I first saw Dr. Teixeira on the Discovery Channel where he was featured. They followed him and a patient through the whole phase of WLS. This was around the time Carnie Wilson had her surgery. He always stayed in mind, and I followed him through the years (thank goodness for the Internet!). When I decided that it was time to start the process, I looked up Dr. T and found that he now practiced at a hospital close to me. I also viewed an on-line video of him performing the gastric bypass. I attended an orientation where he presented. When I met him at my physical, he was very warm, caring, understanding and made me laugh. I know that if I go through with the surgery, I will be in great hands. And his nutritionist is lovely!

OMG... Dr. Teixeira is so great. He is really personable. He answers all of your questions if you have any. The staff there is really nice. Everyone is very helpful and his nutritionist Aisling is an angel. I would definitely recommend Dr. Teixeira to anyone out there looking for a caring surgeon.

Dr. Teixeira is a warm, gentle man. Office staff, friendly and helpful, though always crowded. A thorough pre and post care program. I was well informed of the risks of surgery and what to expect during my hospitalization and recovery. Surgically, I had been told of his superb competence by nurses that work with him in the or, as well as anethesthesiologists, bedside manner was friendly, caring and competent. I had a concern during the first week at home, called his service at 7:30 at night and he called me back within 5 minutes. I recommend him highly.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR. TEIXEIRA WAS WOW WHAT A DOWN TO EARTH SURGEON. HE WAS WARM AND ATTENTIVE AND WILLING TO ANSWER AS MANY QUESTIONS I HAD. PRIOR TO SURGERY HE WAS VERY COMFORTING AND EASED MY FEARS WITH HIS GENUINE DISPOSITION. ALL OF HIS STAFF AS WELL ARE VERY CONCERNED AND PROVIDE ENDLESS INFORMATION ON WLS AND HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL. AFTER CARE AND FOLLOWING UP IS EMPHASIZED FOR ULTIMATE SUCCESS. DR TEIXEIRA AND HIS STAFF ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND ARE ALL WELL VERSED AND VERY EXPERIENCE WITH EVERY ASPECT OF WLS.

VERY WELL INFORMED AND HAS HAD MANY YEARS DOING THIS KIND OF SURGERY,VERY CARING AND UNDERSTANDING.MAKES SURE ALL YOUR QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED AND UNDERSTOOD.HIS STAFF AT THIS MOMENT IS SO OVERWELMED, SINCE HE HAS SO MANY PATIENTS.BUT THEY ARE VERY CARING AND INFORMATIVE.HE EXPLAINED ALL THE DETAILS OF THE SURGERY AND THE AFTER CARE AS WELL AS HIS NUTROINIST.I HAVE NOT HAD MY SURGERY YET SO I CANNOT ANSWER ABOUT HIS AFTERCARE, BUT IF ITS ANYTHING LIKE HIS ORIENTATION WAS, I BELIEVE IT WILL BE VERY GOOD.

I found Dr. Tex to be very sensitive and caring. My impression remains todate, His staff members are caring and kind. He is the busiest doctor I have every come into contact with, I don't believe he ever sits still. If you are plannig to have surgery with him please expect to have a long waiting period he is very busy. He is dedicated to his work and very involved in your treatment. I have a friend that had the surgery one year ago and she raves on his program. Very gently but stressed the dangers and complications in detail, You must follow the aftercare diets and restrictions in order to a an sucessful wsl.Over all Dr. Tex shows skill, and understanding of the pain that an morbid obese pt undergoes. In regards to competence, bedside manner I think they are both very important to the recovery and selfesteem of the pt. This is my opinion of Dr. Tex I haven't had surgery yet but so far he has been really informative and kind.

DR.TEIXEIRA IS A WONDERFUL FRIENDLY DOCTOR, WHO IMMEDIATELY MADE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE. ON THE DAY OF MY SURGERY HE WENT TO SEE ME WHEN I WAS GETTING READY AND I FELT SO GOOD I HAD MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE IN SURGEON THAT I WENT IN TO SURGERY WITH A VERY POSITIVE ATTITIUDE AND I CAME OUT OF THERE FEELING FINE, LITTLE PAIN,HE CAME THAT EVENING TO SEE ME AND EVERY DAY I WAS THERE TO SEE IF I HAD ANY PROBLEMS,HE;S A GREAT DOCTOR, THE NURSES AT ST;LUKES(HIS NEW HOSPITAL) COULD BE A LITTLE BETTER BUT OVERALL THE HOSPITAL WAS GOOD, I WAS ASKED LIKE 8 TIMES MY NAME ,MY DOB AND WHY I WAS THERE AS I WENT THREW EVERY PROCESS.WHICH WAS GOOD I WAS HAVING THE CORRECT PROCEDURE DONE. I;M HOME AND I FEEL GOOD I SHOULD BE BACK AT WORK BY NEXT WEEK.THANKS DR. TEIXEIRA.I GIVE HIM AN A++++++ AND IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT.

very understanding and very concerned my impression overtime has not changed. the office staff was very well trained and very polite and understanding. there is nothing that I did not like about my surgeons, he knows his work and very compatent. The aftercare program is very well organized. If I had to rate him on a scale of 1-10 I would give him a 20. His surgical competence and bedside manner where great.

He was professional, warm and informative.

Well the 1st impresiion I had on Dr. Teixeira was that he was either mad tired or drunk couse his eyes sag, but over the time I notice is just a look he is a very nice and experienced doctor. His staff is very profesional and very helpful on showing you all the procedures and the after complications. What I least liked about him was that he is a very busy man so he does not have enough time, but there is were his colege dr. Gibbs come in, when he can't be there she will so it's good anyways. Well he did emphasize a lot on the complications after if u did not take care or did what he recomended and some people having more risks than other depending on their health situation. I rate Dr. Teixeira and his partner Dr. Gibbs they are just great Dr. wonderfull coleges, I thank God and them for having such a healthy journey. Both surgical and bedside manner were both great like I said before excellent coleges so everything finish been perfect.
