and I was already in the Operating Room on the table when he came in and I didn't see him during my hospital stay (he wasn't on duty) and I did not see him for my follow up visit I saw his P.A..I was in the OR for only an hour so I would say his surgical skills are great. Overall I would say he is a very competent surgeon and that is all I can judge him on since I haven't actually seen him since before my surgery.

My first impression was he was a straight forward man right to the point, but also had a sense of humor at the same time. The staff had alot of knowledge to me, anything I asked they were right on it. They didn't have to ask anyone else, I was always treated with respect. Honestly I can't say anything so far that I don't like about Dr. Snow and his staff. Dr. Snow talks about aftercare alot- he gives you a handout that states to drink your water, drink your water several several times in the handout, he believes IF you do what he tells you to, you shouldn't have any trouble, unless it is other medical issues. Dr. Snow lets you know up front the risks and he doesn't hold anything back, Like i said before he is a straight forward man and that is what I like. He doesn't sugarcoat anything. I would rate him right now a 9 on a 10 scale. surgical competence and bedside manner are two important things to me in this surgery. We have been poked at, made fun of and it is time someone treats us with the upmost respect that we deserve. Dr. Snow has performed this surgery for uptennn years and I believe the lord is in Dr. Snows hands. I trust this man 100%.

Oh my gosh, where do I start. Dr. Weinstein to me is an angel in disguise. He made me feel so comfortable and answered all of my questions. He helped me over come the fears and worries that I have. God has truly given this man a gift. I really believe that he is Gods little helper for us obese people. With God in my heart and Dr. Weinstein as my surgeon, I know that I will be fine.

I believe that Dr. Ringold and his whole staff are wonderful, sensitive, and caring people. They provided me with the most comfortable atmoshpere that one could have at a doctor's office. I was very pleased with my experience in this office.
Dr. Ringold took the time to give me all the knowledge that I wanted to know. If he could not answer an insurance question, he sent me to Patricia who had the answer. I thought the excellent professional relationship shined through. It is hard to find an office where everyone seems to enjoy what they do!

Meet Dr. Snow on March 22, 2004, this was a group meeting. He was very nice, funny and very striaght forward with everything. I was really impressed with him. Dr. Snow's staff was great also. And very helpful. Like everyone that is thinking about having WLS you are nervous, but after meeting with him I am at peace with all of this.

Dr. Lane was very honest with me about his views on the surgery. He told me how long he had been doing the surgery and talked extensively with me about the risks involved. I have really enjoyed him as a physician. I felt very comfortable with him and believe him to be very compantant in what he does. His staff was very friendly and prompt.

Dr. Snow has been doing surgery for many years. Gastric by-pass is just one of his specialties. He only performs two gastrics a week. He is older. Probably in his 60's. Dr. Snow has a 'Begin" program that you pay $100.00 for and can later get reimbursed by the insurance coverage. This is so you will take this plan seriously. He conducts the first "class" by explaning exactly what this surgery is going to do for you, and what your responsibilities are. The second meeting Dr. Snow interviews each person and schedules their surgery, while the others in your group are tested in walking up stairs, walking around a track and checking your blood pressure during these events. We were always encouraged to ask questions. And Dr. Snow emphasized that after care is where the true success was and that that was our responsibility. Always told us we could undo the surgery by over-eating at any time. There is a class with a dietician who is so special. She gives you every possible phone number, email address and cell phone numbers you could ever need for her dietary help and/or for problems. Dr. Snow's whole staff treats you so special. I want surgical competence. The nuses are the bedside care for me. Dr. Snow has an associate who is younger and does most follow-up care. With Dr. Snow providing leadership for the first 2 classes I have no problem with seeing an associate. I don't care about a good bedside manner. I am not looking for a friend. I am looking for excellent surgical skills. With Dr. Snow and Dr. Steve Weinstein, I happened to get both. I can't praise this group enough. They have been doing this for years. Not some new group, just starting up. My only complaint is pithy. I live 4 hours from Mobile but that isn't Dr. Snow's fault. I honestly have no negative comments. The hospital experience was wonderful with people who cared about my being successful.

Let me say that Dr. Snow and all his staff, the nurses, receptionists, and the other surgeons in the group are the most outstanding people in the world. They are very encouraging and answer questions willingly. I have had several other friends use the group and have done wonderful. Dr. Snow is very honest and up front. He told me he wasn't sure if he could do the procedure laperscopic or not due to my size but because he's such a good surgeon he did it. From the first time I went for a consaltation to all of my follow up appointments I never had a bad experience. The nurses and doctors are some of the best in the world. I picked Dr. Snow after lots of investigating. I'm a nurse and had a bad infection in my wound years before after a c-section and did not want that to happen again. Dr. Snow assured me of all the steps he would take to prevent it and it worked. I highly recomend Dr. Snow and his staff to anyone considering the surgery. He's very honest and informs you of all the risks of the surgery and aftercare. Your eating habits and the mental changes in your lifestyle. I've heard people say this is the chicken way out, It's not. You still have to do alot of life style changes.
