Dr BAGGS is in the office of Dr Wetter, who is well known , and his office staff just couldn't say enough kind things about him...
he apparently does the operation with Dr. Wetter present. I called on Wed, 02/07/2001, and he could see me 2 days later!
Dr BAGGS was very personable.... easy to talk to... gave great eye contact... straight forward, giving the good with the bad... good sense of humor... he wasn't stuffy, I felt very comfortable in meeting him, and feel like when my time comes, I will be in very good hands.
A picture of him is located here: http://www.thinnerfuture.com/our_surgeons.htm

Office staff is very busy. Surgery Coordinator, Terry is really sweet, being straight forward in telling me that I will have to be patient, 'cuz there is kinda a backlog right now! My letter was dictated the same day by the Dr, however the transcribing is where the delay is. Was informed that I will probably be having my surgery, if all goes well in May. That seems like so far away, but it will be upon me before I know it! Patience is a virtue that I'm still trying to GRASP!!!!!!! 8)

One other reason for chosing this Dr, is the hospital Mills-Penninsula, is under my PPO and I have been told it is top notch! Ann Timberlake was my initial contact thru email to get more information on the surgery, and doctors. She is quick, consistant, and so willing to help. Her email if anyone is interested is: [email protected]

When there was some confusion on my paperwork not getting to the right hands, Terry in office willingly faxed my necessary paperwork, not once but TWICE!!! So willing to get this process moving for me. That is so appreciated!!!

I am SHOCKED by how fast, once they got word of my approval, how soon they scheduled my surgery! I was approved on 03/12/2001, and my surgery is 04/11/2001! Only 1 month later!

04/11/2001 I now know the man has not only fabulous bed side manner, and a real nack of making you feel calm, at his confidence, that he also is a gifted surgeon. My Lap scars are tiny, with no bruising except for 1 entry. I am feeling so well, I know he did good on the inside also!!!! He even humored me and took pix of my guts and gizzards, as I requested. I feel like shouting to the roof tops... trust him, he is gifted, he is marvelous, even if I was only no 5 for RNY for him, he has done numerous other Lap surguries for years. He comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have my first consultation scheduled for April. He is in the same office as Dr. Wetter, who assists Dr. Baggs in surgeries. I picked him because although he is a newer surgeon, he does his surgeries with Dr. Wetter and I can get the surgery done faster if I go with Dr. Baggs...so the way I look at it, I get two surgeons for the price of one!
