JourneyLite of Cincinnati Bariatric Center
Very nice doctor feel very confident having him perform this extremly high risk surgery very professional and explains everything in complete detail and is vry real with you doesn't sugar coat very honest let you know right upfront what is expected
I have interviewed & researched several surgeons & I was by far, most impressed with Dr. Curry! I had my initial consultation with him on 4-4-05. The office staff is a perfect fit for his practice. The only negative at this visit is the size of the waiting room (on the small side) & no good magazines to read! My husband & I good- naturedly kidded the receptionist about this problem & she promised to remedy the situation immediately!
I was very impressed with Dr. Curry. He was kind as well as very professional. Willing to
spend the time to explain the procedure and answer questions. I have only met with him once so far.
The office staff was very friendly and extremely helpful
I finally met Dr. Curry and he was as personable and knowledgeable as I have heard so many people say about him. I was comfortable with him immediately and he took to time to talk to me about the different surgeries. Right now, I would give him a 10!
I had my first initial consultation with Dr. Curry on 11/23/04 and he and his staff were very thoughtful and caring. I was most appreactiative with Dr. Curry taking the time and explaining the RNY Lap procedure so thorough. I was approved after an appeal on 2/22/05 and my surgery date was 3/10/05. Dr. Curry's staff and myself busted our behinds on getting me approved. Many thanks goes out to Dr. Curry and his staff. On a scale of 1-10, Dr. Curry is a 10!
I first met Dr.Curry in July of 2004 and I thought he was very pleasent and friendly. He asked some questions and then we talked about the surgery and how he would do it. He showed me a virtual video on how he would be doing the RNY step by step. He took the time to explain it in detail, which is great because most doctors just want to get to the next patient. He followed up with asking me if I had any questions but he did such a great job of explaining the procedure that I didn't have many questions left. But he was glad to answer them.
His office staff is very friendly and always polite and pleasent. I had a hard time with getting some of my stuff together for my insurence and Tracy was on the ball and she was always ready for the next step. She did an excellant job because she got me approved with the first letter. Thank you so much.
I have met with Erin the nutritionist twice and she is also another great asset to his office. She has put together and great package with listings of things I will need to have a successful weight loss journey. I haven't had the opportunity yet to met the rest of his staff but I am sure that I will like them as much as I do the others.
Keep up the good work ladies and Dr. Curry and I will pass on the word!!! See you on the big day!!!
Dr. Curry truly cares for his patients and is interested in your ongoing weight loss and well-being. He also has a great sense of humor and good bedside manner.
My first impressons of Dr Curry and his staff were they have it all "together". Not one stone was left unturned, every aspect of the journey was covered - all risks and benefits were covered!!!! I have felt very comfortable about calling and asking questions, they were always answered!
Dr Curry's office was great about submitting to my insurance provider (another Bariatric Center refused to help with my insurance) and helped me on my way to get approval.
The office staff is friendly and well informed. They make you feel like "family".
Dr Curry has a structured aftercare program, including a dietician. This is wonderful!
Dr Curry and Staf... rated a 10 on a scale of 10!
Dr Curry's bedside manner and surgical competence are fabulous!
the only negative... the long, long drive from Russells Point to Cincinnati.... but it was worth it!
another negative... there are no support groups within an hour's drive to my hosue! I hope that with the website, that one will be started soon!
I had my first consultation with Dr. Curry and his Staff Dec. 9, 2004. The whole experience was great. I look forward to working with Dr. Curry and his staff in my Lap Band Process and becomming healthy.
If you are looking for a doctor, look no further. I live in Indianapolis, and Dr. Curry is in Cincinatti and it was well worth the trip to be seen by such a great team.
Dr. Curry and his team are fantastic. I had such good care all around.
Also I was so well educated and prepared for this surgery.
I was banded on Feb. 3, 2005. I can't believe how well it went.
He seemed very genuinly concerned about me as a patient. Not just like some with the attitude as "it's a job"
The office staff and other members of his bariatric team were awesome. I felt very welcome, and they were very friendly, and concerned about my needs.
I don't think there was one thing I didn't like.
I would highly recommend his center and staff to anyone considering WLS.
Definately concerned about making sure you go to follow-up visits, and group meetings after.
One week, one month, three months, and six months after care appointments. And wants you to attend a group meeting once a month after for a year.
I was pretty well educated from reading and researching, but had tutorials on the computer and was going through each step, and the two different types of procedures, and which was better for me and why. If I knew nothing I'm sure he would've answered any questions.
I've only been once, and I already know this is definately the surgeon for my WLS.
He has been doing surgeries for 6 years, open and laproscopic. And has only been doing Bariatric surgeries, open and laproscopic for 1 year, but seems like he knows what he is doing well. And seems like he would be a great surgeon. And concerned about any questions or complications.
